Ok guys so for this grow I'm using 7 dwcr 20l pots with a 20l reservoir water temp is 20c air temp is 24.5c humidity is 64% I'm using canna coco a&b nutrients 200ppm led lights 2x1000w. Now for the plants I'm using cuttings from two plants I've got the sunset sherbet and the gelato 41 as you can see in my pictures I've also tried a coco mix 70/30 for 2 of my plants (one of each) just as an experiment as I've not grown in coco before let's see what we get
Day 2
All clones are now starting to have a nice light green colour to the fan leaves and are now standing correctly. I've added one scoop of great white root enhancer to my nutrients to give the roots a better ability to take in the stuff it needs. All in all not looking bad but still early days
Day 3
Now the clones are starting to thrive in their environment I've added some mycorrhizac for root growth, liquid silicone for added growth to overall plant, cal mag strengthens stems, and some fulvic acid to give them that extra boost. All clones are looking well however I can notice a big difference between the ones in the dwc and the ones in coco. I'm watering the coco whenever it feels dry roughly about 2l a day with run off. Still early days but I'm impressed at how well the clones are bouncing back after being shipped overnight
Day 4
New pictures uploaded. Just general garden management at the moment
Day 7
Changed the water in my reservoir cleaned the filter and outlet pipe. Added nutrients to same scale as previously used and ph is now 6.5 backed the lights off and turned on both veg and bloom functions. While changing the water I noticed a few roots starting to show out of the net pots will upload some pictures soon didn't have my camera on me at the time. Coco experiment is going well been feeding g once a day roughly 2 l with run off. They are noticeably smaller than the ones in the DWC but are still growing nice
Week 2 and the clones are starting to veg nicely. Got some nice roots starting to develop in the nutrient solution so hopefully over the ne t week or so I should see some nice growth. Couple of the older fan leaves that came with the clone were starting to do more damage than good so decided to strip some and I'll do the others over the next few days
Day 10
Uploaded some more pictures of the root system these babies are developing quickly. Next feed/water change is due tomorrow so I'll up the white shark powder to help aid the root growth and I'll also increase the fulvic acid to 2mm per litre of water
Day 11
Added some shogun sumo boost at 1ml per litre and increased the cal mag 3ml per litre and increased the great white rooting powder to one and a half spoonfuls. Ok so now the plants they are looking nice and green the newer leaves have a really healthy smell of chlorophyll the older leaves that came with the clones look a bit worse for ware but are still doing more good than bad so they will stay for now. So I tried some kushman chiropractic techniques to increase strength and nutrient transfer. The first one my stomach was doing flips I was so nervous I thought I might snap the stem completely but all was good the plants dropped a little but have started to recover after only half hour in the tent. I will repeat this process once a week on the new growth
Day 13
Started to use sumo boost foliar spray at 1ml diluted with 1 litre of ph 6.5 water. Cut off some more of the damaged leaves and they are all looking back to good health after the kushman chiropractic treatment
Day 15
Got myself a ppm meter and checked my reservoir as I haven't used one during the grow I was expecting to be around the 450ppm mark but to my surprise it was at a lovely 380ppm. Solution temp is now constant at 22.2c humidity fluctuates between 55%rh and 73%rh
Day 18
so I've added two carbon dioxide bags to the grow room to give these ladies a little extra boost. Nutrients and temps have all stayed the same. Now the plants they are all growing well some better than others but that was to be expected considering I'm using clones that where half dead when I got them. So I stopped the plants and did a little defoliation
Day 20
New spider farmer ts2000 has arrived and what a piece of kit it is currently got it set to 60% will be keeping an eye on them to make sure this is not to intense for my girls. Viper 300 carbon filter kit installed and I'm very happy with the filter and the fan supplied got my intake fan set to about 20% to give a good airflow through the tent all in all very happy with my upgrades. Now the girls as you can see they are getting bigger and have bounced back after the second chiropractic treatment and the topping I did to them. I've moved my two 1000w led lights over to one side of the tent to give the coco experiment a bit more light. Not sure if I mentioned this but my tent I's 8ftx5ftx6ft. Please feel free to give me any feedback. Happy growing guys
The spider farmer 2000 is only 200 true watts. Definitely go with manufacture recommendations, but you still should be ok full power in veg. And you still could move light closer, just watch your plants, they will tell you what they want.
Had a few problems occur I've figured out I had been using the wrong feeding chart so my poor babies ended up with a few nutrient deficiencies so I've gave them an extra boost in the reservoir. The other problem was heat stress I recently upgraded my light to the spider farmer and I think I had it set to high and to close so they also have a little bit of light exposure showing on the fan leaves and stems whoops live and learn. I have tied down my two side experiment plants however I have left the hydro ones for another week due to the stress they have recently been through. I will upload the pictures later on
Ok guys so as you can see I decided to do some lst on a couple of the girls the reason behind this being that they where getting a little heat stressed so by bending and tying down the main stem I've reduced the height and also opened the canopy to allow more airflow. As previously mentioned I had a deficiency problem when I looked in my reservoir I had a build up of gunk so I've emptied the water cleaned the buckets and adjusted my feed to allow for more calmag and I've also added extra liquid seaweed to give them that bit of a boost. Let's see what the next few days brings.
Day 27
These ladies have been tied down and are looking good got a nice bit of new growth. The two coco experiments have been fed yesterday I gave them a smaller feed as I gave them a heavy dose last time. I've uploaded a picture of the feed mix I used
So as you can see my girls suffered a bit in week 3 but are on the mend. I've continued to LST them tying down the new growth sites and either tucking or removing the fan leaves to allow light to penetrate to the new growth sites I'm going to veg for 2/3 more weeks then flip them
Just did a complete water change and stripped down the whole system to clean the water pipes air pipes and air stones. After visiting my local hydroponics shop they recommended a organic ph up and down which I thought sounded good less chemicals in my grow what's not to like about that. However once I had used them I quickly realised they had issues I was constantly checking and adjusting my ph levels as they would drop to 5.3 and over the course of a few hours would rise to 7.4 upon checking my water pump I found my filters where completely blocked so I flushed them and put them back in and it seemed to work fine until the next day when I checked again and yet again they where blocked. I think they had reacted with my other nutrients and caused a brown funky sludge. I have scrubbed each bucket and reservoir to get rid of the gunk then used disinfect on all the equipment and the grow room. I've uploaded a video so you can see the condition my girls where living in. Hope this helps anyone in their future grows
Week 6 so these girls are getting flipped on Friday will give them 24h darkness and change the water and feed them bloom and a little calmag during the stretch I also have some bud blood to use and some flower bomb so I'll be incorporating them during weeks 3-5 and 7-8
Happy growing
So I've just lollipoped the girls installed the scrog net and moved the autos into their own room. Time to flip so 24h dark started. I've also changed my reservoir and I'm now using Dutch pro bloom a&b 300ml per 100l I also added some canna cal mag 100ml per 100 litre of water( my dwcr system holds 96 litres)
That's all for now guys and gals. Happy growing
The girls have been in 12/12 for 6 days now and they are hungry I'm feeding 350ml of Dutch pro A&B 100 ml of canna calmag every 2 days I'm checking my ppm and within the 24 hours they are coming inbetween 350&475. The water consumption has drastically increased my reservoir is half full in 2 days where as before I only had to fill/ change water ever 7-11 days. Every day I'm going in and tucking the new growth under the scrog to maintain an even canopy so far all is looking good with these ladies.
That's all for now happy growing guys and gals
So we are in week 2 of flower I ran out of Dutch pro and my hydro shop didn't have any in stock so I had to swap to canna 450ml A&B I've also added some bud blood.
So today I did some defoliation to anything below my scrog net and tucked some of the bigger fan leaves to expose the new bud sites. I also raised my light a few inches to allow the ladies to grow into it.
21/5/21
The girls are growing fast I did some defoliation 2 days ago and I had to repeat today
26/5/21
Took some fan leaves off that where blocking bud sites only a small handful needed to be removed, I gave them a feed ppm 946 ph 6.3, bud sites are looking nice and healthy I've got plenty of air flow throughout my tent, have yet to notice any aroma but still very early days.
That's all for now gays and gals happy growing and pleasant smoking ;)
Ok guys so its week 4 of flower I've had some issues with mildew and had to do a drastic defoliation session (pictures will be up tomorrow as lights went out as I cut off the last leaf) once all infected leaves had been removed I sprayed the girls with some foliar spray.
I've also noticed a few of my buds have their pistils starting to amber which has me worried as they are only in week 4 and are really small(any advice would be appreciated) I've put some pictures of these buds up and I will give a full update with pictures soon.
I also fed the girls today ppm 947 ph 6.1
That's all for now guys and gals happy growing
Week 4 of flower and I wasn't getting any new growth on my buds so i decided to add some big bud and bud candy into my nutrient reservoir, now in week 5 heading into week 6 and the trichome production is looking nice and frosty theres a slight earthy smell in the tent but nothing drastic, the buds have gained some size but not much
Ok guys so its week 6 of flower and I must say these girls are getting frosty even the lower fan leaves are sticky as hell when I'm removing them, the buds themselves are starting to get nice and firm and the resin production is really coming along, theres a nice lemon/citrus aroma coming from the sunset sherbet and a real earthy skunk smell coming from the gelato.
Ok now the nutes I'm using canna A&B canna calmag and advanced nutrients overdrive topped off with some advanced nutrients bud candy ppm in reservoir is 776
That's all for now guys and gals happy growing
Ok guys my air system failed so I had to chop early as there was only 2 weeks left I decided to dry it and use it for edibles.
So I made some nerd ropes. They taste great and pack a bit of a punch
