This week we switched both the bloom and veg lights on and that increased the heat in the tent drastically. The increase in light seems to be beneficial as they are growing a bunch daily. Started nutrients on Wednesday Apr 14

Today was the last day of 18/6 hours light schedule!! I just changed the timer to 12/12 I increased the Bilberry lamp from 60 to 70% Power. During this week I really had to increase the amount of both water and nutrients, Just like the breeder said, she starts to eat a LOT already in the vegetative stage so I fed her a lot and even thought I did I noticed small signs of deficiencies on the lower leaves, Mid week I re potted Her to a 25L container and cut out some of the fan leaves just as the breeder recommended. The reason I follow the recommendations is I have grow Sherbinskis line before and the end effect is so much better. Also starting to keep a big temp difference between night and day. As you can see She is growing very fast.

Day 8 Flower Hi growers, the end of week one has arrived. The plants seem to be happy. They’re starting to shoot up, new growth has that light green color, old growth is still dark green. I fed with Remo transition feed and and added green planet rezin. I think I may have been under watering as I realized there’s way more than 20% perlite…maybe closer to 45%. I’m going to start watering every 2 days, more coco style rather than soil with a dry back like I normally do. I think that could be the reason for the slower growth in veg regardless of light height and intensity with optimum environment and vpd. I was going to weave the new growth into the open squares, but historically it has caused those tops to be shorter at the end. So if they grow tall, I’ll add another level of trellis net and fill the squares of the upper net. Until then I’m just tucking the leaves on this very leafy plant. Heavy Defo will be on day 14. She has got a stank to her already. When watered or manipulated she has this skunky sour smell that I’m already intrigued by. Still have 2 months and 1 month of cure to wait ugh…..patience 👎🏻 I am having a bit of difficulty dialing in the Vipar Spectra XS2000. It seems very powerful for my setup especially in veg, I’ll try 50% in veg next time. You can see how stacked the buds are in the pics. I’ve raised it up 6” from the top of the tent to hopefully get some stretch. It’s heat output is good at keeping my tent at 77-81 at 100%. I am very interested to see how it grows the FastBuds autos once the SLH is done. That tent will have the XS2000, FastBuds Autos grown with Gaia Green Organics. On day 38, we topped the top shoots of the chimera again because she is getting way to gig already. Then, after 40 days in the vegetation phase, we sent them into flowering. From now on 12/12h Day-nightcycle We cut some Clones at day 47 because we had to wait until our clonex arrives.

Here’s how we’re addressing it: Proactive Monitoring: Keeping a close eye on temperature and RH trends to ensure they remain within optimal ranges. Gradual Adjustments: Slowly warming the environment with indirect heat sources if necessary, without shocking the plants. Remember, plants are incredibly resilient—and this slight delay will only make the Croco girls’ eventual growth even more rewarding. Feeding Updates: All in One Pellets & Organic Boost 🌾 This week marked a significant milestone: I introduced Aptus Holland’s All in One Pellets to the soil mix. Here’s how it went down: Preparation: Added a generous dose of the pellets to each pot. Soil Enrichment: Topped the pots with Pro Mix soil, bringing the total soil volume to 1 liter per plant. Feeding Transition: While I did one last watering with All in One Liquid, I’ll now rely primarily on: Regulator (0.15ml/L): To support stress resistance and strengthen cell walls. CalMag Boost (0.25ml/L): For calcium and magnesium supplementation, essential for strong stems and vibrant growth. Start Booster (0.25ml/L): To continue promoting robust root development. I’ll decide based on how the girls progress over the next week or two. Either way, I’m excited to unlock their potential. Lots of bud development, starting to stack up a bit. Thinking I will see a lot more bud growth in the coming weeks. The older PT is finishing up this week and starts our harvest for the next few weeks. I’ll be checking seeds on the buds I pollinated and trichomes on the others. There are a few random seeds isn’t he tent but so far it appears that the majority of the bud is seedless. I think I was able to minimize the pollen like I wanted to. Male plant was chopped at the beginning of this week after only a few pods opened. I only needed a few to get enough seeds to grow again in the future.

2nd time growing this strain. Was the best of the bunch last harvest under a cheap 300W LED drawing ~100W from the wall yet still gave me over 4oz Hoping under this brand new Spider Farmer SF-4000 I'll get much more. Just fed plain water in week 1.

This week I added a new controller to handle up to 8 functions. I installed a new heater, my old humidifier and some LED strips to the controller. Targeting a VPD at 1.0 day and night. Trying to keep the nutrient ppm under 900 and ph at 6.0 in the reservoirs. Ordered a second ph pen because I don’t trust my readings. Will be here by Thursday. Friday: Checked the ppm in the reservoirs and it’s at 1,000. Added more RO water with extra nitrogen to bring the ppm level down to 925. Saturday: I installed an updated AC Infinity controller 69 Pro Plus (controls 8 pieces of equipment) which allowed me to add a humidifier, corner LEDs and a heater to the controller. Overall I’m extremely impressed with this AC Infinity equipment. My VPD is within the range I want to achieve (.8-1.1). I programmed it to maintain 78 degrees and 67% humidity during the day, 73 degrees and 63% humidity at night. Charts posted also show the impact of an open tent compared to the closed environment. The heater is constantly pushing fresh air into the tent, so I don’t need to cycle the exhaust fan often. Rewired the tent again and moved the controller later that night. I mounted the controller on the wall. Added Mars Hydro UV/IR lighting to fill out all 8 slots on the controller. Sunday: I checked the ph in the reservoirs (6.8….i had filled it with 6.0 ph) and the ppm (1200 ppm…I had filled it with 900). So evaporation and possibly a mismeasurement of ph. I topped ff reservoirs with slightly stronger nutes and adjusted ph to 5.8 in the reservoirs. Poor magnesium absorption could be driving some leaf yellowing. Effective tomorrow, I’m switching over to Heads Formula which consistently feeds GH Flora series nutes at Micro (6ml/g), Bloom (9ml/g) and cal mag (3ml/g). Turned on the UV/IR lights for 3 minutes every 8 hours. I’m easing the plants up to 5 minutes every 6 hours which will provide the recommended 20 minutes of IR per day. This will help the plants stretch a little more. Monday: checked ph and ppm in reservoirs. 6.1ph and 880ppm. VPD remains stable except when I open the tent. Tuesday: checked ph (6.4) and ppm (880) in reservoirs. Added .5ml of ph down to two reservoirs. Still see slight yellowing between the veins but it’s not getting worse (might be improving). Adjusting ph down to 6.0 target might have solved this. The plants grew by 1-2” last night…..is the infrared light working already? Decided to mix up fresh nutes for the reservoirs following Heads formula. 6ml Micro and 9ml Bloom per gallon of RO water. Added 5 ml of CalMag too. Ending ppm was 1080 which is too high, so I diluted down to 880 with RO water. 6.0 ph. Wednesday: plants grew another .75 inches last night. I topped above the 5th node. Thursday: added RO water with heavy cal mag to reservoirs to increase amount of CalMag available.

Week 6 begins with a 3 liter feeding and removal of a few dead leaves. Buds are developing nicely and frost is present, woo hoo!! Thanks for stopping by.
