🌿 Week 1 – Vegetative Stage Strain: Permanent Marker (Zamnesia Seeds) Grower’s Journal: A New Chapter Begins ⸻ Genetics: The Soul of Permanent Marker Though now represented by Zamnesia Seeds, Permanent Marker has deep roots in modern cannabis history. Originally bred by Doja Pak, Seed Junky Genetics, and Ronnie from DEO Farms, this cultivar quickly rose to fame in the underground and elite circles of West Coast connoisseur growers. Permanent Marker is a hybrid masterpiece that blends three powerhouse strains: 🌸 Biscotti x Jealousy x Sherb Bx This creates a potent, flavorful, and visually stunning phenotype, often recognized by its dark, almost ink-like colors, heavy trichome coverage, and loud terpene profile reminiscent of sharp fruit, fuel, and sweet candy funk. It’s more than a strain, it’s a cultural marker of a new era in cannabis breeding. This is the lineage we’re now embracing, nurturing from seed, and inviting everyone to witness. A true tribute to craft genetics, now made accessible by Zamnesia. ⸻ 🌱 Seedling Development & Progress All three seeds germinated beautifully and emerged from the soil full of life. By the end of Week 1, they are on their way to developing the third pair of leaves, showing strong symmetry, healthy green tones, and no visible signs of stress. 💪 We’re aiming to keep two plants, selecting the best expressions based on vigor, structure, and early leaf pattern. ⸻ 🌞 Environment & Spectrum Our grow room is set to promote steady, gentle growth during this early veg stage: • Temperature: 24–26°C (75–79°F) during the day, slight drop at night • Humidity: Around 65% RH, ideal for early vegetative growth • Lighting: Full-spectrum LED grow light, rich in blue light (around 450nm) to encourage tight internodal spacing and strong vegetative structure • Light Schedule: 18/6 (18 hours on / 6 hours off) We’re using a soft spectrum to ease them into the vegetative phase—no rush, just steady growth and healthy development. ⸻ 🌱 Nutrition We’re taking a minimalist and mindful approach to early nutrition: • Watered with a light mix of Aptus Start Booster to encourage root expansion • No heavy feeding—just clean water pH’d to around 6.0–6.2 • Soil still contains enough organic matter to support Week 1 without stress A healthy start is not about pushing—it’s about balance. ⸻ 🌟 Expectations & Vision Permanent Marker is not just another strain, it’s a symbol of modern cannabis excellence. We expect heavy resin production, complex flavor layers, and dense, purple-tinged buds later on. But for now, our focus is on building a strong foundation. Every leaf grown today is part of the bud we will harvest tomorrow. ⸻ 🙏 Gratitude Before we end this week’s report, we want to send a warm thank you to: • The sponsors who believe in this journey • The community—growers, smokers, breeders, dreamers • The haters who help us grow thicker skin and stronger roots • And above all: the plant, for giving us the gift of life, medicine, and connection This journey is special because we’re doing it together—in the open, with love and honesty. From the quiet hum of LEDs to the soil beneath our fingertips, we thank you for being part of this story. ⸻ our YouTube series—coming soon—where we’ll go in-depth on every strain, every week, every step of the way. 🗓️ Week 17: 3/23 - 3/29 📆 Week 7 of 12/12 🌄 The plant is starting to go into senescence and presenting some beautiful colors as she begins to fade. 💡 Received new lighting courtesy of Growers Choice. They sent me the ROI-E420 with the Master Controller. First impression is amazing. Looks and feels like very high quality build. The spectrum seems more blue than the 3000k lm301H Kingbrite bars I have been using. The bars are thinner and packed with a lot of diodes, so they do run a little hotter than the KB at full power. I adjusted and now running them at 90%. For now the Kingbrite bars are being used as side lighting dimmed to about 30-35% depending on Grow room temps.

The 6 plants came out of the ground and look good 😎 In my 2 previous growths, I had better result with 24h of light on the first week compared to 18h, so I tried this schedule again and it seems to work. The plants are stretching as usual, maybe due to my soil being too rich in nitrogen. I added a wet towel to increase the humidity. 2 out of 3 of the extra seeds developped nicely. Great seeds, especially after one year in the fridge👍 Plants heights at the end of the week : ------------------------------------------- Gorilla Cookies 1 : 10.5cm Gorilla Cookies 2 : 11.5cm Purple Lemonade 1 : 8.5cm Purple Lemonade 2 : 10cm Wedding Cheesecake 1 : 8.5cm Wedding Cheesecake 2 : 9.5cm
