Germination was 100% on this Fast Buds Wedding Cheesecake. Usual method has always proven to do really well. Saw this person on YT do it and have never changed my ways either. Put steps below if anyone is curious. It's nothing crazy.
Looking forward to this grow. I love autos and cant wait to see what this one and the Green Gelato Auto look like once they're outside in the greenhouse. I've tested temps and humidity out there so far and have seen perfect conditions. More to come!
Medium is a 50/50 mix of Roots Organic x FFOF. Experimented with this last season and saw great results on Gold Leaf strain.
Germ Method I've had 100% Success With:
1. Place beans in shot glass of reg water for 24hrs.
2. Check bean 24hrs later by tapping it to see if it sinks to bottom of shot glass
3. Once bean sinks to bottom of shotglass, place bean on damp paper towel inside a large plastic bag. (common paper towel method)
4. Every 4-5hrs, I like to add fresh hot breath of air in the bag to rejuvenate the CO2 in the bag.
5. Place in dark area, plant when taproot is out a little ways.
Week 2 went well. Nothing crazy other than super rapid growth starting to happen. New branches are popping out and growing just as fast as the leaves coming out the top are.
Loving these genetics!
She’ll be going outside in the next few days where I’m sure she’ll explode.
Will post new home next week!
**Also!!** started 2x new Mephisto beans to get them ready for their home in the tent.
1x Forgotten Cookies
1x CDCL x Skywalker
Super pumped!
WK3 was a pretty huge one! Girls moved into their greenhouse outside and absolutely THRIVING in there with the humidity and temps going on in there.
She’s on Day 22 and growing incredibly fast.
Decided to LST a bit and get the girls nice and low to the ground on her beginning branches.
Also bent the main stalk roughly 90 degrees horizontal as far as I could with her elasticity she allowed me to work with.
I’ve never LST’d autos outdoors, I’ve always just let them grow but I’ll enjoy experimenting with these a good bit. The growth is just so strong and quick to ignore manipulating her a bit ;-)
No nutes have been used. She’ll start getting bloom nutes starting this week on her next watering.
More pics and updates coming up next week when we should start to see some decent flowering beginning now!
WK 4 went SUPER well!!! Both the ladies are growing incredibly fast and loving the first round of bloom nutes in them.
Marking this WK 4 as VEG still because I didn't really start to see flower-flowering going on but definitely started to see the pistils forming in the bud sites.
WK 5 started and there's already vast differences in it so WK 5 will be the first official marked WK of FLOWERING.
LST has been HEAVY and been an every day thing keeping up with them. I've been trying to get as many bud sites as possible open to the gorgeous Sun as quickly as possible before the heavy flowering begins. I probably wont mess and stress with them too much after this WK 5 is over with just so I don't piss them off. But for this gal, it looks like I'll have a solid 10x large colas forming from the LST.
Temperatures outside have been amazing, humidity is perfect and night times are only roughly 5 degrees off from day time temps. So couldn't ask for better scenarios.
Hoping to get all this done by Summer so they dont have to get stressed by the immense heat.
WK5 (Flower WK1) - TRICHOMES HAVE STARTED APPEARING!!! They’re small, but they’re there.
I was also having to do a LOT of keeping up with LST on this lady...if I don’t adjust once a day, then I’m a day behind because she’s growing so fast.
Flowers are developing nicely for its first true week of flower.
There’s sunlight touching her from 11am - 8:45pm. So she’s getting plenty of pure energy from our beautiful badass Sun.
Temperatures are 60-85 everyday and 50-70 every night. Humidity is on point and perfect as well. Couldn’t ask for better conditions for her right now.
I’m super happy with the way feeding has gone. She has taken 1/2 doses since the intro of nutes to her and she’s not shown a SINGLE sign of burn or deficiency.
Super happy with the way she’s handling them and can tell they’re really helping her pack on the weight.
She’s hungry roughly every 4x days right now. I water with 2L every time which leads to a very very tiny run off so I know watering is perfect and locked in.
Looking forward to 2nd week of flower where we start to see some serious growth! Stay tuned and thanks for reading and taking a look!
WK10 FROM SEED - WK 5 FLOWER IS COMPLETE!!! She's on D72!
I've been away for a few weeks busy with life/work, but I've added photos of the greaux throughout the last few weeks.
This plant has been smooth sailing and nothing but a breeze to greaux. She's had amazing Spring/pre-Summer weather and nothing has gone up past 85 degrees the entire greaux outside with steady calm breezes. Couldn't have asked for better conditions.
The buds are NOT as thick as I'd like them to be, but they appear to be getting thick. The trichs are starting to turn cloudy/amber and it's a very very frosty plant. Just lots of leaves rather than buds. Not sure if it's just the seed I had or what.
I have had the plant on 1/2 nutes her entire life with ZERO deficiencies through the entire greaux.
I believe the leaves are starting to begin their fade now. I can tell the lower fan leaves are getting lighter and lighter and I'm seeing it creep up the plant. SO WE'RE GETTING CLOSE PEOPLE!!!
Plans for WK11:
- finish up & cut-off bloom nutes & continue using overdrive along with the other nutes present
- start to potentially defoliate unnecessary leaves to devote energy to fattening up buds
