Exciting news: we’ve added a new member to our grow tent – a praying mantis! 🦗 Her species is Timor shield mantis, and she still needs a name. We decided to get her to help with pest control naturally. Praying mantises are excellent predators and can help keep unwanted insects away from our plants. Feel free to suggest a name for her! Any tips or fun facts about keeping a mantis in the grow tent are also welcome! Day 54 (First Grow): Hey everyone! Big update today: we’ve switched the timer to a 12/12 light cycle to initiate the flowering phase! 🌸 Our plants have developed a nearly complete and dense canopy, and we believe they’re ready to start blooming. This change should encourage them to shift their energy towards producing buds. For those following along, here’s a quick recap: We've implemented a SCROG net to manage the canopy and ensure even light distribution. We've introduced a Timor shield mantis for natural pest control. The plants have responded well to all adjustments and are looking healthy. Day 15: Stretching way faster than anticipated.. Gonna have to tweak the hangers soon because I'm almost at their limit to raise the lamps anymore. Should have lollipopped/defoliated more in the last training session, hope I'll have the courage to go a bit further the next one in about 3-5days which is going to be the last before harvesting. Buds are finally starting to form and dang it looks like a decent haul IF all goes well. No closeup shots will be presented before the frost starts to kick in. I'm cutting down the Bio-Grow gradually and raising the Bio-Bloom at the same time. Thinking about dropping the Bio-Grow entirely at around week 4 of flowering and starting to blast the girls with some decent amount of PK instead. Day 16: Watered each plant with 2l of nutrient solution and upped the dosage of Bio-Bloom to 3ml/l because of 2 strains were showing some P deficiency on the lower leaves (PC/SS) Day 18: Did the biggest and most gruesome lollipopping/defoliation session I've ever dared to. Promised myself this would be the last but it does seem like I still have to grow some balls to trim them bitches once more in a week or so IF they respond well to this torture. Slight P deficiency still on the Peyote Criticals and Sunset Sherbets so I'm going to full send it the next time watering and go straight for the 4ml/l on Bio-Bloom. Next week of flowering I'm going to bring the big guns in and start giving them some Atami Bloombastic to make them buds really swell up.. or die trying! Day 20: Watered each plant with 2l of nutrient solution and this time I went for the full 4ml/l of Bio-Bloom. Only one of the Peyote Criticals was still showing an ever so slight lack of phosphorous so we'll see how they like the full dosage. The bigger GSC had two pretty pale green older fan leaves (not yellowing but still..) so she received 3ml/l of Bio-Grow instead of 2ml/l to keep her going for about 2 more weeks before I can tolerate a little lack of N and let the leaves fall out on their own. Usually I stop giving grow nutes at around halfway of blooming. Don't know if it's just psychosomatic but I do feel abundant nitrogen in late bloom will make the buds taste a bit harsher and give a little headache no matter how good you flush if you keep going on the "full schedule" till the end. All the buds have a nice little sugar coating forming up and the smell in the tent is becoming nice and fruity. Not sure yet which one of them will be the cream of the crop but everyone looks very promising. OG Kush went through a thorough macro close up session and no visible male flowers are forming anywhere so I might just be able to keep her in the cabin but I'm still prepared to chop her off IF she goes full on Bangkok ladyboy on me. If all goes well this might very well turn out to be my best harvest with this setup so far so I do hope I won't fuck up anything now.

Day 71: I'm afraid she is foxtailing, maybe due to the high temperatures of the last few days, was impossible managing to maintain the temperatures stables in growing environment. I'm going to water her more often to reduce stress. Day 72: watered with PHD water Day 74: she looks like she is still in full flowering, watered with PHD water. Day 75: she is foxtailing, today I saw more mature pistils than white. Checked the trichomes, looks like she is almost ready. Day 77: watered with PHD water

The plants continue to kick ass. New French Macaron and Chem Brulee leaves are all 9-fingered now. Crazy happy plants. Sprayed with light BT spray (trying to avoid any caterpillar issues this year as much as possible) early in the week. Sprayed with light Neem Oil / Castile Soap (no more dawn, no more issues!) late in the week. Today, June 9, I also defoliated a bit. Keep in mind that I don't want to do much this year as far as topping and training, so I've done one simple top on all of the plants, and essentially have created 4 main colas for each plant. I only did this to create some airflow under the plant. I don't plan on doing a lot of this stuff. Gonna let the sunshine do her thing. Even though these girls have some hot-ass super soil in there, I'm still going to be doing some top-dressing. Mixed this up and slathered it on there on Saturday, June 12. ------

This week completes the first week of flower for unknown. Stretched a little bit and I assume there will be more so, I’m continuing to weave her through the net for middle and final stretch. This also starts a new 3 week nute feed (thanks to dr earth 👏👏) so honestly I’m just continuing to lower humidity and slow rolling it. The wwa however is coming along quite well I might say. The main issue if any at all has been low ph and I’ve been watering with higher ph to correct that but, she’s been stretching and doing her own thing. Really wish I would’ve waited to see her full potential under better lighting and time but, this is a first grow (also excuse 😏) and I’m honestly more excited to get the first grow under the belt, rather than maximum yield (though max would be nice 😎) hopefully next time… Thanks for stopping by this week ✌️.

Day 70 - She grew 4cm this week. Her flowers are not as developed as any of her tent mates, looks like she's going to take her time flowering. That's ok. I'm happy to wait 😀

Trichromes are starting to be produced and buds are starting to form and get sticky, each plant is developing a nice smell but the strawberry is out performing the rest by a mile definitely a vigorous strain that just wants to go go go! Inter node spacing is crazy and looks like the girls are setting up to make some fat buds hopefully

Plant did ok, not the best result and far below my expectations for it. I found that growing them in pots with other plant is a no go from now on for autos. they just don't grow all that well when their root space is being shared, all my autos from a few breeders did poorly when I grew them like this. however the ones I kept in their own pot did much better, the Ganja farmer brand is good, just wish they had some CBD/CBG strains in their catalogue. Chug chug chug! I think I have about a week or two left for most of them and probably like 4 of these will need an extra week or so aha. Frosting up beautifully; the camera does no justice! But I believe I should start reducing my feed or either flush with molasses and kelp like I’ve grown fond of doing come close to harvest time. Again the smells emanating from this tent is so beautiful, candy sweet orangey smells 🌬️🌬️🌬️

9/11 Week 22 Looking better seem to have closed the Phos hole in my nuets, in the future pots will be amended with it from the start. 9/13 Weather degrading (heh relative term) plan to harvest Poly on next spat of "good" weather, Zona couple of weeks tops. Poly water only but there is plenty of nuets in that pot. 9/14 No decent sun today at all, high humidity forecast is saying it just gets worse from here (heh like those guys know) but if true I need to harvest poly ahead of it which may mean tomorrow. Decide then see if forecasts change. Next year things will be different damit 9/15 Day 146 of the grow and Poly's last day Weather is entirely the reason for taking her a bit early, wanted to prep her a bit more but thats life in the outdoors. She has a beautiful day for her last, she was never any trouble and grew well, I am glad to have grown her, she is a good girl. Flowering time.

Just finished week 6 and I have to say she is looking so healthy and started to fill out lovely now 😀 gave her a couple of leaves trim as they was starting to overgrown the leaves below and wanted to give the plant much more light to help her grow to her potential. My earlier worry about being stunted with early progress issues has well and truly disappeared as you just continues to grow from strength to strength! Happy days happy growing !
