Flowered during winter and i payed the price

Hey friends, end of week 13 from seed. A big incident happened this week, I had 3 clones growing in the same tent. I had placed them on some cardboard boxes so they could be closer to the light. Woke up one morning and saw all 3 plants on the floor, pots fell on plant #1 and destroyed 2 stems on the bottom, they had some small buds formed already. I chopped the 2 stems and hanged them up for drying, I left all the leaves on, did no trimming. After 3 days, buds were dry, smelled like plant and bud combined, not too pleasant. I couldn't resist to try it out, so I crushed some on my vape. It kicked in as a sativa, eyes got weak, head high, it slowly starts to give you a appetite and after 40 mins, you want to sleep, overall it felt like a sativa - Hybrid. The taste at the beginning was not very pleasant I guess because these buds were not ready for harvest yet and I did not flush them. Will need to do more research on harvesting / drying and curing. 1- how dry to should the buds be before curing? 2- is it better to trim leaves before or after drying for a better taste? Noticed some amber on trichomes Will begin to flush in week 14 Smell is stronger Leaves are slowly fading to a different color Will keep you guys posted!

Things are coming along great, iv done a few autos before but never a bunch like this. So far just ph'd water and hi brix mollasses to feed the microbes in the soil. I also do a little dash of the npk grow just to make sure they have what they need :D (video is 5 days after pics)

She doubled in size this week. For some reason I thought the triploid growth stopped but It didn't. Was suprized how well she did this week being 100f ouside for several days. And she didn't need to be water any more than normal. Got one watering with compost tea ight before hot weather then got cal-mag water two mornings later.

week 5 - 1/2-1/9 1/4 heavy defoliation

6/29 - 4 days after I gave everyone the compost tea, the Wonder Woman ladies have sprung back to life! The compost tea was a literal life saver. Just a few days later and their leaves have lost the yellow tinting between the veins of the leaves and her leaves are more smooth. 6/30 - Top dressed all with Uprising Grow and Uprising Foundation 7/1 - Today I did a little selective defoliation on the Wonder Woman ladies. They are looking stronger and stronger each day. 7/2 - Today was feeding day. Gave them a dose of their regular nutrients. They are very happy! 7/3 - Added some red wigglers today! I ordered some Red Wigglers from Uncle Jim's Worm Farm and they arrived today. I added about 10 to each pot then moistened the soil a bit with just RO water pH to 6.6. I can't wait to watch them do their thing!

Started with LST and did extreme defoliation. Plants were pretty healthy so they will recover soon.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Today i decided to heavily defoliate the plants. I also found a old feeding schedule from Green House with PH values, and it recommends that i should give an PH of 5.7 on coco. I thought PH 6 was good, but i was wrong, maybe this in combination with the plants being too wet, is the reason for the weird growing leaves, and the problems they show. I cleaned the reservoir and made sure there is no old water in the lines. I made a full strength 10L feed, and added it to the reservoir. I turned the reservoir on for around 3 mins, just to the point that the AutoPot trays are full of water and the valves are shutting them off, then i turn the reservoir off. Wk 5 was Steady Away, Explosive growth starting, Transplanted one from aero to coco and added Began the Scrog As you may have noticed, I Expanded the garden to give the coco girls some more room. The Dawg in the aero wasn't taking well at all, she hadn't really had a good innings from the beginning. I transplanted her into the coco and Fed her very week nutes..

Everything as usual. Molasses, earthworm juice at this days. Cut some inmature branches. No diseases, the buds are going bigger and bigger :) I think I'll harvest my ladies on ca. 20th August, so in less than 1 month!
