Biochar generally offers a much higher CEC than coco coir, though specific values vary greatly; while coco coir might sit around 40-60 cmol/kg, biochar can range from tens to over 200 cmol/kg, with sources like Acacia wood biochar or even coconut shell biochar often surpassing coco's capacity due to its porous structure, creating significantly more cation-binding sites for nutrients, making it superior for nutrient retention. Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. It's a secret. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what I give mine. Can even add N in its NH4+ form

Hey Cannafam, Well its been a mixed week weather wise here in the UK, weve had quite allot of rain and a storm also, but its an improving picture and including today my gals had 3 days of Sun. At the beginning of the week she dried out enough for me to get a feed into her and her colour is looking a bit better, although shes still very pale from overwatering. Growth has been good this week, shes looking happier and making a comeback 😊 Although she was nearly stripped theres now a good amount of new leaves and shes about to go onto flower. Decided I was going to do this 100% organic down to the Ph up and down is Nectar of the God's, I've added in some living soil which I haven't used in over a year to aide the plant even more organically. Plant showed some stress from transplant so I gave it a foliar feed after a day or so and its back to life, I felt the plant was moving extremely fast while still not competing a week of veg so I moved it early to not slow down its growth. Looking forward to the next 5 weeks of veg.

She is very frosty and almost ready for harvest.

Last week, my pound cake auto plant totally exploded with growth! It's insane how much it's changed. I swear it grew several inches overnight. The leaves are this gorgeous shade of green, and the whole thing looks super healthy and happy. I'm seriously so proud of my little plant baby.
