What another great week it’s been , today is Day 39 from seed an the lil ladies have jumped into preflower 😍! Yesterday gave em the trim up of the unders , kinda popsicled you can say to each one, cause we want to focus on them colas ! Hey all! 🙌 It's me again, after a hiatus I'm back in action and this time I'll be growing two plants! The strain is Green Gelato from Royal Queen Seeds and the two babies are going to be Pistachio and Matcha, two green ice creams flavors to match with the strain name! 😋 I started soaking both seeds in a glass with water for 24 hours to hydrate them (I forgot to take a photo of this!) and after that I placed them in a jiffy pellet. After some days Pistachio was the first one to show while Matcha was still being a little behind. During this I made a small mistake, instead of opening the cardboard box where I placed the seeds I left the baby plant inside so she grew a bit too much during the night... ooops! But nothing too serious (I got it fixed after moving her into a cup). Some days after Matcha appeared but it seemed she was having a small issue, it seemed like part of her shell was still stuck to her so I helped by removing it and then she started to grow normally once again. Right now I moved Pistachio to one of those red cups and I used some mycorrhizas on her! Glomus mosseae and glomus intraradices to be more precise! Next week I'll be doing the same with Matcha. 😊 I also started making a timelapse (I think it looks awful haha but it helps to see how Matcha started to recover!) Plants took a few days to get stripped down. Missed the second week of flowering and stretching but oh well there is always next time. Very excited to see this canopy full of uniform buds its going to be a sight to behold haha.

As I did the flushing in day 70 I was watching the trichomes and on day 87 I could see 25-35% amber so I decided to cut it. I cut the whole plant on the base and hang the whole plant to dry. For this reason I will update my findings later when it gets dry and trimmed about yield and numbers. So far really happy with the results. It will probably be the champs of this run yielding nicely 👍🏼.

Day 21 During lights out, I dialed up the light to 50% (200w). Day 26 They are hungry and not growing. The moisture meter has only moved from really wet to wet since transplant on day 13. This new medium is much different than coco-loco. I'm going to top dress when the lights come back on. These plants should be a lot bigger. I feel like ripping them up and starting over. Ready to try my hand at photo-periods. One mistake with autos and the whole grow is phuked! SMH😡 Both these plants together will probably yield half ounce. Not worth the electricity. If I don't see miraculous response to top dressing, they are going in the trash!

Autos are just starting to flower the photos are dying for some bigger pots. I've been trying to bring up the overall plant health in general since moving everything to a basement the temps are a little lower than ideal. I had a space heater delivered today and monitored the temps but they only went up to around 78°f I want it to be atleast 82°f ideally 85. The heater uses 1500 watt and only increased it about 2 or 3°. I dont think it's worth the extra cost for such little boost. I'm thinking about returning the heater and throwing a 1000w hps in one of the other tents and see if that will raise it anymore. Especially with LED and co2 higher temps would be very beneficial in veg and early flower but the room is so big its gunna be tough to pull off without killing me on electric costs. Any suggestions are welcome. I know this room does decent in flower but I havnt done much veg work down here and I'll have some autos growing this round so it's important I get it up.

Week 16 (Harvest) 1-2 Drying day 1 Temperature: 24.5 to 19.5 degrees Humidity: 65% to 50% The girls are ready to be harvested! Before chopping them down, i took a lot of pictures. I was able to remove most of the soil from the Biscotti #2 to see the rootball. I hang the plants as a whole to have a slow dry. The exhaust fan is on setting 4. 2-2 Drying day 2 Temperature: 19.1 to 17.5 degrees Humidity: 62% to 57% I changed the exhaust fan to setting 2 because setting 4 was a bit high in my opinion. 3-2 Drying day 3 Temperature: 19.9 to 18 degrees Humidity: 62% to 59% Today i checked up on the drying plants, and i see there are some buds touching other buds, so i chopped the plants in half. The buds are still to the main stem for a slow dry, but are hanging more spreaded out to prevent any budrot issues. I changed the exhaust fan to setting 1, as someone told me that it was enough air movement for drying. 4-2 Drying day 4 Temperature: 19.8 to 18.5 degrees Humidity: 62% to 59% 5-2 Drying day 5 Temperature: 19.9 to 18.8 degrees Humidity: 62% to 59% Today i checked on the drying plants and the buds are shrinking a bit, they are getting a little bit crispy on the outside aswell, I hope they wont dry as fast, and i aim for a 12/14 day dry. For the next grow i already germinated 2x Chemdog (GreenHouseSeeds) 2x Gorilla Kush (GanjaFarmerSeeds) and 1x Deep Candy CBD (GreenHouseSeeds) And I have some upgrades planned aswell! I bought a autopot kit with 4 15L pots, this way the plants will have water and air 24/7 whenever they need it. I have seen alot of great results using autopots so i am very exited to try it out! Edit from 19th May. Literally 00:09 Pre-Flowering. Fat Banana looks like Hermie. Royal Critical = clean pre-flower. Edit from 19th May. 16:26 Fat Banana had balls sack and pistils growing all over the place. I nuked everything that had balls on it. I left only top node with pistils. Royal Critical is full of pistils, no balls. Now I wish I had photoperiod seeds instead of automatics. I would give Critical 1 extra week in veg. She is around 10-15cm smaller then Fat Banana. I switched the lights back to 400W. Edit from 20th May. 14:45 I think 32C is maximum what these plants can handle. With 600W I was reaching 34C on some top leaves and that could possibly turn the Fat Banana into hermit (she was the tallest). I open the tent a little (front doors), I put big-ass fan on second gear blowing strong wind through the mesh-window of a tent. I put the lights straight up to the ceiling, I literally can't put them any higher. Fat banana is now 58cm tall and around 80cm away from the light. Royal Critical is now 41cm tall and around 100cm away from the light. 50% Humidity 28C under the canopy/on the ground under the leaves 31C Air temperature. Sometimes, occasionally one or two "teenagers" or "baby" Gnats would fly out from bottom of pot or top of the soil after watering but that's like nothing comparing to what I had at the beginning. Right now plants sitting at 30.6C @ 55% RH So I'm sitting at 1.27 VPD? I'm like 5 days late with this update so I have had to pin videos that I took the same week while I was communicating with TRYHARD so ignore any dialogue that's out of context they aren't diary logs they are simply correspondence between myself And TRY, oh and sorry about my language I'm common as muck me. The pictures are just random pics I took that week as oppose to my usual more organised method but hey ho I'll do a more tidy job next week. The week went swimmingly barring some nitrogen deff on the lowers which I initially put down to the hot weather drying the pots too quickly and causing nute lockout with the salt buildup so I flushed then gave them a nice feed after they dried the pot at which point I noticed the most heavily afflicted by the N deff were also the quickest drinkers and had lower EC on the runoff so I have been giving them a slightly stronger feed than the others and it seems to have solved everything so I'm happy with that. Bud development is nice, frost is nice, terps are through the roof right now..... Zkittlez ones are really stinking of lime and candy bubblegum Punch ones are stinking berry berry nice! Another good week! I fed them once on Monday. A final shot to boost them for finishing up. I am pretty certain they will finish within 2 weeks.I also watered them on Thursday and today (Sunday). I defoliated both plants earlier this week as well. For one, I needed to open the canopy up to help keep the humidity down but, there were a lot of leaves yellowing and turning brown. I was not feeding them correctly... in the sense that I wasn't watering enough in between feeds. There were excess nutrients built up in the soil and I believe that led to the nutrient burn. Also, this was my first and only feed without the Grow Big due to flushing for week 9. I followed the Fox Farm feed schedule... but, I think I needed to understand my plants better! I also believe I stunted these girls! One is about 24" tall and the other is 21" tall. Both on the very low end of the growth chart. Overall, I am very happy!! So much to experience and learn in such a short window of time! I've thoroughly enjoyed this grow! I look forward to the harvest and experiencing all that is to come! One last thing... Anyone use GrowBuddy and any word on what is going on with the current download? I've followed the drama around taking so long and all that (the new hardware soon to be for sale for 2.0)... but, the website now says the software is available for free and working on Macs and Windows.... So, I downloaded it last night and I cannot activate an account. Everything has a greyed over kind of look... So, I assume they took some part of their servers offline...
