Blueberry DWC

So... This is my first attempt at a DWC grow. Set the DWC kit up and placed the rock-wool into the net and covered with clay pebbles Water is around 14l (Buckets are 19l) This has it bubbling just over the 1st layer of clay and onto the Rock-wool. 15th March - I'll update this diary every Monday and Thursday Light is at 25% power, 25cm from the plant. 18hrs on. Extraction fan set to keep humidity at 75% I have a humidifier running on its lowest setting. This will be removed when the plant is a little bigger 16th March - Gave it a light top watering. This is because until roots grow fully into the liquid I want to make sure it has some H20 to drink 18th March, Thursday - Roots coming through net cup

Monday 22 March This is growing very quickly already. Very impressed. Slightly behind tent buddy Blue Dream, but this can change over time Now roots are hanging down I've lowered the water amount to 11l from 14l last week. 40ml of the IONIC grow > 11Lt (60% strength) 11ml Samurai Silicon pH 5.65 Lights @ 40% - 20cm Thursday 25th I could notice a couple of brown spots appearing so I decided to add another 20ml of Grow Nute. This totals 60ml (77ml is the brands recommendation) p.H @ 5.7 and didn't need adjusting Cut off the first set of true leaves as they were laying over the clay pebbles Water temp is around 23c - A bit on the high side for me, but It varies with the tent temp.

29th March Monday Had to defoliate the 4 main palm leaves as they were so big, blocking all the light to other areas Also both plants were topped to create more yield later. I will probably top again at some point. Roots are all white and growing nicely 11 Litres per tank 11ml Silicon 50ml of the IONIC GROW - with 20ml to follow on Thursday. P.H 5.7 Lights now set at 50% but pulled a little higher to 23cm above canopy Trying to keep temp around 26c and Humidity around 67%, dropping this lower each week 1st April Thursday 20ml more GROW added (takes total week feed to 70ml: 77ml would be 100% recommended dose) p.H still at 5.7 Little more defoliation as you can see from the pics - starting to bush up nicely

Monday 4th April Not quite growing how I'd like, very bushy so far will little height. plus I've had one or two main stems snap with little to no pressure. Its a lot smaller than I would have hoped for, but it still has time to recover to a decent size Going to give it 2 more weeks of veg before considering the 12/12 shift. Hopefully it will fill out a lot more in that time. Roots are looking very healthy and white 11 liters water 11ml Silicon 2TBS of Epsom Salts 40ml (30ml to follow on Thursday) GROW IONIC Lights 40% power - 18cm Thursday 8th April -

Monday 12 April My Plants were not gaining height so I took advice and raised the lights. Within a week they have exploded and grown upwards for me. Did some defoliation too I'm going to continue vegging for about another 7-14 days to try and get these a decent size before flipping to flower. 50ml Grow 11ml Silicon p.H 5.7 Thursday 15 April Still getting bigger and decided to LST them back a little to spread the canopy Looking very healthy still, so more of the same. Light power up to 60% 20ml Grow P.H 5.5

Monday 19th April 11 Liters water 11ml Silicon 50ml IONIC GROW P.H 5.7 Lights 55cm to create some stretch @60% power Really bushing out and growing out. After this final week of veg, it should have it at a decent size before I flip it. All looking healthy. The Combo of IONIC and SILICON has proven to be very reliable vegging.

Tuesday April 27th Light Flipping day. After extending the veg cycle a week or two I'm now ready to get these flowering. I've defoliated most of the Big fan leaves and also lightly pinned back the plant with some more LST to help shape it while it stretches. 12/12 (on 10pm - 10am) 11 Litres water 11 ml silicon 60 ml Shogun Bloom 6 ml IONIC PK booster Lights at 30cm - 80%

Monday 3rd May Just starting the 2nd week of Flower and I can see it starting to stretch up already. Roots are white and clean, look healthy as do the leaves. Defoliated the fan leaves - which are the biggest I've ever come across on a plant (Blueberry) Everything looking good so far - Nutes are working well. Light distance is now at 25cm above the canopy and at 90% power 11 Litres water 11ml Silicon 11ml PK Boost 90ml Shogun BLOOM

The Blueberry is stretching and growing nicely. Tiny white flower sites are starting to appear. Although not as pronounced as its Blue Dream tent buddy. Took a lot of leaves off during a good defoliation session. LST to pin back the longer stems Nutes seem to be doing the job nicely still so far with no visible burning. 11L water 11ml Silicon 11ml PK booster 45ml x2 (90ml) Bloom Light 26cm above 90% power Friday 14th May - Added 4lt of P.H water as the plant had drunk that in 3-4 days! Very thirsty 5ml Bloom 5ml Silicon

Every day I check these plants they seem to have grown over the 24hrs - Incredible Monday 17th May 12L Water 15ml Silicon 70ml (35x2ml) Bloom 15ml PK Booster Split the light as Blueberry is taller. 100% power now while flowering 16cm above canopy. Big defoliation too Thursday 20th May 2.5lt water (keeps drinking a lot)

24th May Monday Blueberry is a lot taller than my Blue Dream. The Sativa part of the hybrid is certainly coming out in this one.. Be interesting to see how big the buds form - All going to plan so far.. Compared to previous soil grows, DWC kicks ass in terms of growth 12L Water 45ml x 2 A+B (90ml) Bloom 12ml Silicon 12ml PK Boost

Monday 31st May Ok... So the Blueberry was flowing, but very small flower areas that were looking like popcorn It had also grown incredibly leggy and stretched to about 5'.. In comparison to its tent buddy the Blue Dream this plant was not looking like a good yielder and had my light at its max height in the tent (16cm above canopy) I'm not sure why or how it grew so tall but after defoliation I decided to SUPER-CROP it - I know I shouldn't do this in flower but it was so tall. It'll either recover or end up in the bin. Didn't think Id end up with it like this. Drinking fluid @ around 1litre per day! 12lt water 12ml silicon 35ml BLOOM A + 35ml BLOOM B (70ml) 15ml PK Boost

Monday 7th June BlueBerry This poor baby looks a mess. Smells amazing though, probably better than the Blue Dream next to it. If it can keep itself together, I may be able to salvage some buds from it in a few weeks time Another Week or two with nutes then I'll flush for 2 weeks 12l water 30ml A+B Bloom (60ml) 12ml Silicon 12ml PK Booster
