100% germination! Humidity was low the first evening & night. Our humidifier couldn’t quite handle the load. Needed another ten percent rise. Brought in a second humidifier & all is well. Installed a 110 AC unit preparing for Missouri summer. Today is the day after planting & currently there are 7 Critical Purple’s above ground & one Tangerine Dream! More green broke dirt! 7 after 24 hours & more today. A few more & well have our first crop growin! Heat hasn’t been an issue, air conditioner counters great in shed at upper 70’s outside.
Made it to WEEK TWO & officially in VEG!!
Plants are thriving & happy. Today they got their first gallon of water at one time. The plants that popped on day one are the largest. Late poppers are on track from when they broke dirt. Two or three that were held together by pods are most likely stunted as they are the smallest. Two healthy & vigorously trying to make up for growth lost. One may not make it but still hangin in. Temps & humidity holding at desired levels. Lowered lights to twenty inches. God is great!
Plants didn’t like lights at 20”. After two days showed new growth but low & bushy. Leaves Hagen to taco. Raised lights back to 24”
Plants loved a gallon of water each! Topped six & began LST mainlining. Tied one tall enough to bucket for LST. They don’t like temps above 82 either.....picky lil fuckers lol.
MUCH RESPECT & MANY THANKS
to you experienced growers who paved the way!
Week 3 in the books & that’s thanks to an fathomable amount of research & information made available by all of you in these groups, grow diaries, & many many more! Thank you!!
Pics we’re takin AFTER being Topped, lightly & selectively defoliated & beginning Low Stress Training half the plants using tying/wiring to bucket method. Also, Hung Exhale Co2 bag in room today.
Began mainlining on the other half.
I know your supposed to remove any foliage under where mainline begins (Third Node in this case.)
Being mine & my brothers first grow; I was honestly to damn scared to commit to the “Clip” lol.
WEEK FOUR!!
Plants have been responding amazingly to LST & defoliating. They’ve doubled in size & are super healthy. Fifteen survivors with a couple runts stunted from stuck seed pods. They’re healthy & going to produce. Began using Fish shit at week 3 (April 17th) at 2.5 ML. To a gallon of water. Each plant receives half a gallon. Watering every four to five days. Started feeding Fox Farm Grow Big & Big Bloom at 1/4 strength to a gallon of water. Each plant received half a gallon. Put up SCROG net & plants have reached the net height. Expect to begin to feed through net this week. Going to watch them close for any signs of trouble after introducing feed. Next watering will be water & fish shit only. So far things couldn’t be better. God has been with us. The shed has a low odor but getting stronger. Can’t wait to see the growth over the next couple of weeks! God is Good!
Week five brought out the net. LST has kept the girls short & bushy. Net was put up on lowest setting. Happy Frog soil amendments have to be about exhausted. Began using complete Fox Farm Soil nutes at 1/4 strength & fish shit to re-condition soil. Defoliating twice a week & girls have more & more to give. These plants have showed zero signs of stress from defoliating. Seems to inspire vigorous growth. At five & a half weeks some plants began pre-flower.
Pre-Flower began for a few at 5 1/2 weeks. The rest at 6 weeks. I’ve learned autos or at least these strains are resilient & can take abuse. They’ve responded to LST, defoliating twice a week, & bending & tucking. They literally bounce back overnight are thriving. Stank has definitely ramped up. Opening doors allows the nose a strong but lovely odor. Stopped Fox Farm Gro Big & now only using Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, & fish shit at a quarter strength each. God is good!
Week nine saw the girls at two & a half weeks into flower. Environment holding steady & plants are thriving & happy! Autos damn sure have a mind of their own. Three girls are damn near ready to have to take tops off of! We’re not ready lol.
First cuts!! Couldn’t have been more excited!
However we had to turn brothers closet into emergency dry room lol. Buds hangin in roughly 60 degrees & 60% humidity. This is a late update. Buds took seven days to Dry. Then in jars. Got 2 zips.
Stopped all nutes & water only.
Week eleven has us at 2 OZ’s in the jars, soooooo much more has been hanging 7 days. Dried & trimmin tomorrow. 8 plants still growin but taking most of those tomorrow.
In separate shop we’ve built a dry room. Brothers closet was a “quick fix” but never permanent. Autos do what they want when they want. Got 110 air conditioner & 25 pint dehumidifier keepin things in the vicinity of 60 temp & 60 humidity. Pics coming soon! We’ll be moving everything to the dry room in the morning.
This strain seemed to grow on track with stats. No deficiencies at all. Healthy plants with heavy trichomes. Was disappointed the purple never pulled out & showed off in the plants. I seriously feel that was due to my lights. I ran three Maxsisun pb2000’s & was happy with the lights. They grew well but did not pull the color out. Upgrading to pb4000’s for next run.
