Another great week, saw some great bud production and stacking. All great signs of a good yield. Increased the bloom nutrients to accommodate the plants demands during this intense growth spurt, while making sure they are balanced with a straight phd water feed to help break up any deposits that may be accumulating. When I use just water, I’ll water until I see about a 15% runoff, and test the ph of the runoff, should be within your 5.8-6.3 range. I’ve got lots of airflow keeping things moving to help prevent PM and pests. After every feed, I’ll spray a mixture of water, a drop or two of dish soap, and some type of essential oil, around the base of the pots and tent basin as part of my pest management/protection. I have yet to have any type of pests, despite growing in an unfinished basement situation. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦❤️👊

Day 64 Flower (Day 106) Today is the first day of the 10th week of flower and I put on a powerful headlight and some magnifying glasses and closely inspected the right girl during the dark period, so the colors from the grow lights didn't fool me. Unfortunately, I found another couple of buds with bud rot. Soon I'll have to decide to harvest the plant now and cut my losses even though she isn't done, or I'll take my chances and let her go a while longer. I turned up my extraction fan, installed another circulation fan, and ordered a dehumidifier that will arrive tomorrow. I'm hoping that all those measures will bring down the humidity in the tent (unfortunately, I can't do anything about the temps) and prevent further rot. I will let her go another few days and see if any additional rot pops up. Fingers crossed that it won't. The left girl is just doing her thing, but it doesn't look like she will fatten her buds. I guess all that stress in the tiny tent was too much for her. No matter what the result of this grow will be, it certainly has been a great learning experience. Day 65 Flower (Day 107) Things are looking good for the right girl as I haven't found any more bud rot yet. Turning up the extraction fan certainly helped, not only with the humidity but also the temperature dropped. Not by a huge amount, but I'll take whatever improvement I can get. Today the dehumidifier arrived as well, and I put it in the tent right away. The humidity in the tent has now dropped from the high 60s to a much more suitable mid-40s, and I hope this will be enough together with additional air circulation to prevent any further rot. I looked a bit closer at the trichomes today and found that most have gone cloudy, and I finally found some amber ones (about damn time!). I'm aiming for around 20-25% amber in this harvest as I'm hoping for a relatively "heavy" smoke - one of those frying-pan-to-the-head kinds of smokes suitable for late nights. Day 66 Flower (Day 108) Still no signs of more bud rot. Fingers crossed All I did today was to mix up some more nematodes in water and then feed each girl with 3 liters of it at ph 6.4. I'm not sure it was necessary for my main tent as the fungus gnats seem to have died out by themselves. I put in a new yellow sticky trap yesterday, but it was still empty today, and many dead gnats were lying on the tent floor. I have no real idea why, as I don't use any pesticides, but maybe the gnats really don't like this new low humidity in the tent. In any case, I'm just happy that the little buggers are gone. Day 67 Flower (Day 109) The bud rot is still staying away, and I'm getting hopeful that it will stay gone. All I did today was to give the right girl 3 liters of pH 6.4 water. She was a bit thirsty as I had the irrigation turned off for a couple of days due to the nematodes I gave them yesterday. I've now turned on the system in each tent and will just cruise along until harvest. The girls are already way over time, but most trichomes are cloudy, and I've started to see some amber here and there. Although, not much of a fade so far. Day 68 Flower (Day 110) All I did today was snap a couple of pics. It's all just a waiting game at this point, and I hope it won't take that much longer. I'm ready to cut the girls down and have some time off before the next season is here. I plan to grow a couple of photo CBD girls in my main tent and maybe an auto in my smaller tent. We'll see. But yeah, first, the current grow must come to an end. It looks like the left girl is starting to get her fade on, so there's that at least. I didn't bother looking at the trichomes today, but I'll have another look in a day or two. Day 69 Flower (Day 111) I didn't do a single thing with the girls today except snapping a couple of pics. What I did, though, was to make a smoke test of the right girl. Let me explain: Earlier this week, I had to cut off four buds due to bud rot. Out of those four buds, I saved two small tops after trimming off all rot (as well as plenty more just to be safe). I left those tops on the tent floor, where they dried in only a few days, and yesterday I decided to try a smoke. Naturally, I can't say anything about taste as this weed is dried the worst way possible: fast, hot, and in the light. On top of that, it's not cured either. That being said, holy smokes, batman! This stuff kicks like a mule, which is why I didn't post this last night already. I was too stoned to care. Precisely the effect I was hoping for from this harvest: properly stoned and incredibly lazy. Boom! Day 70 Flower (Day 112) Today was the last day of week 10 of flower. Not much exciting is happening this late in flower, so it is primarily a waiting game at this point. I did remove the irrigation system from the left girl and will hand water her instead. That cheap system I had was too erratic, and I'm better off without it. Plus, I hope that she will be done soon-ish. She will never win a beauty contest due to her scraggly foxtail flowers, but I'm still happy to get something from her considering all the stress she went through. The right girl has been doing fine all week, and no other bud rot has been seen since I fixed her environment. I rechecked the trichomes today, and still hardly any amber in either girl. I'll let them go for another week, but then it is time for the chopping block. This grow already went a lot longer than planned initially, and it is time to bring it to a close soon.

First off, I hope all who visit this journal watch the timelapse. I'm very happy with how it turned out. The GSC is in the foreground. Comparing the beginning to the end shows just how dramatically my plant has grown in the past week. This plant now has a photo-period neighbor! I have changed the light schedule back to 18-6 to accommodate. Her chronicles will be in a separate journal. Towards the end of week two, I noticed the leaves were forming brown spots that I took as a sign of calcium deficiency. To treat this, I used a gallon of (hard) tap water, adding calcium to the reservoir. Luckily this seems to have done the trick! The spots have been absent on all subsequent leaf growth. Sometime in the middle of this week, I had to re balance the pH from ~7 to ~6. Perhaps this pH fluctuation came from the tap water transfusion. In an effort to raise the RH in the tent, I've repetitively spilled a small amount of water on the floor of the tent. Doing this keeps the RH around 45-50%. I've made some other small changes to my grow setup as shown in the pictures. Prior to this week, I'd thought my plant was hopelessly behind developmentally compared to other user's because I'd compare their week two plants to mine. Luckily, this week has seen some growth! It's crazy how fast they shoot off after their first three-fingered leaves form. The first "real" set of leaves to grow in (not three-fingered yet), seemed to take forever to grow into their full size while not much else (besides the roots) seemed to grow. This week's three-pointed leaves have practically fully formed already. Alongside them, are the beginnings of yet more leaves! I'm not certain what I will do this next week. I may start LSTing this plant, though I'm not sure when exactly I should do this. My original plan for my plants was to implement a screen of green using a trellis. I have sense realized this may not be the best approach while using a DWC, because water changed would be made much more difficult. Have any of you DWC growers experiment with this? Is it worthwhile? I will likely not replace the water for another week, though that's not set in stone. I appreciate any advise regarding the training techniques I mentioned, water switch outs and anything else that may be relevant to this grow. I will more than likely ask a few designated questions. Week 3 of flower, we are getting the stretch going properly, all looking good not to much to say as of right now, all looks as planned, shape is nice, they need a cleanup and they are ready to get fat !

Unfortunately this will be the last week because the threat of the red spider has returned and I cannot afford to use other chemical remedies to eliminate it so I anticipate the harvest by a week even if looking at the trichomes I am not so far from full maturity, Too bad . !

I had a great feeling of accomplishment as I harvested Daphne today. She was the first plant I have brought to life in many years and I was impressed with how the A.B.L.E. Grow Chamber worked. I will let her dry out for a week then I will update more.......It has been a week and I am more than happy with her smoke. VERY SMOOTH no harshness. Great after taste. Even though she was a small plant she still did extremely well in all other factors,: great color, no disease, good tie down technique made for 6 tops with one main one. I will use a single 5 gal bucket for my hydro next grow to see if I get better root growth than with the 6 plant reservoir I used for this operation. The grow chamber allowed me to control the humidity, air temp, pH and PPM with relative ease. I am very happy with my first grow operation with the ABLE Grow Chamber and hope my diary was informative and entertaining for everyone. Main thing i did wrong was my fuck up with keeping the LED too close when she was a seedling. I had it at 10". (it was my 1st time w LEDs.) Secondly, I never got good root growth but not sure why. my theory is that light was seeping through the white plastic cover on the Rainforest 66 reservoir. The best thing I did was controlling all the factors needed to grow with my A.B.L.E Grow Chamber Prototype. It made great use of limited space and saved electricity with its low power usage. Look forward to using it one more time before we make the first salable model. 0

It gets more beautiful from week to week 😍. The buds are getting thicker and thicker and already smell very good :-). The time has come when she no longer puts her strength into growth but into the flowers :-). It was poured 3 times this week with 1.2 l each time. When watering, there was 1 g of GHSC enhancer per liter of water as every 2 weeks 👍. Of course, as always, the tent was cleaned every day and the humidifier refilled. The complete filter system was also checked again. I filled the tank with fresh osmosis water for the coming week. I wish you all a nice week. No problems with growth, buds rapidly putting on weight and smell is getting stronger each day! Had to cut down on nutrients slightly as I think was feeding a little more than she could consume. Looks like she will be fully ripened around or on the 8th week. I liked the fact she started with the Durban poison, sweet smell and then as she progressed into flower, the loud, dank Kush slowly creeps up before finally taking over the the sweet smell of the Durban poison. Right now as I wright this, the Kush smell has started to mellow down and mix into a nice sweet nutty scent.

12/28 Week 7 Wow well looking around there are a lot of plants not sure how we will reconcile space issues with so many of them recovering but glad to have the problem. More than likely convert the veg tent but still damn In Flower Pussy Galore (FF7) is showing their classic stretch to the ceiling, working on it. Octopussy(LSD) and Plenty (GC) doing very well look great really In veg - big girl feed 24ml/g grow + occasional Kangaroots Solitaire (CC) and Chew Mee (FF2) moving towards size to flower couple more inches needed to compete with the big girls. FF7 is just a stretchy girl, this was expected and did what we could with gentle bend and secure within a cage to keep things manageable. Octopussy is a perfect lady, growing very well, no cage for her. Plenty required a little discipline so she got a cage. Three more plants headed this way within a week or two, FF2 FF6 Gold Leaf 12/30 Three FFT-7 clones have rooted very well. Transplanted into solo cups to begin the contest for the coveted two F7 slots in the grow. Other clones still no roots but its way early 12/31 Late night staff meeting on how to proceed. Clones - ... are on their own in the small tent, will use the small tent and seedling station to bring them along but will veg in the small. Just do the best we can here should be fine. No more clones will be taken that would only make the space issues worse. Flowering tent... I can take two more plants but they will have to be flipped small-ish (13") and grow more vertical than wide so no topping on Dink and Bambi which will flower in this tent. Medicinals... should have been flipped smaller I reckon, hard to get that right but they are large and healthy so keeping them smaller is easier than making them bigger. Not really higher than we wanted just not sure when the stretch will end and the stretch is always out and up. Pussy is the largest so far but Octo is catching up at least in height. Plenty doing great love how she is growing. Solitaire and Chew Mee outstanding looking plants. Wish I had space for their clones. Veg tent... Dink and Bambi moving toward departure in a few days Rest of them flower here, will flip on the smallish side no real choice have to assume they will get larger than planned. Just have to decide when, will put up the divider for the seedling area so they wont interfere with each other. Thats it doing well

Day 77 she is looking great and smelling great.She is not a big plant but I am sure she will be some very good smoke.Im going to let her grow for another week or so.

After flushing them and defoliation, they have come back looking much more bushy! I’m definitely happy with how they are coming along, though would like to see some more stretching and growth from the smaller plant. They had their first water in 9 days on the 11th

This strain is almost perfect, smell, look, resin production, bud structure, how little trouble she was in veg…etc…. even yielded really well for a smallish, bushy plant, the only thing letting it down was slightly lacking in flavour, flavour was nice don’t get it twisted but I had very high expectations because everything else was so good, and it fell short a little. I did cure some further for a few months and it was better. All in all I’d recommend this strain, another banger from Barney’s farm!

Trying to dial their veg in. Nutes may be too old or too high. Changed with 4ml CaMg per gallon of RO water. The rest is MaxiGrow. Ever since adding rockwool to the grow, I have struggled. I don't have the dry back timed right yet. I moved my fan to dry the top of the pot surface instead of in the root zone or at the canopy height. After about 10 days I dumped out the rockwool and have replaced with hydroton. My initial though on using rockwool was to give the roots more space during late life stages. My experience has been with hydroton and I notice that the roots eventually get bound because the hydroton is a durable material and will not crush or compact. Rockwool on the other hand will compress when squeezed so I was hoping that in the late life stages the roots would compress the rockwool and make more room in the pots. The issue was dryback. If I used chunks instead of croutons, this may help but the other reason I used them was because I had them here already. If anyone is trying to slow their dryback down, they should consider adding 10% volume of croutons to hold moisture in the medium a bit longer. Notice anything different? They are starting to adapt to their new media. Hopefully by next week I can get them to perk up. One plant has looked better than the other three. I have no idea what these plants need to “perk up”. Possibly a different grower. If a grape terpine wasn’t in the end results I would have culled these long ago. Hopefully they perk up when we get to flower. 3 look ,,,, meh, the fourth is descent. Trimmed all four back down to 12” tall. Flower next week.
