AMAZING WEEK! The environment is reading for flowering. Lighting, feeding, watering, air temp and CO2 are all stable and should give my plants a stress free life. Humidity is still high, so I'll need to come up with a plan for dealing with that ASAP. I've introduced CO2 into the grow with my brand new AirBomz unit. It uses a light sensor that releases CO2 when the lights turn on, and then uses a timer to release every 2hrs until the light switch off. I doubt I'll reach the 1200PPM stated by the manufacturer, mainly because I'm running an extraction, but I figure some is better than none. Cool controller also included. After doing some reading I can see there's two things that I need to look out for: A) Switching off the extraction so it doesn't suck away the precious CO2 before the plants have had a chance to absorb it B) Making sure the room doesn't get too hot whilst the extraction is off, causing heat stress My solution is: A) Switch off extraction for 15mins at the AirBomz 2hr interval B) Use the Temp Controller the switch off the circulation fan when temp exceeds 27C C) Controller then switches on the active intake when temp exceeds 28C D) Temp is held at 29C whilst the extraction is off D) Extraction turns back on after 15 mins, temp drops below 27C E) Temp controller switches off active intake... F) ...And switches on the circulation fan G) Repeats every 2hrs NEXT WEEK: Work out how much the girls are drinking! I'll know when I change the reservoir.

The Apple Betty babies are doing great 😊 I’m very pleased with the results so far, I just wished I would have known they would have such a large stretch, they D almost doubled in size in 14 days. At day 8 I stopped tucking the branches and allowed them to grow up. In hindsight, I probably should have kept going for another couple of days. They continued to stretch rapidly all the way up to date 12 or so, much more than my other strain that I have going as well. At day 10 I cleaned up some of the small bud sites and leaves that were below the 1st trellis. These sites do not get enough light to make anything good, and take away energy from the main tops as they grow and compete. A quick snip here and there will really help the end result. At day 13 I decided to add a second trellis net to provide support to the tops that came up so fast. They seem to have stopped their main stretch faze, and are looking happy and healthy now. I’ve continued my water, water, feed schedule and have not seen any cause for concern. The girls are taking a little over a gallon of water every 72 hours at this point. Humidity is being controlled automatically with my in-line fan and humidifier. RH is set to 57% and temps hover between 77-80 degrees with lights on, and about 70-72 with light off thanks to my furnace being back on for the cooler temps. The 2x4 5 gallon girl is doing great as well. 😊During the stretch, she flourished just as the girls in my big tent did as well. She is going to have some great bud, the branch structure is nicely developed with tight node spacing and large tops. I’ve been plucking off all the lower growth, and tucking leaves as they block bud sites. I will be doing a defoliation next week. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️

Day 73: Early/mid flower for G. Crack & Mexican.. nearing late for CBD crack. These girls are thirsty, so much watering is happening, but the smell isn't nearly as strong as the first round is even though they are all bigger. This is a test post for videos, next one will be for the contest. Day 75: G-crack 58cm CBD Crack 30cm Mexican Airlines 20cm CBD is closest to maturity. Her leggy stature gives ample opportunity for the different buds to get light. Mex is starting to get fuller buds, but she's short and stout and her leaves are in the way. G is way too large for me to get the right amount of light on her, wish I had defoliated her more, will probably harvest in parts. None of these girls smell as strongly as the previous grow. CBD is a bit diesely but fresh. G is smokey but light right now. Mexican is spicey and woodsy. I can't really place the scents just yet.

The bottom watering worked for the week I think as away happy with results think I might just bottom water regularly and feed the tea from top every other changing 2/8 I did a good clean up and some pining Monday 2/10 I will filp to flower I also added power bloom today 2/8

This week we haven't really experience anything too crazy, plant C had a little underwatering issue she got thirsty started to look pretty weak the 1st day of week 6 (for her only) she had recovered by the end of day 1 before going into the dark cycle. As the week progresses we should see some more tricome production and some more development of the bud sites. I'm hoping the underwatering that happened won't stunt or hurt the end yield too bad, that was a bad moment of laziness... whoops. Overall I haven't had any problems yet with pests there's been a lot of gnats and spiders on the outside of the tent but nothing on the inside. For a cheap tent it's working awesome. It does have some light leakaround the zippers but this isn't a problem for me as I'm growing in a darker area already. But if this were in a bright room all the time this tent would be a bad choice. Now as week 7 progresses we'll start seeing more rapid Bud development and see some increased tricome production. To think this girl (plant A) is just barely over halfway done is crazy. I have ended up removing the entire bottom 1/3 of the plant in the form of defoliation of the yellowed and dying leaves. People say don't defoliate Autos for shock reasons I hope it doesn't really matter.

I think I started flushing to early, back to feeding for 2 more weeks then I will flush, I goofed on the flowering time I did not take into consideration the veg time for 4 weeks so my harvest is more like a month out I see some yellowing in the lower leaves these nugs need to put on some weight so back to feeding. I scrapped the SCROG and the Blue Dream. Some new pics and some new time-lapse. A small tribute to one of the greatest Drummers in the world. RIP Neil Peart. they are starting to smell a little stronger. I hope I did not mess these up gave them a diluted feeding today 1/11/20 and soaked the whole pot till run off, PH was 6.1 PPM was 1780 lets see what happens this week. Trichomes are looking milky and a few amber, I want to see next week if it puts on any more weight, Got a good comment on my question regarding early feeding and stunting the growth Thanks GD Community. I will try not to RUSH these ladies and give them a little more time. 🙏

7/6 Plants looked great thos morning. I WATERED A GALLON to the 50 and split one between the two tens. Top of the bags are still moist amd they still have some heft. I'm hoping this will at least carry me 48hrs. These are BIG plants and the wind goes right through those bags and dries them out. I'd rather have that though than worry about overwatering. I noticed some minor deficiencies on a couple plants so it's time to start the nutes. Calcium I'd guess. Just a beginning stage but it's time. Next feeding they'll get some food too. I'll still monitor during the day to make sure they ront dry out. It's amazing how fast they come back after they dry out but it stresses them. EDIT: I WENT OVER AROUND 2OM AND IT WAS OVERCAST AND 83°. ALL THE PLANTS LOOKED GREAT AND ALL OF THEM WERE STILL SLIGHTLY NOIST EXCEPT THE 10TH PLANET. THEY ALL HAD SOME HEFT TO THEM TOO. THE SUN IS OUT BRIGHTER NOW BUT IT MAY RAIN TONIGHT AND CONSIDERING HOW GOOD THE PLANTS LOOKED I THINK IVE FOUND MY CORRECT WATERING RATIO. IM NOT GOIMG TO 9VET WATER IN THESE GROW BAGS WITH ALL THIS WIND. I NOTICED SOME FOUR LINED PLANT BUG MARKS ON ONE OF THE LITTLE PLANTS AND REMOVED A FEW LEAVES FROM THAT THIRSTY 10TH PLANET THAT COULD BE SEPTORIA. For at least 45 mins it rained harder than I've EVER seen it. Pure sheet rain. It turned over to heavy rain before moving out. The plan was to water everything this morning and start feeding. As I said in the video the soul was still moist amd the bags still had some heft. Not like I just watered them though. I stopped by a local dispo on my way home and talked with the best grower I personally know (thanks Junior) and his advice was the same as what I was planning. I planned on going around noon to check them. He said I could probably wait until like six and then when I do water give them like a 1 1/2 gallons to make up for that monsoon we had earlier. I showed him the video and explained how I have been watering. My intuition feels good about this. I may go check on them earlier but I don't think it's necessary. As usual I'll update as I go. EDIT: AS SUGGESTED (WELL I SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE) I WENT OVER TO FIND ALL NY PLANTS LOOKING GORGEOUS EXCEPT THE 10TH PLANET REVEG THAT WAS A "LITTLE" SAGGY. I LIFTED THEM AND FELT THE SOIL IN THE BAGS. I DECIDED ON WATERING AS PLANNED EVEN THOUGH IT MIGHT HAVE MADE IT UNTIL NORNING. THIS WAS MY WATERING DAY ANYWAY. HOWEVER I ONLY WATERED 1 GAL PER 20 1.5 FOR 30 AND .5 FOR 10. I THINK THAT WILL WORK OUT GREAT WITH THE UPCOMING COOLER TEMPS. IT WAS SO HOT. DIDNT HAVE TIME BUT SHIT IS LOOKING GOOD. 7/8 Finally that hot streak has broken. It's in the 70s and it rained a little last night. Had to use an iPhone and send it to me because my phone was dead. My plan worked out great and everything is looking fantastic. We may get some rain tonight but I'll be watching the forecast. I DO need to feed and may do that. I might wait until next week. I also need to figure out what to do about that four lined plant bug. The birds that perch on my cage do a good job getting pests. Knock on wood I haven't seen many. I killed one pillar and there's just that four lined plant bug. That's really the only damage. I'd Hate to spray my girls with a bunch of shit over ONE bug. We shall see and I'll keep this updated.

D-70 : At this stage, I'm a bit.... surprised that the Desfrans are not taller thant they are. The smallest one is 35cm wich is really small for a 100% sativa strain. The tallest one is about 56cm, wich is also quiet small I think. If I compare with some other diaries, the tallest one could be in the target if we take into account that I trained them a lot during their first weeks. But the small one is almost the half she should be... There's no sign of deficency, none ! I have 420w @ 50 cm from the top, so it's not because of the light. The container is a 20L smartpot. I simply do not understand. Is it juste because of that phenotype ? Will she grow during the next 7-9 weeks untill she'll recover her late ? I Modified a bit the position of the light so the Lumatek 100w FullSpectrum on the side of the box is really pointed to the "slow" girls. We'll see if it change anything but I really doubt about it... The only lead I have is : Desfran loves HEAT and Light. The 2 smallest are on the coldest side of the box, even if it's not cold at all. But it is the side near the window...

Week 2 and she is fast ! Flowers are developing super nice, she is growing a lot every single day, no slowing down. She is happy in all the ways and she is getting massive, super tall and great structure overall ! Amazing strain so far !

Well, another week has passed and it has been growing not exactly as I expected, but they warned me about using only base fertilizers with an inert soil and a higher ambient temperature, I could have a not so good result, well, it's one more experience and I liked it and let's see how it will be until the end of the cycle because the next one I already ordered a starter kit from the advanced nutrients line! Let's Go!
