Week 11, & the End of 4 weeks of flowering (30 Days of 12/12) Welcome back to our regular scheduled programming.... Like I mentioned we are officially 30 days into our 12/12 lighting cycle. Now taking into consideration that this is one of the first runs of this particular strain the flower period is partially undetermined, I will be guessing based on Lineage of the parents, & following her closely towards the end to ensure my desired trichome ripeness. Katsu's HotCake's run's Approximately 8-9 Weeks & The Grape Ape run's slightly quicker at 7-8 Weeks You can certainly tell the difference between all 5 plants, I'm very glad I took cuts of everything ! as plants 2 & 3 are certainly the keepers of the bunch.. plant 2 showing some very cool fall colours already (emerson effect hitting strong asf) She is already starting to purple up & smells Very Sweet. My guess is this pheno leans more to the Grape Ape side. As far as plant 3 is concerned I can smell heavy Kush aromas emulating off her already, & based on her flowering structure I believe this pheno leans more Katsu Bubba. but we'll have to wait and see. A Minor amount of leaf plucking this week should be noted.. It will probably be the last time I mess with them, its time to start swelling up. It is my opinion that most of the stretch has been completed & i'm now looking at the final colas minus the couple weeks of filling out of course. As this is the end of four weeks of flower(12/12) Their food will be increased during the next feeding, thus far i've been impressed with the ease of this strain.. I wasn't sure what to expect to be honest but I will say this I was weary of over-feeding but all of them seem to enjoy heavy feedings. Buds getting dense now, absolutely covered in thc, smells very orangey. Really happy with how it’s going so far.

Day 71, The fade is progressing nicely. I'm looking at tricome development about every other day. So far so good. I can't wait to try some of this delicious smelling crop. Lots of candy and tropical with a little fuel.

Tale of two plant. Plant 1 has been the perfect plant so far during flower no really issue and is growing frosty. She look like she will be ready in a week or so Plant 2 is finally coming into shape and starting to get frosty, still lagging behind plant 1 in bud form and frostiness hopefully by harvest it will catch up about 2-4 weeks left

01.07.25 Day 77 On 2 phenos the buds are dense. I think the others are becoming dense. I just need to wait for them to catch up. The smell is so amazing (sweet with citrus) and the buds are sticky. Trichomes look cloudy. Fresh reservoir change out today. I will be flushing after this week. Or if trichomes say other wise. This will be my 1st time flushing

Sorry I didn't update yesterday. Been bending limbs down to keep a consistent height. Using LST and HST this time. Soon I'll be identifying which branches from which plants will make the final cut. I've been very rough on these plants and they all continue to thrive. But I've noticed a clear distinction between some that are fast growing and some that are slow growing, under the exact same care. Since this is a relatively new breed I'll be interested in how they differ at harvest. I'm noticing most of my challenge now is to get the branches all at a consistent height for the switch at the ScrOG net. The challenge is not among individual branches, but among slower and faster growing plants. This would be much easier if I had a way to raise or lower whole plants in the grow. Not likely in a hydro setup, water seeking its level and all.

Day 83 she’s looking beautiful and bulking so fast. The time is coming soon. I can’t wait. She is looking fabulous. Just keeps chugging along. She will begin the ice flushing process soon and she’s so damn heavy she’s being held up.

I tried the strain now several times. The yield is abysmal with 18g of that plant, but the buds have an amazing quality. Quality over quantity but some grams more would be nice. I still have 4 seeds and will 100% grow it again in the far future.

Ran into a a light stress issue but all is under control now

Daaaamn I didn’t know Gorilla Melon had a pink/purple pistol pheno, that’s beautiful. It was a freebie too that’s wild! Will try to preserve this plant after harvest, so far it’s beautiful!

Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. Hallo 👋👋👋 ein weiterer vergangener grow meinerseit, den ich nun Stück für Stück hochladen werde. Dies ist auch mein erster Balkongrow. Es handelt sich hierbei um eine photoperiodische Blue Sunset Sherbet von Barney’s Farm und einer Royal Jack automatic von Royalqueenseeds. Beide sind direkt in einem 8l Topf auf dem Balkon gestartet und wurden mit florgsnics ausreichend ausgestattet. Die Jack hat sich absolut prächtig entwickelt, die Sherbet durfte einige wilde Entscheidungen meinerseits miterleben. Wünsche viel Freude beim Lesen :)

Yield won’t be amazing but i’m happy with it

my dry and cure style is this: 4 days of hanging upside down to get water activity lower to around 0.6 in 50% humidity and 26 C temp (i know its a little high but we are in a hot summer right now and i cant get it lower even with air conditioner) and then after 4 days of drying i remove leaves and stalks, trim buds and move them to jar for the rest of their life :D . and in the first 4 days of curing i open the jar door and let hem get some fresh air in the jar for about 5 minutes and close the jar door again, after 4 days of curing like that buds are smokable but they will get better as they getting cured about 1 month. buds are one of the hardest as fucking rocks type of buds! very dense , compact , sticky , smelly , amazing at every aspect growing stage was 56 days and flowering stage was 75 days total (harvested tops at day 64th) the total weight of dry buds was : (plant #1 & #3 top buds 56 G + lower buds 22 G ) 78 G + (plant #2 top buds 47 G + lower buds 18 G ) 55 G + (plant #4 top buds 120 G + lower buds 67 G ) 187 G = 367 G

Ho tagliato proprio oggi questa magnifica Runtz RQS che mi ha dato bellissime gemme dall odore tropicale e dalle cime belle piene di resina che non vedo L ora di assaporare con il mio nuovo Vaporizzatore appena riparato ehehe 👨‍🍼 Sono rimasto sorpreso dalla linea di fertilizzanti organici RQS per la loro facilità di impiego che non mi hanno dato nessun problema durante il ciclo di crescita… Spero di poter usare una lampada più potente per il ciclo invernale perché ho da mettere diverse piante questa volta è voglio pompare con 450/600W per sfruttare lo spazio a disposizione 🧞‍♂️🤳🏻🎄
