Ok so the grow bug has bitten me and I may be getting in over my head here, but how do ya learn without trial and error. This will be my 3rd grow but first time outdoors but it is the time to do it if I'm going to or wait another year so here we go. I plan on running these ladies outside while I run sister plants indoors for a grow comparison. I need suggestions on pest control for outdoor plants if anyone has any, thank you very much and wish me luck with these ladies, i prolly need it.
*Update Sunday 04/04 - The Blue Dream and the Gorilla Glue have nice tails this morning and the Blue Cheese Auto Fem finally has cracked, I expect a tail today. Will give them a day or so to develop before I put them in the soil.
The Blue Dream and Gorilla Glue came up perfectly and look good. The Blue Cheese Auto Fem did not break soil. I tried two of them but no luck, it's ok though because that's the nature of "nature". Weedseedsexpress.com has generously offered straight out to replace them and any others that may not germinate later ( I didn't even have to get mad at them, they just offered, maybe I wanted an argument, maybe I wanted to complain, but nope, they just fixed it from the start. what a concept. lol Anyway so this is now just a two strain diary but I started two more of the Blue Cheese Auto's which I will run a separate journal for.
Everything was looking good until yesterday when I knocked over my Blue Dream and completely exposed her small delicate root ball. I repotted her quickly and gave her a drink. I have faith she'll bounce back just fine. This morning she looks good with no signs of distress thankfully. All good on the GG too.
They are coming along a little slowly I think but no worries they have plenty of time before they are going outside. Time for transplant and all is well.
whoa they really took off on me after the transplant. I ended up topping them even though they are going outside, not sure if that was wise or not but I really worried about having 12' plants in my yard. Not sure whats going on with the one leaf in picture 4,5, & 6?
These girls are looking great and I have had no problems to this point. I began lite feedings this week I have found a spot to put them outside and plan to put them outside this week. I need to get some neem oil so I can begin my IPM before they go out though.
I finally put these girls outside. *Pro tip from amateur grower - don't put plants in direct sunlight when coming from a low light led. I burned a couple leaves before I realized my mistake, but hey my next batch I put out didn't get burnt, so lesson learned. Anyway, I'm continuing a regular feeding schedule and move them around regularly to follow the light. They are coming alive now. I plan on transplanting them into the ground in a couple weeks. Thanks for checking out my grow.
Soooo, sorry for the delay on update. As you can see these girls are well into flower. I hadn't planned on it but when I brought them outside and left them they just started blooming. So I made a make-shift dark room in my basement and carry them in and out everyday...it works. The girls are looking beautiful and healthy and I'm doing my best to stay on a feeding schedule, but honestly my amateur-ass still looks at the plant and gives nutes when I think they need it...schedule be damned lol, I use half strength nutes so that's prolly why the 'schedule' don't work too well. Anyway, thank ya for checkin out my grow and stay safe. I'll update next week.
These girls look great to me. They are a lot hungrier and thirsty outside so I have essentially doubled my nutes and watering. They were looking hungry for a while and I hope this does the trick. I took about 10 yellow leafs off each plant but other than that nothing else. I carry them inside and put them to bed at 7pm and carry them back out at 7am. I am amazed at the difference between the indoor and outdoor plants. There is nothing compared to true sunlight... Thanks for checking out my grow.
Final 2 weeks for these ladies. No more carrying them in and out but it was worth it, the sun beats any led. I flushed them 2 days ago and will only water from now on. I believe I went too light with my nutes this grow so I will take that knowledge into my next grow.
