This is now my 3nd attempt at this strain by ripper seeds. First time I did up 3 seeds and only 1 popped, and it went mutant on me. It grew to about 10 inchs and then stopped growing I sted it just started growing more and more stems. Wife started calling it my hydra plant. Then my 1 year old son got his hands on it and that was the end of its story. Second attempt was in my aerogarden and the seed didn't grow into the sponge properly.
So now here we are... attempt number 3 and so far so good. 1 plant is a bit weaker then the other 3 but hopefully it'll make it. Currently there in my 3x3 tent with a few other plants before it gets moved to the 4x4 set up. Hopefully by next week they well be moved to there main location.
Happy growing everyone.
So throw them into the autopots about 4 days ago. The stopped growing for about 2 days but then they bomb started up again. I ended up swapping out the philzon cree cob light out for the spider farmer SF-4000 because the light quality wasn't enough for what I'd like it to be at this stage. And because I'm running Co2 in this tent I've got the plants from my 3x3 hanging out in there with them sucking up as much Co2 as they can get. If everything goes good then in 2 weeks I'll be switching to flower but we well have to wait and see how the plants do.
Happy growing everyone
Been a rough week. The temperature where I live in the last week has increased a hell of a lot. We went from 12-14c days to 22-23c day temperatures over night and because I'm still in veg and run my tent from 2pm to 8am ive been having heat issues in my tents. Most have the plants haven't shown to much stress, but the one that has been struggling since I started is showing some. I've got maybe another week of veg before I switch them to flower so hopefully I can keep them going strong.
So yesterday was the last day of Veg and tonight well be the first day of flower. I made some massive changes to the grow room to battle the high heat. Added 3 12w AC Infinity Muffin fans to the window and the temperature dropped a lot. Then I swapped out the SF-4000 for my philzon "2000w" cree cob light and just had it on veg light. Should have done it sooner but we live and we learn.
Filled up the autopot 50L tank on Monday with just the 3 part jungle juice and a bit of miicrobial mass and the plants started drinking the water from the tray right away. 3 of the plants are at the 12" and 1 is at 10", usually like my plants to be closer to the 16"-20" area so it'll be interesting to see how big they get at just a foot when flipped.
Happy growing everyone.
So the plants were showing a small amount of stress after switching from veg to bloom. Think the massive sudden increase in light quality hit them hard and needed a day or two to bounce back from it. Brain cake 1 and 2 are the smallest in in tent at about 14" and brain cake 3 and 4 are both 18" and have gotten extremely bushy. I'm hopping they well all hit about the 2ft mark before there growth slows down but at this rate I think 1 and 2 well come close but 3 and 4 might be a bit closer to the 3 ft mark by the time that happens. There both growing a lot faster then the other 2.
Well that's all for this week, happy growing everyone.
You might have noticed that my plants got a bit of a hair cut this week lol. All week everything went great next to the fact on Saturday night I ran out of Co2 and the grow store is closed on Sunday so they went a full day without Co2. Also dropped the Co2 PPM down to 1200 high to 900 low to increase the longevity of my 20 pound tank. Only have enough for maybe 1 more refill before I've exhausted my budget on this grow. Next to that nothing new with this week.
Happy growing everyone.
So a few days after I did the leaf strip I noticed that on the 2 smaller plants that there was a bit of yellowing in the leaves. So I pulled a all nighter to see if the tent was getting hot as I was running both a SF-4000 and SF-2000 in a 4x4 tent. The tent wasn't getting to hot, think it peeked at 26.5c, less then what my 3x3 tent was getting up to. The only 2 thing I could think was causing the issue was the reservoir temperatures because it was dropping down to 17.5c or the light intensity. So I removed the SF-2000 and ordered a 50w tank heater.
The reservoir temperatures are now staying between 22c and 24c and aren't fluctuating as bad as it was before. The tent temperature has lowered a bit after removing the SF-2000. I also sprayed them down with a mix of 500ml water and .5ml of Advanced Nutrients Revive to see if it helped at all. Now since I've made all these changes I haven't noticed if it's gotten any better, bit it doesn't look like it's gotten any worse yet also. All I know is this well definitely effect my overall yeild of my plants. Oddly the only one that doesn't look effected by what's going on is the tallest plant in the tent.
Sizes
B.C #1 - 41"
B.C #2 - 38"
B.C #3 - 33"
B.C #4 - 29"
B.C#4 is the one that looks the worst rite now and has been the runt since day 1. B.C#2 might be the second tallest but it's showing a lot of stress rite now. It went from looking really good, to yellow, upwards claw leaves in just a few short days.
Well that's everything for now. Happy growing everyone
Holy jungle infestation batman!!! The buds haven't blown up in size like the other tent but they have grow expandability, well all but the front left one lol truly the runt of the tent there. I lowered the PPM of both the Co2 and feed this week because the plants looked a little worse for wear compared to my other tent. The 2 on the right are just over 5ft when you include the pot and trey. If this was my other tent I'd be screwed for space by now. Luckily this is a 4x4x7 tent so ive got some more room to spare.
Even tho that one plant is small its still got a nice amount of bud growing on it. Be interesting to see what kind of yeld I get from the little guy when it's done compared to the other 3. I'm hoping the buds on the plants might fatten up a bit over the next week.
Plant size...
Brain cake #1 - 50"
Brain cake #2 - 50"
Brain cake #3 - 45.5"
Brain cake #4 - 31.75
Well that's all for now, can't wait to see what the next week brings.
Happy growing everyone!!!
Fucking trees!!! Plants just broke my indoor plant height record by 2" now. I don't think this is going to brake my gram records tho. Compared to my other tent the buds are a lot smaller and then 2 of the plants have had issues since the start and don't have very many bud locations on them. But who knows they might suprising me at the end of the grow.
Plant sizes
Brain cake #1 - 51"
Brain cake #2 - 53"
Brain cake #3 - 48"
Brain cake #4 - 32"
Well that's all for this tent. Happy growing everyone's!!!
When I started this I had purchased a ton of bamboo sticks so that I could set the tents up with that instead of nets. Just after I started flower I was to set them up but I didn't. Don't really have a good reason for why not, just didn't do it. Well now ots biting me on the ass because 2 of my plants are starting to fall over from the weight.... I put 2 bamboo sticks across the front to keep the one from falling out of the tent amd one in the pots holding the 2 up. But I can't get one down the middle because I didn't leave myself much room to work with how the plants grew..... well live and learn.
Next to that one plant is turning yellow like crazy but also has some dark colors starting to show in the leafs. I've tried everything trying to correct the plant but nothing has worked.
All 4 plants are super sticky and the smell is nice. Heat the last 2 days has been a massive issue. Day temp has been hitting the 30s and at night it's o ly dropping down to the low 20s. Tents have been at 24.5 lights off and almost hitting 30c both nights.
Plant height hasn't change much the last week. Maybe just over a inch each.
Well that's all for this tent
Happy growing everyone!!!!
So today is officially the first day of flush. 3 of the plants look good. 1 of the 3 could look a bit better, but 1 of my plants is a goner. I've had issues with this one plant since I started this grow. First it was struggling to germinating, then it was slow during the seeding portion and had always been then runt of the grow. I don't know if maybe somewhere down the line it got nutrient lock or something bet the plant started to yellow. First the leafs, then the steams. The buds were getting a nice color to them but they also started to look like they were foxtailing a bit. So going to use this plant as a test of taste between a plant that was flushed and one that wasn't.
I had to do some quick thinking a few days back because 2 of my plants were falling over like a couple of drunks. Set up more bamboo around the tent so that each plant only has a 2x2 area to grow in. Next grow is going to be pre set up so I don't have to do work like this near the end of flower. Lot of changes going to happen the next grow because I won't be rushed like I have been with this grow.
Hoping to be able to crop in about a week so that itll be good enough to smoke at the end of the month for Canada Day, but if not then it won't be to big of a deal. Really looking forward to this crop being done tho.
Well that's all growmies. So happy growing everyone!!!
Everything is looking done. Been checking when lights turn on and just before you go out and the trenchomes are looking full and starting to turn amber. So first thing tomorrow there all going to get chopped down.
Well that's all for this week
Happy growing everyone.
Harvest time!!!! So the plants got chopped down a few days ago and then yesterday I did a big strip on them. Usually I wait tell I'm about to jar them before I start removing leaves but because of the sheer number of them and the higher humidity in the tent I decided to do it early.
There going to hang for another day before I clean them up and put them all into my drying rack. Then it'll be time to cure and that'll take awhile. So might be more then a week before I put up the harvest numbers and everything.
Happy growing everyone.
Buds really started to grow in size the last few weeks and the trenchome coverage was so massive that the fan leaves started to get and bend inward from it.
So after I chopped them down I hang dried them for 24 hours before I did a bit of a leaf strip. Then continued to hang dry them for another 4 days. After that I cut and cleaned up the buds and put them into my drying rack for 24 hours before I started to cure. The extreme heat we had the last week and a bit dried them more then I liked before I started to cure them. So far they have only been curing for a few days but from what ive tried of them they taste a lot better then previous plants at this stage. Happy with the results to a point. Would have been nice if all 4 plants had made it to the end instead of just 3 of them. Well better luck next time and happy growing everyone.
@Guerilla_outdoor_gromie93,nice thanks for the tip for ripper. See the new strains they got. All these crazy crosses? No pictures of them but they sound great 👍🤜🤛
@Rock_n_Roll_Randy, yea next grow tho I'm cutting back on what I use. This was a side by side grow with my 3x3 tent (mixed tent 2 diary) that's just hand fed and less bottles and it turned out looking very nice.
@@Waylate, yea going to be a rush grow but luckly when it comes to hang drying and curing, I can just relocate then to the travel trailer for that portion.
