Grow report week 4: The training and the topping Hello dear growers and groweresses, it’s time for an update on my grow. My plants have completed the fourth week and have grown further. But they have also experienced some measures that I will tell you about. The training This week I continued the low-stress training (LST) and tied the plants further. The LST is a method to gently bend and tie the plants to improve the light distribution and air circulation. The goal is to keep the plants low and wide and promote more side shoots and flower heads. The topping In addition to the LST, I also applied the topping to make the plants even bushier. The topping is a method to cut off the top of the plant to interrupt the apical dominance and produce more main shoots. The goal is to branch the plant and produce more flowers. I performed the topping as follows: I watered the plants well to reduce the stress. I cut off the top of the plant above the third or fourth node to create two new shoots. I observed the plants and looked for signs of stress or shock. The topping also worked well and the plants recovered quickly. They formed two new main shoots that will later become large colas. They also put more energy into the side branches, which will also carry more flowers. The fertilization I also fertilized for the first time this week, although I actually wanted to start late with it. I used the Fish-Mix from BioBizz to give the plants more nitrogen. Fish-Mix is an organic liquid fertilizer that consists of fish parts from the North Sea and organic sugar beet extract. It stimulates the biological activity of the soil and the plant growth. The Fish-Mix did well for the plants and they showed more growth. They formed more leaves and shoots and became greener and healthier. They also absorbed more nitrogen and produced more proteins. The outlook I am very satisfied with the result of the fourth week. My plants have been well trained and topped and have shown great growth. I am very curious about the next week, where I have to activate my setup completely to give the plants their final place and pots. It will be exciting for me to see if my system works as I wished. I will continue to observe the plants and respond to their needs. I will adjust the light intensity, the fertilization and the training to achieve the best results. Not a whole lot going on this week. Did some light trimming and removed the wires. Main stem on all 4 are nice and flat, going to let the girls veg out for a few weeks and just grow up wards. Moved the lights up 16 inches to let them stretch out. I also switched light cycles.. read an article that mentioned a lot of benefits to having 8 hours on and 4 hours off. Specifically I've noticed a lot of benefits ik terms of cooling and environmental control. I havent had to push water bottles into my buckets ar all this week. And it seems to be growing at a normal rate.

WEEK 5 8/16- Alrighty! Start of week five and all the ladies are in flower and starting to look sexy as hell! Even the Crystal Meth #2 in the SOHUM Living Soil that had a soil ph of 5.2-5.4 and 4.2 ph runoff on a 4 1/2 gallon flush of 7.7 ph water is doing well! I checked the ph on her soil this morning and she's at 6.4...PERFECT! I gave all the girls a drink of de-chlorinated water in the amount of 2 1/2g with 1 tsp CalMag+ added and ph'd to 6.9 split evenly between them. 8/17- Day 30- The girls are all really growing like crazy filling out their 10g fabric pots. I went through all of them today and, using the green horticultural wire LST'd the crap out of everyone! I know, I know....LST on Day 30??? I've LST'd this late before and had really good results so giving it a go this run. Gave all the girls a small drink as they were moist 2" down using 2 1/2g de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.8 @ 75 deg. After I LST'd all the girls, I selectively tucked shade leaves and defoliated a couple here and there and also removed all the shitty little undergrowth down low on the main stalks. Can't believe the FastBuds Crystal Meth #2 came back from the edge of oblivion. I checked her medium(SOHUM Living Soil) ph which is still @ 6.4...whew! I think she's gonna do just fine, although not as good as her sister who's an obviously different phenotype. 8/18- Cranked up the HLG 650R's to max today. Now drawing 1300w at the wall-650w each and raised both lights to 42" high which is giving 800-1100 umols depending on what place on the canopy you check. 8/19- I administered the second dose of live Nematode's with the girls morning watering. I put the Nematodes in 2 1/2 gallons of de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.8 @ 74 deg. and split it evenly between all eight pots. I tightened up the LST on all the girls to keep spreading them out and getting better light penetration into the lower canopy. 8/20- I started a batch of Compost Tea this morning- 4 cups worm castings, 1 cup of Alfalfa Meal, 1 cup Kelp Meal, 2 tbsp Bat Guano into 4 1/2 gallons of de-chlorinated water with a 6.9ph in which I added 5 tbsp of unsulphured molasses as a catalyst for the microbes. I'll brew this for 48 hours. The ladies all were moist enough that I felt safe skipping the water for today, I'll give them a light watering tomorrow, then a heavy feed with the compost tea. I went through and tucked the heck out of leaves blocking bud sites from light (this is a chore as the girls are getting BUSHY as hell!) and removed a few scattered fan leaves that refused to be tucked and were really blocking light into the lower canopy....can't be having that, need the LIGHT! 8/21- Ladies were all looking very perky this morning and the FastBuds Crystal Meth and Purple Lemonade are both getting beautiful purple shades to them especially the FastBuds Crystal Meth #1 in Natures Living Soil Autoflower Concentrate, she's absolutely on FIRE although her node spacing is very wide. The #2 Crystal Meth in SOHUM that had the ph issue with her medium seems to have recovered after I flushed the shit out of her. She's behind her sister and definitely has a different structure than the #1 phenotype. The Purple Lemonade #1 & #2 are both flowering with #2 looking way better. The #1 Purple Lemonade has some thick kushy leaves and she's a short little biatch, in contrast to the #2 which is tall and lanky with wider node spacing. The #2 Purple Lemonade is having a little issue apparently with the nitrogen level in the medium as she's getting 'claw tips' on several of her leaves and judging by her dark green coloration, she's nitrogen rich right now. I'll keep an eye on her but don't think it's a big issue at this moment in time. The Seedsman Gelato OG in Natures Living Soil Autoflower Concentrate is getting bushy and has filled out the 10 gallon fabric pot. She's got a ton of bud sites and it's a struggle training to keep all the sites exposed to light. The #2 Gelato OG in SOHUM is doing about the same as her sister but she's not quite as tall. The Seedsman Zkittles #1 slowed down on her stretch and just decided to get bushy instead! She's still in pre-flower but is very healthy and will be getting it on very soon! Her 'Sin Twisters' Zkittles #2 & #3 are beautiful and in flower. The Zkittles 'twins' were previously the shortest plants in this run but have caught up and are as tall as the Zkittles #1 @ 14". 8/22- End of Week 4! The girls got Compost Tea ( 8.1 ph, 840 ppm and 1636 EC @ 78 deg.) for breakfast this morning along with a top dress on the six ladies growing in Natures Living Soil Autoflower Concentrate / Fox Farms Happy Frog mix. The two SOHUM pots with the Seedsman Gelato OG #2 and FastBuds Crystal Meth #2 got 4 tbsp of 2-8-4 slow release dry amendments by Down To Earth top dressed and worked in by hand. I gave them each 1/2 gallon of Compost Tea after top dressing to help water in the nutrients. I went through all the girls and tucked and gently spread their branches to continue to train them as they get ready to really start flowering. The FastBuds girls are getting MORE colorful each and every day and I can't wait to open the tent each morning to see them....BEAUTIFUL!!!

Ab Tag 19 haben wir angefangen sie mit einem Minerlischen NPK Dünger (NPK 7-3-5) zu Gießen . Besonderheiten: Die Linsen wurden entfernt und wir haben mir dem LST begonnen, wir haben ihnen noch ein paar Nützlinge in die erde gesetzt -Tag 16 Heute haben wir mit dem LST Begonnen und sie hat sich sehr gut vom Toppen erholt. - Tag 18 heute wurde sie Entlaubt damit die Triebe mehr kraft bekommen und schön im Licht stehen. - Tag 19 heute wurden wieder die LST Sticks angepasst damit sie in form bleibt.

The greenhouse is now packed. The night's got a little bit warmer, weather was partly cloudy and the temperatures during the day went up to 30 in the greenhouse. They are ready for the final transplant and to be finally outdoors. This will happen after the next week. Also most of the other plants will go to they're final place. Time to say goodbye. The plants recovered well from topping. Having my troubles to decide wich one of the two Mimosa Evo and Jack Herer plants might be the stronger ones? One i keep the other will go to some friend....

Kept tucking leaves and tried to fill up the canopy. Guess it's working out. We'll see. Any tips? I see a lot of buds developing, deep in the canopy. They seem to catch a fairly amount of light. In hindsight, could I have trimmed them more a couple weeks ago? Early on in the grow the two light hung closer together, therefore the right half of the tent got to much lighting before I replaced the light, further apart. I'm thinking this being the cause of the right half of the tent being lower then the left side. I'm hoping it will catch up.

Day 71. Biggest by size, but maybe not by overall weight of harvest ;)))) she is most hungry and lost foliage... This girl definetly makes me regret, that i didn't use any nutes ... Smell is weakish, worst from all 3 . Mars TS1000 did a great job to her during veg, but now she spends time under my quantum board. Took most damaged leaves away. 3.5 liters of water goes in. Day 76. 3.5 liters in. Lower part is far from maturity, she needs like 3 weeks still i think. Getting some funky colours ... Happy Growing !!!

We begin the third week of flowering with a look at those many growing buds all over the canopy of these FastBuds photo fems. The plants themselves exploded in size to the sides and top of the tent, filling it completely!

Short and stacked with really tight Node Spacing. Packing on the frost already! I decided to go in and take some of the larger Fan leaves off being very selective in which and how many I take .

Gorilla cookies was doing really good until last 24 hours. Looks like a little phosphorus deficiency on leaves. I flushed her out and refreshed nutrition. Ph is good and everything is set. Hopefully she should bounce right back. D71: She seems to have grown a bit in the last day and the pistils are for sure looking more orange than white. Now I´ll keep an eye on the thricomes, still clear yet with little cloudy, using the microscope. This one, unlike her unfortunate sister, I intend to let develop to full maturity. No watering yet as she still has some. D72: Everyday I´m checking for rot, and it wasn´t today. D73: Watered 2L with 1,5ml of cal-mag trying to resolve a possible iron deficiency. D74: The pistils are all orange already but the thrics are yet mostly cloudy. She seems very close to harvest tho. D75: Found a little set of leaves from a larf that were starting to want to rot and blocking airflow so I just cut them off. Humidity is high ( and I´m having trouble and no budget to control it ) and her thricomes aren´t developing in the pace the pistils are starting to turn orange. Otherwise, the buds are incredibly beautiful, with nice purple colors on the sugar leaves and some calyxes and a big big amount of thricomes everywhere! D76: Well, today when I arrived at home and went to see the tent I noticed mold on her. The thricomes were about 20-25% clear unfortunately but I had to chop her, I can´t control the high humidity at the lights off period and it would only get worse and I would lose much more buds. The overall size was ok, very big buds – which I lost at least 25% of them -, mostly medium buds, both very beautiful and dense, and a huuuge amount of larfs that were hidden in the middle, but I can´t blame that on anyone else except myself. The smell is incredible tho, looking forward to smoke her. In the next weeks I´ll be updating with the harvest week and strain review. Thank you for reading, stay safe and peace ✌️

03/17/2022 9 weeks today 63 days Time to break out my loupe to inspect for ripeness 😆✌️🏻seeds are loaded in tops l, so lower buds will be my focus.

02/23/2022 Lots of stretching this week,not much to say so I let the pics and videos talk for them selves🙏🏻 Enjoy Grape Skunk tall and lanky one I'm loving! I will number her for future reference. Biscotti Skunk has some droopy leaves, it's watering day.

My o my, what can I say... These ladies are gorgeous! Along with adding in the 2000W along side my 600W, I cut out the grow solution in my nutes contrary to the instructions and my ladies are booming! We'll see how the rest of the week continues! I started a majority bloom with some added glucose for my feed to help with bud weight but they are really packing on. Hopefully next week will be my last week of feeding as trichrome production increases and I can start my 2 week flush!
