Hello. This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week 10 of flowering. Got 1 week of flushing done. I'll give the 3rd flushing tomorrow and and I should get another in before the harvest, starting on Aug 5, a Monday. In years past, it's taken about a week to cut it down, hang the branches for a few days and then put the buds into curing bags. Getting yellow leaves because of the flushing and there is another week to go so there will be more yellow leaves. That's Ok. I think if you mistreat them a bit, you gets more THC at harvest. The 3 plants I have inside were wilted when I checked on them. With the heat they went through their water faster since the last watering. Now they have got lots of yellow leaves, especially Plant #8b. That twin has been a little strange since the start. Oh well?!? The inside plants are a week behind the ones in the greenhouse and they will be harvested after I've finished in the greenhouse. Showed some of my flowering peyote. They are self pollenating and the oldest is about 20 years old. Finished book 5 of Weirdo. Tangerine Band is growing great. I switched her light times yesterday to flowering times. She got a little defoliation today to help with stretching light. Everything is looking good. Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of flowering. Although the seed description said 10 to 11 weeks, I going to cut these girls down at 10 weeks. I need the room to grow and flower some Mac and Crack that's already growing.. Getting close to harvest I'll start flushing, But I'll give them 1 more feeding and then nothing but water till the end. I get much better taste and the buds smoke better if I flush and get the chemicals out of the soil before harvest. Well, that's the end of the Freak Bros. book # 10... I think there are 3 or 4 more books left in that series. I'll show them in future diaries. My other diaries have the old underground comic book, Weirdo by Robert Crumb if you want to check them out to see. The buds are really getting solid now and some are getting heavy and heading for the floor. Good times... Getting some great smells now. Musk is the most common. But some, smell of Citrus with Musk under tones. The smell is overpowering my carbon filter. I can smell these plants out by the street if the wind is blowing that way. Pure Lemon Skunk smell by the street. Nice. Getting near the end of their lives now and there are more yellow leaves as the plants pull what they need from the big fan leaves before turning the leaves brown. Some plants have sticky resin and some have slippery resin. OK. Have Fun. Chuck.

Flowering day 37 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) The buds have developed incredibly nicely this week. The smell is getting more and more extreme :-) . The whole plant itself looks perfect 👍. The growth has slowly stopped as the full energy goes into the production of the buds. This week it was watered 3 times with 1.2 l each (nutrients see table above) They were individually inspected and checked for their health. Osmosis water for the coming week was refilled in a 100 l tank 👍. Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Overall a great strain too grow as grows with ease and seemingly without issues even with minimal care. With care she can produce hefty buds, as kept mine small my flowers reflect but still produced great smelling powerfully buds 🌱 Cycle finished in time essentially with ease and I'd be happy too recomend this strain from fastbuds. I will update with more images and videos upon timing complete and give dry weight ect, these girls wont bring much but smell absolute treat. Atm I have tried 1 small nug but still not ready not long untill can trim up, great oils and taste just need a little cure up once finished. Tried uploading longer videos but again says error 👎 have now added few extra videos

Day Zero: Seeds from FASTBUDS. Cotton pads washed with purchased water, moistened with the same water. I immersed two seeds in each cotton pad. In an ordinary plastic bag, put the discs and inflated with air. The first day: 24 hours passed, the seeds showed white roots, left in the bag in its original state for another day.

We took a closely look at our 18 plants, 18 days before the end (harvest) of the 66 days experiment... * Extreme defoliation for maximum lighting. * Low humidity (45-50%). * 24/24 lights all the 7 weeks from seedlings.

Missed a few weeks due to laziness. Been quiet a bit of slow growth, and yet to see any colour in the the leafs yet. But still plodding along. Anyone grew this strain before??

So the soil plants have reached the flushing stage. Hit the with the last dose of kleanse two days ago and then a big bath of straight ph water this evening. Will flush them for about another week. The plan is to cut the four soil plants down next weekend. The trichromes are all cloudy and starting to get some Amber’s. The buds especially the tops are all dense and sticky. All four plants even tho being same strain have very unique characteristics. But all have the same sticky gas smell. The frost production is pretty amazing with the cyco I was a little nervous about the bud density at first but they really packed weight in the last few weeks. The hydro plant is about a week behind but man is it big AF! It’s got as much bud as two of the soil plants easily! The roots have been kinda out of control but it will be fine with how late it is. The hydro buds already have more density I. The buds compared to where the soil plants were at this stage but so that is exciting. I have a good feeding of the flowering nutes in the res now. Starting to get some nice purple colours on #4 buds and Ozz leaves! Not super visible on the video but looking really good. Also had an unpleasant surprise the other morning, due to wind gusts the support went out the pot and #4 straight bent to 90 degrees. Looks like it happened around 3/4am and I only saw it around 9am, so she got pretty roughened up but no actual damage to report. Same for Dorel, a brush fell on a lower branch but didn’t break anything. The learning here as it is the second time it happens, both time just before I water them: I suspect drier medium is less efficient in holding the plant when there is a lot of wind. Well well! In just 2 days she went from little purple to actually the whole plant changing color. Curious to see where it’ll go!

Day 64 she’s so heavy that I have to have her on hangers. She didn’t get watered yesterday so she is throwing a hissy fit but she’s already perked back up. I’m excited to have her get chopped down and get her jarred up.
