This is my very first grow. I am attempting two plants (both strains from Nirvana and feminized seeds). (Left) Northern Light: Typically an Indica, or Indica dominant strain. (Right) Girl Scout Cookies: According to Nirvana, it's a hybrid. Grow medium: Fox Farms Ocean Forest Nutrients: Fox Farms Trio Air Filter/Fan: Both are VIVOSUN 6in with adjustable speed on the fan. No complaints here. Fan is audible from upstairs, but it has more to do with the fact that's it's resting on a surface outside the tent, which is vibrating, and creating more noise. I plan to move the fan inside the tent and hang it. Lights: 1 VIPERSPECTRA 600W (equivalent). I decided to go the LED route after reading due to it's lower power consumption, ease of setting up, and I'm going to get shit for this...I thought the purple/pink lights looked dope. After researching a ton of LED lights and reading reviews, I settled on the VIPERSPECTRA model. Lately, I've been hearing about Quantum Boards and COB setups...and I gotta admit, it's very enticing to just build one custom for my setup, and just return the VIPERSPECTRA. I might do this down the road, but for my first grow, I wanted to keep things more simple until I get a few under my belt so I have less to worry about. There is a heater outside the tent due to my tent being in the basement, which is kinda cold. I walled off the area the tent is in, which definitely helps with the temperature. It's a nice 71 degrees Fahrenheit inside the tent with a relative humidity of 50%. The rH is normally around 25-30%, hence the humidifier. The humidifier itself kind of sucks. I have to run it almost full steam to keep the humidity up during vegetation, and the tank has to be filled daily. There will be low-stress training, multiple toppings (probably twice), and grown in a scrog. I plant to grow in vegetation until the scrog is full, and then flip to a 12/12 light schedule to induce flowering. Scorg is (poorly) homemade. I originally constructed it with legs, and then took them off and decided to add ropes, pulleys, and carabiners. It's turning out to be quite the clusterfuck at the top of my tent as you can see in the pictures. I am honestly probably going to let the plants grow a bit to see how high they're going to grow, and then reattach the legs to the scrog and keep it at that height for the duration of the grow. Since it's two plants, I don't think plant accessibility is going to be an issue. I also might just scrap this scrog all-together and build a new one out of PVC piping and zip ties to the tent poles. Plants are both currently in solo cups, and once the leaves are hitting the edges, will be transplanted to their final homes, which are both 5 gallon Smart Pots. As I said before, this is my first grow, and everything has been a great learning experience for me thus far. I have made and will continue to make mistakes, but I will definitely try to learn from them. If anyone has any advice, tips, criticism, or anything, please feel free to let me know. I take criticism well! Update: Day 7: I have modified my setup a bit. My humidity has been pretty hard to maintain. The humidifier has to be filled roughly every 12 hours, which is kind of annoying. My timer is 18/6, and lights are off at 10am. I've been trying to get down there before lights off to fill the tank, but sometimes I"ll be a little late and will have to mess with the humidifier with lights out, which is kind of treacherous, as I don't want to accidentally knock my plants over or spill water everywhere. So, I tried something a little different. I have one vent flap open in the back of the tent, which is against a wall, just to make sure absolutely no light is getting in during the day. I moved my tent a bit forward to have some space behind the tent, and put the humidifier back there with the mist nozzle aiming directly at the vent. As soon as I zipped the tent back up, all the mist was immediately being sucked into the vent. I also moved the internal fans around a bit to help direct the mist towards both plants. Humidity has been pretty stable at 50-60% as a result of this new setup, plus I have so much more room in my tent for activities without that stupid humidifier taking up space. Plus, there is a tiny green indicator LED in the humidifier that I tried my best to tape over, but I think some light was leaking through. It was green light though, which you can technically use to see plants in the dark without it confusing them, but I'm not sure of the actual spectrum of the light. Better safe than sorry! It's now outside the tent where it can't hurt any innocent plants. Also, the first couple days I am pretty sure I was over watering, so I switched to misting them with a spray bottle of tap water (6.5ph) every 2-3 days or so. All that's left to do today is wait for lights to come back on, so I can zip tie everything down and clean up the cables. As a final update for the week, I made a decision to use a Quantum LED setup. I bought the Horticulture Lighting Group 260 Watt Quantum Board LED Kit, which is coming tomorrow (Monday)! I can't wait to get the new one set up and running! I'll be returning the VIPARSPECTRA as the new light will be a perfect lighting setup for the space I'm utilizing. 😜

Day 8: Nothing New Notes: New lights were supposed to be here today (Monday) according to tracking, but of course, were not. So, we still got blurples for at least the next day. Both plants seem to be growing, slowly but surely! Temp and humidity are relatively under control. Based on the size of the plants, I'm thinking I might transplant into their final homes (5 gal Smart Pots) by the end of the week! Refilling the humidifier twice a day is kind of a pain. Was looking into a possible DIY solution to feed the tank from a large reservoir, so that might be coming in the future. Plants look good, soil looks kinda dry-ish, so I will be watering tomorrow. Day 9: Watering Notes: RIP my dreams of getting a new lights. Shipment is officially delayed with no ETA. Also, watered plants as they looked a little parched, and the soil was super dry. Day 10: Nothing new Notes: Lights have signature confirmation and I wasn't home 😢 Going to pick them up at the PO tomorrow and setting the damn thing up ASAP. I also mounted my exhaust fan to one of the 2x4s framing the room because it felt like CFM was lower than usual which I attribute to putting the exhaust fan all the way on the floor which added a couple bends to the ducting and lengthened it by a few feet. After mounting it (close to the exhaust port in the tent), it seemed to pick up a bit. Plants look ok. Growing very slowly. Soil still looks damp so we're good on watering! GSC definitely looks ready to transplant soon, possibly in the next day or two. NL is close behind it. Day 11: Watering Notes: I was waiting at the post office in the morning for them to open. I got home and hung the light while removing the old one. When I turned them on, HOLY SHIT ARE THEY BRIGHT. Staring at them is almost as bad as staring at the Sun -neither of which I recommend doing-. I set it up right before lights out so I didn't get to test too much. When I got home -after they have been running for 2 hours-, first thing I noticed was the temperature increase. Thermometer said it was 79f. Granted, this is running at full strength (I didn't get to adjust before I left for work). I adjusted it down to roughly 50% as most of this light is being wasted on these poor seedlings anyway. I also pointed the fan at the heat sink. We'll see how the combination of these two things affect the temperature. The GSC looks ready for transplant, with NL close behind it. I could probably transplant the GSC tonight, but I'd rather transplant both at the same time. I might transplant them Friday night after I get home, or Sunday. With that being said, I'm going to hold off on watering them until I put them in their new 5gal Smart Pots. edit: I actually did end up giving them a tiny bit of water. Day 12: Nothing new Notes: Will be transplanting on Sunday (Day 14). Plants are growing pretty steadily now. Both just about have their first full set of leaves! New lights are fucking amazing. I decided to return my filter / fan to upgrade to a better quality setup. I got a Vortex 6in S series for better longevity and also to quiet the grow area. Replaced the filter I got with a 6x16 Phresh carbon filter. Once they're both here, gonna set them up, and return the others. Day 13: Nothing new Notes: GSC is getting so big. Already up to two nodes. Same goes for the NL, but it's more Indica looking in that it's "bushy" and flat. Pretty much a sign of how the two will compare in size later on in their lives. Also, my pH pen sucks, and I needed a TDS pen, so I am going to return the shit one I got and get a BlueLab growers toolkit, which is just a pH pen and a TDS pen. Might seem like I'm going overboard, but I am trying to future-proof my setup for as long as possible. I like to get years if not decades of use out of things I purchase. The higher up-front costs are worth it to me to have a quality product that lasts. Day 14: Transplant Notes: Today is the big move. Bought some shelving / plastic containers at the hardware store for a easy to clean up drainage system. Also bought a big bag of perlite to mix and some random other tools. I mixed both 5gal Smart Pots with a 2:1 Fox Farms Ocean Forest / Perlite mix to help with drainage and aeration. I may have messed up a little and not filled the pot that will be housing the NL, but it's roughly about 3/4 full, and I may have also buried her a little bit deeper than I should have. Other than that, it was a pretty event-free move. Everything is looking good so far. Now that they're in their new homes, the countdown begins, 3 weeks, until I can start feeding them nutrients.

Day 15: Nothing new Notes: Something is up with my filter. The pressure in my tent is no longer negative, Rather, no longer as negative as it once was. It's almost equal. I took off the ducting that connected my filter to exhaust fan to see why there was very little air coming out of the fan. The damn thing roared to life and immediately started sucking air out like it was brand new. Looking at reddit, I saw a few posts with similar issues, "vivosun" and "humidifier" were common terms. I'm honestly not sure if the filter just sucks, or if it sucking a liter or two of water per day out of the air destroyed my filter. I feel like I would see that issue pop up more frequently given the number of people using humidifiers in their tents. I'm glad I am throwing in a new fan and filter tomorrow, but I'm kinda scared to use a humidifier now. I know Phresh are good filters...but I don't want to have to replace the filter in the middle of flowering. That would be bad news bears. Also, my rH somehow got up to 87%. I have no idea how long it was in that state. Temperature range was 60 to 67f too. Not great. Plants are looking solid though. Gonna hold off until tomorrow to water them. Day 16: Watering Notes: New Vortex S-600 came today. With the help of reddit, I decided to try a new solution. When I took off my old filter, white dust started flying off it. Apparently it was caked all in the pre-filter and the filter itself was full of this white dust. I could've kept shaking it, but didn't want to release all that filtered dust back into the room. So, it's sitting in a box waiting to be returned. Same thing with the exhaust fan. There was a nice layer of white dust on the blades. So, instead of destroying my next filter, I'm going to hold off installing it until it starts to smell a bit, then put it back on ASAP. My mission is to control humidity, which should be a bit easier without the variable of the clogged up filter. Once the new filter goes up, humidifier comes out as ambient rH is around 30%. I gave them both a small cup of water today around the base of the plant. Slowly trying to ease them into their giant new homes. Day 17: Nothing new Notes: Plants are getting bigger! I've been running the humidifier on full blast only during the plant's night cycle. It stays steady at about 50%. Day cycle it's about 35%. I just ordered a Variac to control the fan, so once I can mess around with that, I will be able to dial in the humidity to a perfect level. The controller that came with the fan (bundled on Amazon) is poop. It gives off a wonderful sounding humming which is great for motors /s. Day 18: Watering Notes: Spent a bit of time just looking at my plants and gave them a good watering. I have to come up with some solution to water them, because i just keep pouring water on them. Its fine now because there's no nutrients in the water, but I will want to avoid that when nutrients are in the water. Day 19: Nothing new Notes: Third node starting to grow in on both plants. Going to buy some 1 1/4in hose today to attach to my 1 gallon water jugs as watering right now, is a pain in the ass with the damn scrog in the way. Even though the scrog really isn't being used, I need to figure out something now before they start to grow in. Soil is kinda dry, but I'll give them another day to test out my rigged up watering can. I also am still waiting on my variac to show up so I can better control humidity. It's been upper 30s with the humidifier on full blast during the night cycle. But the tent can hardly retain any humidity due to the fan going full blast with no filter. Hence the need for variable speed. Also waiting on a couple pre-filters I ordered to show up. Also discovered a possible light leak. In the next room over, there is a wall with some HVAC vents going through that has a small space with no drywall, which during certain times of the day leaks light into the room, which is pointed at an intake vent that is open. I through a bunch of towels to fill in the space until I can figure out a more permanent solution. Day 20: Watering Notes: Variac came today. Vortex is running at half speed with NO HUM. Also, I noticed something new today. Actually a friend of mine who lives with me noticed it (while in the room). One or both of my plants is starting to be a bit more fragrant!! God I love that smell. It doesn't smell outside the room, and chopping the fan speed in half will help for a while until it starts to get stronger. I'll have to get others opinions daily since i'll be desensitized to it. Gave both plants each a big solo cup's worth of water. Going to start increasing the amount in 2-3 days or so as the roots expand throughout the big smart pots. Day 21: Nothing new Notes: Gently rubbed the leaves of my NL and they just smell like normal vegetation. With the GSC however, definitely a pungent aroma to them already. That plant is going to be the smelly one for sure once it's actually in flower. I will definitely only be able to check on them (opening the tent) when no one is home or late at night. Soil is still kinda damp from yesterday's watering, so we're good there. I noticed there was a very fine dusting of particles on the plants. I'm guessing it's some dust coming in through the intakes, I put an HVAC filter in front of one of the intakes, and will probably end up taping it there to help filter the air coming in. I have the exhaust fan down to 55V and it's not audible outside of the room and still cycling the air through the tent adequately. Still trying to dial in the humidity though. It's sitting at 40% rH. With turning the fan down again, it should increase, but will definitely check humidity levels again tomorrow once the night cycle is over. Other than the dust, plants seem to be growing very fast with no issues. Didn't get a chance to get some tubing for my watering setup, but will definitely be doing that tomorrow as it will probably end up being a watering day. 😴

Day 22: Watering GSC 1 Gallon of water pH: 6.5 Runoff pH: 7.1 NL 1 Gallon of water pH: 6.5 Runoff pH: 7.1 Notes: Ran about a gallon of 6.5 pH water through each plant to test runoff. Runoff was about 7.1 for some reason. I tested the water again to make sure the pen wasn't screwy, but it read 6.5 again. This is all after a cleaning and calibration, so it's definitely correct. Next watering I will pH down to 6.2 to get a range of up to 6.8. I'll be sure to post results of water/runoff. There appears to be some slight Nitrogen Toxicity in the GSC, though nothing bad. I assumed there would be some slight toxicity planting seedlings directly into FFOF. The plants are looking good and growing steadily otherwise. I bought an air purifier off Amazon to clean out the air in the room the tent is in as it's a dusty room. This should help greatly as the purifier was designed for a room slightly larger than the one it will be going in. Also bought some calibration solution for the Bluelab in 500ml bottles, so it should last me a good while. Also, going to top each plant at the third node once the fifth node forms. Could possibly be this week! Day 23: Topping Notes: 4th nodes on both plants started to grow leaves, so I changed my mind and decided that I was gonna top them today. First time ever topping a plant, so I felt like I destroyed the thing. :( I'm sure it will be fine in a couple days though. I do think I made a mistake cutting too low on the stem. I don't see the growth tips for the 3rd node on either plant. I think I may have removed them. 😐 Day 24: Nothing new Notes: Still no new growth on either plant above the third nodes. Soil was still damp below the surface, so no water today. I tried to slightly insulate my grow space by hanging plastic sheeting around the grow area to hopefully retain humidity and heat better, so it's more of a stable (and controllable) space. Day 25: Watering GSC 1/2 Gallon of water pH: 6.1 Runoff pH: 6.4 NL 1/2 Gallon of water pH: 6.1 Runoff pH: 6.4 Still no new growth on either plant. Water was tested 7.2 pH for some reason, so I PH downed to 6.1 to account for the soil raising it. Runoff tested 6.4. Humidity and temperature has been more stable since I insulated the grow space. Just have to play the waiting game after topping. 🙏 Day 26: Training Notes: Starting to see what looks like the very beginnings of growth nodes on the NL, but the ones on the GSC still look like they were mauled by my ape hands. I staked the top node growth (on both plants) down to expose the new growth site to the light more. NL is shorter but seems to be the best grower out of the two. It's very bushy and always happy to have light. The fan leaves on the GSC always look slightly droopy, but I think it might have to do with the height being almost double that of the NL, so it's probably more weighed down. Soil is still damp. No water today. Day 27: Nothing new Notes: Still no new growth 😬 Guess I did end up stunting the plant's growth. I'm sure it will recover soon. Temp / rH are stable but on the lower end of the sweet spot in the VPD chart for the temperature. If I could just increase humidity by 15%, it would be right in the middle of the sweet spot and would encourage growth. Might throw a bowl of water in there and see if that helps. Day 28: Watering GSC 1 Gallon of water pH: 6.0 Runoff pH: 6.4 NL 1 Gallon of water pH: 6.0 Runoff pH: 6.4 Notes: Still no new growth. Both plants received a gallon of water pH'd to 6, runoff measured 6.4. Lowered fan to 35V to see if I could get humidity to go up a bit more. Still looking for the sweet spot for VPD. I get the feeling these plants are both going to grow considerably over the next two weeks.

Day 29: Topping Notes: I made a mistake when topping. Absentmindedly, I cut the growth tips off - which were tiny - on both plants when I did the topping. While I was waiting for it them to grow back, the plant has been getting really strong and bushy, but growth tips were not growing in after 4 days. So, I made the decision to top the next node down, and didn't cut off the growth tips this time! 👍 I did this right after lights on, so they had all day to bask in the light. Several hours later, the plants are looking great considering. I staked down the side shoots on both plants to give the growth tips the most light possible. It made me sad to cut off the leaves. They were looking full and really vibrant! I will check them out tomorrow and update. Day 30: Nothing new Notes: Not a whole lot to update today. Plants are looking good. I messed around with LST'ing them a bit more, Keeping the growth as horizontal as possible and moving the plants around giving the new growth access to more light. Day 31: Nothing new Notes: Some of the leaves felt a little "crispy" for lack of a better term. I turned down the light to about 60%. I also messed around with training the plants some more. There are a few additional stakes in both plants. I'm trying to give all the new growth as much access to the light as possible, while trying to spread out the plant horizontally so I keep vertical growth to a minimum. I also moved the humidifier to behind the tent again as I feel it distributes the humidity as evenly as possible. I've been noticing dust or some sort of substance around the humidifier's exhaust, which I assume is a mixture of dust and minerals that were in the water that accumulated as the humidifier dispersed the water out. I had a bunch of spare gallons of water, plus a water filter, so I've started using that to reduce mineral accumulation on the plants. Soil felt more dry than wet, so I will feed tomorrow. I also plan on starting feedings on Day 35, or when they need to be watered next. So we'll see how that goes and play it by ear. Day 32: Watering GSC 1 Gallon of water pH: 6.2 Runoff pH: 6.5 NL 1 Gallon of water pH: 6.2 Runoff pH: 6.5 Notes: Humidity has been around 60-75%! Plants seem to love it. I watered them today with an input pH of 6.2 and a runoff of 6.5 on both plants. Day 33: Nothing new Notes: Humidity topped off at 84% but was around 60-65 most of the day (lights on). I took off the plant spikes around the beginning of lights on, just to see what they'd do. The GSC took the fuck off like it had been being held prisoner. It was at this moment that I realized that I have an actual cannabis plant, with how big it has gotten. I'm probably going to defoliate the GSC soon as some of the lower fan leaves are hiding the new growth sites. After defoliation, going to put the stakes back in for some LST and probably start feeding 24 hours after that at a quarter strength for its first feeding. Some of the tips of the NL are pointing down very noticeably, but it's on some of the older growth, so I'm thinking it got a little burned early on because FFOF is pretty strong on young plants. The new growth looks pretty lush, so I think it's ok to start at a quarter strength as well. Day 34: Defoliation Notes: Did some trimming and more LST. Just picked off some of the lower fan leaves and other fan leaves pointed inwards not really catching much light. Staked a bunch of stems down so that light is shining directly on a lot of the newer growth tips. Soil was still pretty damp, so no water. I'm not sure it will be ready for watering/feeding tomorrow. We'll see. Day 35: Feeding GSC 1 Gallon of water 1/4 strength base nutrients pH: 6.1 Runoff pH: 6.5 NL 1 Gallon 1/4 strength base nutrients pH: 6.1 Runoff pH: 6.3 Notes: Decided to put the scrog down today to LST the plants for me. GSC is tall enough, but NL is still pretty short and seems kinda stunted. Gonna let it grow up a bit before I mess with it anymore. Also, first feeding. Decided to go with a 1/4 strength of the feeding schedule to start off and see how plants take it. If all goes well, I'll probably start feeding every 3rd watering at 1/2 strength and go from there. Fed 1 gallon of 7.2pH water plus nutrients, used pH down to 6.1. Quite a bit more runoff than usual. Probably about 25%. Perhaps I didn't need to water. Runoff tested 6.5 for GSC and 6.3 for NL.

Day 36: Nothing today Notes: Plants seem to be responding OK to their first feeding of nutrients. I might step up the next feeding to 1/2 the recommended feeding and see how it responds. Soil is still pretty full of water. I think my watering/feeding yesterday wasn't really necessary. They're slowly growing above the scrog, which is really cool. I keep hoping they grow a few inches so I can tuck! It's my new favorite thing to do. I wish I could interact with the plants more, but I know leaving them to do their thing is best. So for now, it's watering and changing the damn humidifier. I can't wait to be rid of that cursed device. I might have to turn it down during lights out because it's hitting 80 rH during that time period, which is a bit high on the VPD chart. I can't wait to fill this whole screen, but I feel like my plants are smaller than they should be given the timeline. I have a feeling it's going to be a 2 month + vegetation time before I flip to flowering. I feel like the second grow is going to be much smoother since this first grow was more of a learning experience rather than yield concerns. Also just bought a bunch of fabric to create kind of a proper curtain around the tent area to 1.) Give it a more cozy feel and 2.) Better insulate the space for the sake of temperature, humidity and possible light leaks. Day 37: Nothing today. Notes: Came home today and opened my front door and was greeted with the wonderful aroma of weed. Great that I can smell it through the floor in a different section of the house. Not so great for inquisitive kids. I immediately put the the filter in. Poof. No more smell. Just like that. I am keeping the humidifier in for a while, until they start flowering. I have a feeling humidity won't be an issue by then. Though, the plants don't see to be growing too much. I feel like I say that a lot. I did buy a humidity/temperature controller, the Inkbird IHC200 for humidity and ITC308 for controlling temperature in case I need a portable AC unit come summer time. Also bought 6 Caliber IV portable hygrometers for curing. I've gone a bit (read: a lot) over my budget, But I THINK I have just about everything I could possibly need. Day 38: Tucking Notes: Did some more tucking and noticed that some of my leaves have pattern like tears on them. I think when they grow up, some of the leaves get caught on the scrog's wiring, which is kinda like twisty tie material. Messing around with it, it does seem sort of sharp. I will probably replace it soon with something a little more rounded. GSC is almost ready for another watering, probably a day tops. NL however, still has wet soil. I am definitely thinking it was over-watered. I thought NL was supposed to be super easy, but it's been more temperamental (probably due to my not-so-green thumb), whereas GSC has been bursting at the seams to grow more and more. Day 39: Nothing today. Notes: Soil still feels a bit damp...or maybe just cool? I can't tell. I actually googled "how to tell when soil is wet" and found a cool method that involves sticking a chopstick or popsicle stick an inch deep into the soil for 10 minutes. Afterwards, the wood will have absorbed some water if the soil is wet. If dry, then you won't see any water marks. So, I did that and it turns out my soil is actually wet, so no watering today. It will have been 5 days tomorrow 😬 I did set up my inkbird today. Set the thermostat to 75f and the humidistat to 54% rH. The only issue is that the heater has a button you must press to turn it on. So when power is given back to the space heater, it does nothing until you press the button. So, yet another damn thing I have to buy. And I'll probably end up buying a portable AC unit in the summertime 😡 Day 40: Watering GSC 1 gallon of water pH: 6.3 Runoff pH: 6.9 NL 3/4 gallon of water pH: 6.1 Runoff pH: 6.6 Bought some 20 gauge twisted pair electrical wire to redo the scrog. 65 ft of the stuff. All 65 ft of it were twisted. So, I had to untwist...all of it. It took me like 3 hours to undo my old scrog, untwist the new wire, and rewire the scrog. It was a constant battle with snags and tangles, what a clusterfuck. It definitely feels and looks nicer now though. The wire is insulated, soft, flexible yet strong. Soil was noticeably dry this time and i gave them water slowly until I started seeing runoff. Roughly a gallon for GSC and 3/4 of a gallon for NL. Runoff tested at 6.9 for GSC and 6.6 for NL. Plants look really healthy. Day 41: Tucking Notes: Did some tucking on the GSC. Not sure what's up with the NL, but it feels like I'm never tucking and the bud sites aren't growing up. No weird discoloring, obvious deficiencies or toxicities...it just seems like it's stunted. Day 42: Nothing new Notes: Soil still damp, so no watering, and no nutrients this week. Next watering will be a 1/2 strength dose. The plants are looking really good. I'm gonna let some of the bud sites grow a few inches above the canopy before I tuck again. Every little square I look in, I find a new bud site growing. The scrog is definitely an LST machine. By the time I flip, there's going to be a ton of fully developed bud sites.

Day 43: Nothing new Notes: Not much to update today. Soil still somewhat damp. Waiting until some of the bud sites have grown a few inches to tuck again. I have some more nutrients and supplements coming on Wednesday (FF Kelp Me Kelp You/Wholly Mackerel/Microbe Brew/GH Armor SI (Silica)/Mycorrhizae), so that will be a big feeding and a big update. Fabric for blocking off my grow space is coming in Wednesday, so that will add some color to my otherwise monotone grow space, as well as help block out any potential light leaks and better insulate heat and humidity. I also ordered a wider heatsink for my QBs to get a better coverage for my canopy. I'll have to do that during lights out, so I'm not sure how well that's going to work. Day 44: Defoliation Notes: Did a heavy defoliation. I was too rough with the plants I think. Ended up breaking a couple stems and accidentally removing a couple bud sites. Day 45: Feeding GSC: 3/4 Gallon of water half-strength base nutrients full strength supplemental nutrients full strength silica mycorrhizae pH: 6.4 NL: 1 Gallon of water full strength silica half-strength base nutrients full-strength supplemental nutrients mycorrhizae pH: 6.4 Notes: No tucking today. Still letting plants recover and grow upwards. I got new nutrients today. Some of the bottles came with holes poked in the cap and no seals. I read this is done so that the bottles don't explode during delivery, lol. Well, I didn't notice the holes at first. When I was picking up 6-7 bottles of stuff, I managed to spill some of the Microbe Brew on my hoodie. Holy god does that stuff smell. Also sealed my space up better with a ton of flannel fabric. Blocked out a ton of light and better insulated the space. Great Success! Day 46: Nothing new Notes: Plants seem to be growing heaps after their feeding. One of the lower big fan leaves that did not get defoliated is showing early signs of calcium deficiency. Other than that, plants are looking solid. I am thinking my timeline for flipping is less than two weeks at their current rate of growth. Day 47: Watering GSC: 1 Gallon of Water .75 tsp/gal of Botanicare Cal-Mag pH: 6.4 NL: 1 Gallon of Water pH: 6.4 Notes: The plants hardly seem like I defoliated damn near everything a few days ago. Lots of growth sites popping up, and I only topped a single time. Scrogs rule. Day 48: Nothing new Notes: Plants are looking fabulous. I think I'm going to do a round of tucking, let them pop up, and start prepping to switch to flowering. 😎 Ordered a 12 outlet power strip rated for 15A and 1,800W plus two additional clip-on fans for beneath the canopy. Day 49: Defoliation / Tucking Notes: Did another round of defoliation and tucking without incident, until...I split the main stalk down the middle by being a little overzealous with my training. So uh, I hope it heals correctly. I have a feeling it will; because if there's one thing I've learned, it's that cannabis plants are resilient little fuckers.

Still feel bad about my poor GSC's main stalk. I think it will be fine though. Was thinking of lollipopping before I flip to 12/12, but most of the growth tips from the first and second nodes are poking through the scrog, so I'll probably just clean the bottom up before I flip. Got my two new fans today and zip-tied everything up all nice and neat. Can't wait for the new power strip. Something wrong with my current one where it's very picky and you have to jiggle the power cord for the lights to stay on...not good. Don't want my lights going out at random for no reason. Just gotta wait until Wednesday to install the thing and then we're golden. Plans for this week are as follows: Water, Lollipop, Feed, Flip. Day 51: Nothing new Notes: Heatsink came today. I wanted a better coverage for the lights and this seems to be the perfect setup, plus it gives room for a third board. I transplanted the boards when lights were on, so for 20 minutes, all they had for light was a shitty CFL that is used to light the space around the grow tent. Then, I went to plug the lights in, and the lights didn't come on. After about 5 panicky minutes, I jiggled the power cable a little and lights came on. The loose power cable scared the shit out of me. I can't wait to get the new power strip tomorrow and run these cables proper. Day 52: Nothing new Notes: Set up my new power strip + LED workspace light. Feels good to not have to worry about a strip outlet melting, as well as being able to see stuff without knocking everything over. The last thing I want to do is knock over those bottles of Wholly Mackerel and Microbe Brew 💩💩💩 Also, need to flip sooooon. Both plants are getting out of control. I'm worried about not having enough space to tuck during the stretch. Need to water tomorrow, hopefully flip/feed on Sunday. Day 53: Watering GSC 1 Gallon of water 0.5 tsp of Great White Mycorrhizae pH: 6.1 Not enough runoff to test NL 1 Gallon of water 0.5 tsp of Great White Mycorrhizae pH: 6.1 Not enough runoff to test Notes: Had to recalibrate my bluelab today for the first time in weeks. Also, ordered a battery-powered siphon pump for watering. Watering with my current setup is an exercise in how to be frustrated. Topping too low is still haunting me and will continue to for the next couple months. I am going to buy a 5 gallon bucket to mix my water/nutrients in, probably around 3 gallons at a time to water until about 25% runoff. Plants are looking healthy. I tucked some more today, which is also an exercise in frustration. I already can't wait to defoliate/lollipop. The NL is essentially a small fat bush right now. Day 54: Nothing new Notes: Made sure some bud sites were popping out and not caught in anything. Probably going to lollipop/defoliate tomorrow (Sat), and flip on Sunday for sure. Will possibly feed Sunday or Monday. We'll see how it goes. Day 55: Defoliation Notes: Heavily defoliated and lollipopped all the undergrowth on both plants. Took me over an hour because I was trying to figure out the best way to tuck and defoliate, while trying to reach under the scrog to get everything. I stripped every single fan leaf and growth site that was under the net. The ones that made it to the top were spared. The plants look like a leaf thief was on the loose. I feel like I am growing the plants sub-optimally, but I guess that is to be expected. I also think my new fans are causing wind burn where they are positioned. The leaves right be a couple of the fan look torn up. I will think about how i can re-position the fans to get under the canopy and not have an effect on the leaves. Going to give them the night to recover and flip tomorrow night after feeding them the last round of veg nutrients. Day 56: Feeding / Changed Light Schedule GSC 1 Gallon of Water 1.5 tsp Big Bloom 1.5 tsp Grow Big 0.5 tsp Armor Si 0.25 tsp Kelp Me Kelp You pH 6.7 NL 1 Gallon of Water 1.5 tsp Big Bloom 1.5 tsp Grow Big 0.5 tsp Armor Si 0.25 tsp Kelp Me Kelp You pH 6.7 Notes: Tucked a couple shoots, and plants look like they are recovering nicely, as usual. I fed the plants, cleaned up the area, and then changed the light shutoff time to 4am. I triple checked that thing just to be certain I didn't make any dumb mistakes.

Day 57 F1: Nothing new Notes: First day on 12/12. Plants are looking pretty clean. I am pretty satisfied with how the grow is going thus far. Soil is still pretty damp, so no watering yet. My new siphon pump came, so watering should be much less a pain in the ass than what I was doing before. The next feeding is going to the last feeding on the vegetative schedule. Everything after that will be on the flowering side. I can't wait to see how big these buds get under these lights at full strength. Day 58 F2: Nothing new Notes: Switched lights from 50% to roughly 75%. I will likely water and tuck tomorrow. Plants are looking good. 😁 Day 59 F3: Watering / Tucking GSC 1.5 Gallons of water 0.75 tsp / gallon of Great White Mycorrhizae pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.6 NL 1.5 Gallons of water 0.75 tsp of Great White Mycorrhizae pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.6 Notes: Mixed 1.5 tsp of Mycorrhizae into a bucket of 3 gallons of water that had been sitting out for 3 days to evaporate some of the chlorine. I got to use my new battery-powered siphon which is fantastic. Easy to access the plants and water them, and then you can suck the runoff right back into the bucket. I did some light tucking of some of the branches that were getting a little too comfortable growing towards the light. Gotta keep them down! Also, I ordered an adjustable stand with some saucers with a slightly bigger diameter than the smart pots, so water isn't getting all over the damn tent. I also made a decision to just stick to the feeding schedule as it seems to account for vegetative growth during the initial weeks of flowering. Day 60 F4: Tucking Notes: Switched out the bases holding up my plants, which I probably should not have done and just waited until the next grow. Also did some tucking. Not much else going on. Plants are getting big. Day 61 F5: Nothing new Notes: Put a plant yoyo on my main stalk that split a while back. I'm not sure it's deepening, but I put it on there just to be safe. Going to put some glue in there too just as a precaution. I should've done that after it happened. Day 62 F6: Feeding / Tucking GSC 1.5 Gallon of water 0.5 tsp/gal Armor Si 1.5 tsp/gal Grow Big 1.0 tsp/gal Big Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 0.5 tsp/gal Microbe Brew 0.5 tsp/gal Kelp Me Kelp You pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.4 NL 1.5 Gallon of water 0.5 tsp/gal Armor Si 1.5 tsp/gal Grow Big 1.0 tsp/gal Big Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 0.5 tsp/gal Microbe Brew 0.5 tsp/gal Kelp Me Kelp You pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.3 Notes: Feeding time! Did some light tucking afterward for the easier to manipulate stems. There are some bud sites on the GSC that are at the end of the scrog and are going to require to creativity to maintain in the next two weeks. That plant is going to be bonkers in a few weeks. Day 63 F7: Nothing new Notes: Re-positioned some of the shoots growing taller than the rest . Also, I moved the sensors to right in the middle of the GSC's canopy underneath a big fan leaf. It feels like I would get a better representation of humidity and temperature that matter to the plants.

Anyone ever try using the last week of vegetative growth's feeding schedule during the first week of flowering? Decided to try it out since the plants will be growing more vegetation than focusing on flowering during the first week after flipping. At least that's what I assume.

Actually, if you go by almost any manufacturer - they say that you should be using nutrients that are primarily for veg into first week or two of flower. It's recommended as plants need time to adjust to the light cycle and actually start flowering. Until that happens they stretch, some very much so and for that they need the nutrients for veg. Most of times it's recommended to slowly decrease them from 100% to 0%

Day 64 F8: Nothing new Notes: Plants will probably be ready for watering tomorrow. I brushed on some tree seal on the broken stalk on the GSC and put a layer of wood glue around there as well. Due to how closely the nodes are spaced, I can't get tape around there, so the best I can do is try to stop the break from deepening. Day 65 F9: Watering GSC 1.5 Gallons of water pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.6 NL 1.5 Gallons of water pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.6 Notes: I think I may have had a power outage today at some point, and I have no idea when. High of 82% RH, low temp of 61F, neither of which should ever happen. Temp was oddly warm as well at 79F. Well, hopefully nothing bad comes of this. Watered today and did some light tucking. Might have to start doing a light defoliation every other day. Both plants are so dense and short. Lots of fans covering lots of things. Day 66 F10: Nothing new Notes: Plants are looking OK. GSC has a bit of a calcium issue that showed on one of the older fans. Second time this has showed. Since there's no pH issue, and barring any weird interaction between nutrients -I'm not mixing concentrates together- I'm guessing that plant just requires just a bit more calcium than I have in my tap water. I'm going to start adding a half-dose of Calmag to my feedings. I think I am going to start pulling off a handful of fans every other day or so. Just the ones that are blocking light to other flowers. I don't want to go ham sandwich with it and stress out my plants. Day 67 F11: Defoliation Notes: Did some minor defoliation and tucking on the NL, but it didn't need much since it's a shorty to begin with. The GSC however, I did some major tucking and took off a lot more fans than I originally intended to. I opened up a ton of flower sites to the light though. This plant is definitely stretching and filling up the scrog. The top right quadrant of the scrog is now full. I might have to start weaving them backwards until the stretch is finished. The skeleton of this plant is going to look like an insane person trained this plant. I didn't check the soil to see if it needs watering, but I will probably be doing some feeding tomorrow since the plant seems to need water roughly every 3 days. Day 68 F12: Feeding / Defoliation / Tucking GSC 1.5 Gallons of water 0.5 tsp/gal Armor Si 0.5 tsp/gal Cal-Mag Plus 1.5 tsp/gal Grow Big 1.0 tsp/gal Big Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 0.5 tsp/gal Kelp Me Kelp You pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.4 NL 1.5 Gallons of water 0.5 tsp/gal Armor Si 0.5 tsp/gal Cal-Mag Plus 1.5 tsp/gal Grow Big 1.0 tsp/gal Big Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 0.5 tsp/gal Kelp Me Kelp You pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.4 Notes: Feeding time! Added some Cal-Mag to the mix, which I think I will do every other feeding as that's typically when the C deficiency shows up. Water/nutrients were 6.5 pH without adding any pH Down. Not sure why this happened now, and not any other time. I did thoroughly stir the solution between every addition. I did some light defoliation (like a handful of leaves between both plants) and some more tucking, not much though. Most everything was starting to poke up from yesterday's defoliation session. I did snap a stem of one of the main colas of the NL :( Not a clean snap, but enough to warrant a good taping. That one might need a yoyo if it gets heavy enough. We'll see how it looks in a few days. Day 69 F13: Nothing new Notes: My little bud site with the tape on it did not make it. So, I just topped it down from where it snapped. Plants look good otherwise. Day 70 F14: Nothing new Notes: Tucked a couple of flowers, but other than that, nothing really new. Plants are looking solid. Can't wait to be done with the stretch! Gonna lollipop and do a decent defoliation after the stretch is done. I should just be able to sit back and watch them fatten up after that point.

Did a little bit of tucking, mostly on the NL. If all goes well, I should have a perfectly even canopy for the NL during flowering. The GSC on the other hand...scrog is mostly full on that side with a couple of flowers higher than the rest. I gotta get them under the net, but might need to defoliate some, because it's like a jungle in the canopy. Day 72 F16: Nothing new Notes: My inkbird is set to 52% RH. I noticed humidity was sitting at almost 55% and the humidifier tank was 3/4ths full. So, I added a dehumidifier to the inkbird, which will turn on once humidity reaches 54% and won't turn off until it's full, or it decreases down to 52%. Looking at this dehumidifier, it seems pitifully inadequate for the task at hand. The reservoir is tiny and will probably fill up quickly. We'll see how it works and see if it needs to be upgraded. Day 73 F17: Tucking Notes: Did some tucking. I think the stretch might be done or really close to being done. Going to do some defoliation and a lollipop once they're done growing. Also, the dehumidifier I got is indeed worthless. Humidity control is set to 52% and it won't come down from 54%, and the water tank is hardly full. I might have to get something a bit more heavy duty. Put some tape over some pinholes in the tent trying to get rid of any potential light leaks. Also, I put some tape over the green LED in my tent. It went through one light cycle with that light shining in there, so hopefully nothing bad happens. Day 74 F18: Feeding / Tucking GSC 1.5 Gallon of water 0.5 tsp/gal Armor Si 1.5 tsp/gal Big Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Grow Big 1.0 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 0.5 tsp/gal Microbe Brew 0.5 tsp/gal Kelp Me Kelp You pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.4 NL 1.5 Gallon of water 0.5 tsp/gal Armor Si 1.5 tsp/gal Big Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Grow Big 1.0 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 0.5 tsp/gal Microbe Brew 0.5 tsp/gal Kelp Me Kelp You pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.3 Notes: Feeding and some light tucking. Humidifier still sucks. Nothing else new. Day 75 F19: Nothing new Notes: Absolutely nothing new. Day 76 F20: Nothing new Notes: Soil starting to feel dry, so I will be watering tomorrow. One of the fan leaves looks completely yellowed, and I'm not quite sure what it is. But it's one of the fan leaves right below the canopy. The rest of the plant does not look underfed. This doesn't appear to be an issue on the GSC either. I guess I will research it, but I am not super worried about it. I am thinking the stretch will be over this week. I will be heavily defoliating at that point. So when I water tomorrow, it will probably be the last time I tuck. Day 77 F21: ??? Notes: I fell asleep super early and didn't wake up in time to water. Will be doing that first thing on F22.

Day 78 F22: Watering/Defoliation/Tucking GSC 1.5 Gallons of water pH 6.6 Runoff pH 6.4 NL 1.5 Gallons of water pH 6.6 Runoff pH 6.4 Notes: I watered first thing when lights were on. Afterwards, I did a pretty big defoliation, getting rid of approximately 85%+ of the fan leaves. After this, I re-positioned a lot of the bud sites. There were a couple that were pretty woody and I could not move without inadvertently super-cropping. I didn't feel it was necessary though as the canopy is almost completely even now. Also, going to start adding a small dose of cal-mag to every feeding now, and feeding base NPK at 3/4 strength instead of the 1/2 strength. We'll see how they do. Day 79 F23: Nothing new Notes: Plants are recovering from major defoliation very nicely. New dehumidifier will be here tomorrow. RH has been steadily around 54% with the shitty dehumidifier running almost constantly. To anyone reading this, I cannot emphasize how useless those little ones from Amazon are, don't buy em. Day 80 F24: Nothing new Notes: New dehumidifier came. Required a bit of reorganizing my space. I obviously can't put it in the tent, so it has to sit outside and dehumidify the whole room. It will take some time to adjust, considering the humidity I'm worried about it beneath the canopy of the plants, but I will let it run and see how good it work. I adjusted my inkbird down to 45% RH and will probably adjust down to 40% in a month. Day 81 F25: Feeding GSC 1.5 Gallons of water 0.5 tsp/gal Armor Si 2.25 tsp/gal Big Bloom 1.5 tsp/gal Grow Big 1.5 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Cal-Mag Plus 0.5 tsp/gal Kelp Me Kelp You pH 6.5 NL 1.5 Gallons of water 0.5 tsp/gal Armor Si 2.25 tsp/gal Big Bloom 1.5 tsp/gal Grow Big 1.5 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Cal-Mag Plus 0.5 tsp/gal Kelp Me Kelp You pH 6.5 Notes: Had to break open the bottom of pH Up for the first time. After everything was mixed, it came in at 6.4 pH. I could've easily used that, but decided to try out the pH Up. You have to use significantly more to get the pH to move when compared to the pH Down. Added half a tsp to the mix to get it to move a tenth. With pH down, that would've dropped it probably a whole point. Day 82 F26: Nothing new Notes: Just patiently waiting for flowers to beef up and making sure temperature and RH are on point as well as monitoring the plant for signs of distress. Day 83 F27: Nothing new Notes: Didn't notice anything new, but was really tired this night and went to sleep early. Day 84 F28: Watering GSC 1.5 Gallons of water 0.5 tsp/gal Great White Micorrhizae pH 6.6 Runoff pH 6.6 NL 1.5 Gallons of water 0.5 tsp/gal Great White Micorrhizae pH 6.6 Runoff pH 6.7 Notes: Watered today, but noticed an issue on the NL. Lots of leaves showing necrotic spots which look like a calcium issue. pH has been pretty on point the whole grow, and I just started feeding more cal-mag, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Day 85 F29: Nothing new Notes: Temps/RH look OK. Not much else to tell right now. I'm just deciding how I want to deal with the (apparent) calcium deficiency. The last feeding included a full dose of cal-mag+. Will continue to monitor and feed a full dose to it. I might have to flush that plant if it gets worse. Day 86 F30: Nothing new Notes: Aside from yellowing dead leaves falling off the NL, both the plants' flowers look and smell amazing. I cannot wait to smoke this thing. I will monitor that. I also kinda fucked up adding 1.5 tsp/gal of Grow Big, when the feeding schedule says 0.75 tsp/gal as well as double the dosage of Kelp Me Kelp You. Either way, this is the last feeding of Grow Big and Kelp. Hopefully this doesn't show up as a excess. I also changed the feeding order to start with Silica and the phosphorous heavy solutions as these alter the pH the most. The last things added will be the microbial based solutions. Day 88 F32: Nothing new Notes: NL continues to show signs of other leaves losing color and showing a calcium deficiency. Will continue to monitor. Otherwise, everything is getting bigger and prettier.👌 Day 89 F33: Nothing new Notes: Plants are continuing to yellow on the NL, but slowly and nothing super major. They both smell magnificent. Soil was still damp an inch down, so watering tomorrow. I had to empty the dehumidifier again for the second time this week...again, it's a 50 pint unit, but still. That's insane. Day 90 F34: Watering GSC 1.5 Gallon of water pH 6.6 Runoff pH 6.7 NL 1.5 Gallon of water pH 6.6 Runoff pH 6.6 Notes: Emptied the dehumidifier AGAIN. Also, there were a few crispy leaves on the NL. I don't think it's light burn, but I turned the lights down a bit just to see if the issue continues. Day 91 F35: Nothing new Notes: Buds are starting to pack on a light weight. Looking beautiful as usual. The GSC smells so good and actually smells very sweet!

Day 93 F37: Feeding GSC 1.5 Gallons of water 0.5 tsp/gal Armor SI 1.5 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 2.25 tsp/gal Big Bloom 2.0 tsp/gal Cal-Mag Plus pH 6.4 Runoff pH 6.3 NL 1.5 Gallons of water 0.5 tsp/gal Armor SI 1.5 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 2.25 tsp/gal Big Bloom 2.0 tsp/gal Cal-Mag Plus pH 6.4 Runoff pH 6.3 Notes: Plants looked healthy today. I don't think light is the cause of some of the yellowing leaves, so I turned it back up to 100%. Going to do a slight defoliation on F45. Day 94 F38: Nothing new Notes: Nothing really new today. Got new Hurricane oscillating 12in fans, which will possibly be going in this grow, and if not this one, definitely the next one. Also got the portable AC which due to the insane weather, I don't need today since it's going to snow tomorrow. It was 80 degrees a couple days ago. I set it up with the Inkbird, so I'll have to observe it next time we have a warm day. Day 95 F39: Nothing new Notes: NL continuing to show signs of fan leaves dying off while GSC is very much alive. Day 96 F40: Nothing new Notes: Got home about 5 minutes before lights off. Just in time to make sure temps/humidity were OK and the plants weren't on fire. Will feed tomorrow. I plan on switching to a Feed/Feed/Water schedule until the "flush" time around harvest. Day 97 F41: Feeding GSC 1.5 Gallons of water 0.5 tsp/gal Armor SI 1.5 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 2.25 tsp/gal Big Bloom 2.0 tsp/gal Cal-Mag Plus pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.5 NL 1.5 Gallons of water 0.5 tsp/gal Armor SI 1.5 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 2.25 tsp/gal Big Bloom 2.0 tsp/gal Cal-Mag Plus pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.4 Notes: Did my second feed this week. I didn't think I'd run out of nutrients on my first grow, but I'm on the bottom half of my Big Bloom bottle. I'm not sure if it will run out before I harvest. I definitely feel like feed/water schedule at 3/4 strength is kinda starving them. I'm going to try feed/feed/water and see what happens there. If that works, I'll try feed/feed/water/feed/water. The smell is so strong once you open up the tent. My wife upstairs told me she could smell it. Also, when I walked in the grow room, I'm not sure if I caught a whiff of weed, but I'll definitely have to keep an eye on that. I might have to change filters if it gets bad. Day 98 F42: Nothing new Notes: GSC now showing signs of a problem, and I'm not sure exactly what it is.

Day 99 F43: Light Defoliation Notes: Defoliated some of the dead growth and other fan leaves on their way out. Buds are very sticky and delicious smelling. Day 100 F44: Flush/Feeding Flushed each plant with a solution of 1.5 gallons of water with a tsp/gal of FF Sledgehammer. After that, I flushed each with 5 gallons of pH'd water, then fed the following: GSC 1 gallon of water 1.5 tsp/gal Big Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Armor Si 1.0 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Cal-Mag+ pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.6 NL 1 gallon of water 1.5 tsp/gal Big Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Armor Si 1.0 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Cal-Mag+ pH 6.5 Runoff pH 6.6 Notes: What a mess. Flushing sucks. The fact that I feel the need to do it AND the actual physical work combined make the whole thing not fun. I have a feeling the flushing agent is going to come back to bite me over the coming week. I feel like anything I gave the plant will just go straight to drainage. Day 101 F45: Nothing new Notes: Both plants seemed to be OK. Going to start feeding them 1/2 strength every watering until I get to a week with 3 water days and just water on that day. I will probably do this the remainder of the plants' lives. Day 102 F46: Nothing new Notes: Plants seems to be fattening up. Buds are looking nice! Day 103 F47: Nothing new Notes: It feels like they have 3-4 weeks to go, but the NL is looking like it will be pretty ripe soon. Even though both seeds have a flowering time of 7-9 weeks (I know the breeder's estimate is always shorter), it feels like the NL will be ready sooner than the GSC. Just my inexperience talking. I got a bag of hydro growstones to use as a top and bottom layer for my medium. Top for not flooding the canopy so easily and having all the perlite float to the surface, and bottom for additional drainage. I've been pH adjusting them for the last 24 hours, and will probably continue to adjust until they hold a pH of 6.5. I'm not super worried about them adjusting the pH, but I have nothing better to do, so might as well do the best job I can for the next grow. Soil still a bit damp, will likely feed tomorrow. Day 104 F48: Feeding GSC 1 Gallon of water 1.0 tsp/gal Armor Si 1.5 tsp/gal Big Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Cal-Mag Plus pH 6:4 No runoff NL 1 Gallon of water 1.0 tsp/gal Armor Si 1.5 tsp/gal Big Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Tiger Bloom 1.0 tsp/gal Cal-Mag Plus pH 6:4 No runoff Notes: Calibrated my Inkbird today. Plants look OK though there are a lot of dead leaves on the NL. But good god, the GSC smells STRONG. Like, i kinda catch a whiff of it when opening the door to my grow room, strong. It's still not noticeable throughout the rest of the house, but I will definitely be keeping an eye on that. Day 105 F49: Nothing new Notes: Did some basic maintenance. Nothing else really going on.

Day 113 F57: Defoliation Notes: Removed a lot of the older dead growth and leaves that were covering stuff. Buds seemed to respond well. I think I see an amber here or there. I think I am going to give them one full strength feeding and then start water only after that. Plan to chop in two weeks, possibly less. Getting close!! I'm so excited! I see some amber on there, but I can't tell exactly how much. I'd like to chop around 20% amber at most. Is my estimate of next tuesday a good time to chop?

The trichs will continue to ripen after you harvest the buds so if your looking for 20% at harvest you got a few more days. But if your looking for 20% at smoke then I’d harvest them now and you should end up around where you want to be. I see about 10% now

Usually when the pistils curl back and turn reddish brown, then it's time to harvest, but that can also be deceiving, sometimes they do that for environmental conditions. You'll have to check the thricomes daily, because they can get to the point you want any day now.

Hi there! Having amber trichomes means that you already missed the perfect window, your buds will get slightly less THC but more CBN, resulting in a relaxing / couchlocking smoke. If you're looking for a recreative high, you should have cut her when the first amber trichomes appeared. If you want something more 'stone' than 'high', to fight anxiety or insomnia for example, you can wait until you have 20-30% of amber trichomes. I'll be around, good luck with your havest!

Got about 9oz of good solid buds and maybe a bit of some airy or popcorn buds, but everything in those jars look great. I wish I was capable of taking pictures, because the nugs are beautiful. Also got about 2oz of trim, some of which is smokable. Rest will go to edibles.
