Week 1: March 21 2021 - March 27 2021 Seed sprouted and broke soil within 72 hours, and is looking great after a full week. Blue Dream is one of my favorite strains and I had amazing success growing her last year, so I'm hoping for similar results! So far so good, out of the 4 seeds I planted for this year, this one is the strongest. Not much else to report on, just glad she made it and that growing season is back! 😀 If you have any questions, comments, tips, or advice, feel free to post below. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Week 2: March 28 2021 - April 3 2021 Great week, no complaints. The plant started growing it's third set of true leaves and gets bigger every day. Definitely the biggest plant out of the 4 I planted this year. Fan leaves look like they are going to be huge. Not much else to update, watering the plants every other day and just letting them do their thing for now. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Week 3: April 4 2021 - April 10 2021 Another great week with steady growth. Weather was beautiful on Saturday so the plants were able to spend a few hours in the sun. Blue Dream is so far the strongest out of my plants, and I'll probably be topping her within the next 2 weeks. Plant looks healthy and happy and showing no signs of deficiencies. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Week 4: April 11 2021 - April 17 2021 Great week, not much to update. Rapid growth with big fan leaves. So far, she's the tallest of the bunch. Will probably end up topping her in the next week or so, and also start introducting nutrients. Thanks for stopping by, and have a safe 4/20. Cheers!

Week 6: April 25 2021 - May 1 2021 Another great week, Blue Dream has recovered and responded well to last week's topping. Plant is really starting to focus on side branches and bush out. The goal is to get these girls outside by May Long Weekend, but if the weather cooperates, I'm hoping I can get them outdoors in the next 2 weeks. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Week 7: May 2 2021 - May 8 2021 Rapid growth this week as the plant continues branch out. A bunch of new shoots are starting to appear and she is growing new leaves daily. I've cleaned up a few older fan leaves after noticing some big ones were starting to turn pale. Increased nutrients a little bit as the plant is clearly hungry. Can't wait to get this plant outside! She is going to be a beast. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers.

Week 8: May 9 2021 - May 15 2021 Great weather this week so the plants spent a few hours outside enjoying the sun. Forecast is looking good so plants should be outside in their final homes by next week. No other issues, just strong growth. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Week 9: May 16 2021 - May 22 2021 Moved Blue Dream outdoors on Monday, May 17, 2021 - Transplanted into 20-inch, 45 Liter pot (12 gallon) - Used a blend of Pro Mix Premium Potting Mix and Organic Black Earth topping soil Amazing weather this past week forced me to put the plants outside. Insane growth this week, Blue Dream shot up a good 6 inches. Plants are extremely happy and loving their new homes. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Week 10: May 23 2021 - May 29 2021 We got rain on Friday and temperatures dropped to 2 degrees (35 F)! Covered the plants with garbage bags in the morning and then removed them on Saturday. Luckily, it was only one freak day and the weather is back to normal now... Only in Canada... 😂 Plants were a little shocked, showing drooping leaves and bent branches, but they seem to have bounced back after the weekend. Blue Dream is growing strong branches and is really starting to push out new shoots in the middle of the canopy. I was planning on topping again this week, but will probably delay to let her recover for a few more days. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Week 11: May 30 2021 - June 5 2021 Topped Blue Dream on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Clipped the main two branches around the 5th node. Did some light defoliation on the bottom of the plant, and removed a few fan leaves in the middle to expose more growth sites. Plant is thriving with no signs of slowing down. She is growing strong side branches and new shoots get bigger every day. Looking forward to watching this girl develop a nice canopy. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Week 14: June 20 2021 - June 26 2021 Blue Dream continues to show signs of pre-flower. Really strange because this is the only plant in my garden that is starting to flower, so it's kind of throwing me off. Keeping an eye on her to see if she will maybe re-veg, but if nothing changes in the next week or so, I'll start counting her as flowering and switch over nutrients. Plant is doing well, a few older fan leaves are starting to turn pale and wilt, so she probably needs more food overall. Other than that, no issues at all. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Week 15: June 27 2021 - July 3 2021 Hot, rainy and humid this week. Now that it's July and the plants are a few months old, I have switched over to stronger nutrients to give the plants a boost in P and K. Figure this will help as the days get shorter and the plants continue to transition into flower. Noticing a few yellowing leaves so it looks like that plants need a bit more food. I will slowly increase the nutrient dosage weekly and keep monitoring the plants. Trimmed and cleaned up the plants again over the weekend. I should have better pictures for next week's update. Blue Dream isn't growing or stretching as much anymore, looks like she won't be 5 feet tall like last year. It looks as if she has gone fully into flower, but there hasn't been a lot of bud development, either. She seems like she's in limbo right now. Plant looks healthy and has no other visual issues or problems, she has just really slowed down. I would update the diary to Flowering but I would like to see a bit more growth and development before I fully call it. Still think it's weird she flipped this early. I'm wondering now if that freak weather where we got frost for a day in late May/June stunted her. Keeping my fingers crossed for a decent return come harvest. We'll see what happens. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Week 16: July 4 2021 - July 10 2021 (Flowering Begins) Decided to call it and started counting Blue Dream in flower. Plant hasn't gotten much taller and is really starting to focus on the bud sites now. More yellowing leaves are showing up, which makes sense considering she's in flower now. I'm slowly giving her a higher dose in nutrients to feed her a bit more. Other than that, things are looking good. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Week 20: August 1 2021 - August 7 2021 Noticing a lot more dying leaves so I decided to switch to higher quality nutrients. Flushed out the plants and introduced General Hydroponics Flora Series, and GH's version of CalMag. Made a 4 L (1 gallon) mixture and fed it across the 4 plants in my garden. I realized this was not enough and a few days later I tried 1 gallon for just one plant. This seemed wasteful because a lot drained out the bottom of the pot, so I'm doing half dosage in 2-2.5 L (1/2 gallon) of water and feeding twice a week now instead of once. Let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Week 21: August 8 2021 - August 14 2021 Nutrients seem to be working well, I can say that I have noticed a difference in 2 weeks. Buds are developing nicely and she gives off strong blueberry scents. The plant seems to have gotten some color back; she looks less pale and is producing a lot of trichomes. Despite flowering much earlier than the other plants in my garden, she doesn't seem close to finishing yet. I'm checking the trichomes every other day and not even half are cloudy. I'm thinking of a late September or harvest, but we will wait and see. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Week 22: August 15 2021 - August 21 2021 Super hot and humid this last week with no rain. Been watering the plants almost daily. Blue Dream is looking great as we enter the homerun stretch. I noticed a small, small patch of bud rot on one of the colas, and decided to chop it off. Rest of the plant looks good and no other signs of rot, or other issues. Fingers crossed I caught it in time and can salvage the rest of the branch. I kept a small bud, and it looks pretty good. Don't think I'm going to try it because the plant is still full of nutrients. I think I'm going to give 1 last feed this upcoming week just because of the early cut I had to take, and hope the plant recovers. After Tuesday, I will begin to flush the plant and I hope to begin harvesting in about 2 weeks. Any comments, suggestions, or tips are more than welcome. Feel free to post below. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

@WWonder, Thanks so much! The lights I'm using aren't anything fancy. The brand name is Niello and they are 45 watts with 225 LEDs and 6-band full spectrum. I run 2 of them in my setup and bought them off Amazon for about 40 bucks each. They're great for sprouting plants and growing during veg, but I have never done a full indoor grow with them. I don't know if they would be strong enough for flower. I've had great results using them for the past 2-3 years though. Let me know if you have any other questions. Cheers.

Nice plants! Before you put them outside they had 18hours of light, now only 15.. maybe that’s the reason why they are showing signs of early flower. Good luck!

@CoastGrower, I was thinking the same thing, but this is the only plant out of 4 that's doing this. I also grew this exact strain last year under pretty much identical conditions and she didn't start flowering until mid-August. Maybe she will re-veg, but if not it is what it is. Truth be told, I'd rather harvest in September than rolling the dice with October weather. Thanks for the input and comment. Cheers!
