This will be my very 1st MEPHISTO GENETICS grow. Germination was 100% on this and actually germinated WAY faster than others...
I also have a diary of her Meph Forgotten Cookies sister as well! They’re a day apart!
Usual method has always proven to do really well. Saw this person on YT do it and have never changed my ways either. Put steps below if anyone is curious. It's nothing crazy.
Looking forward to this grow. I love autos and cant wait to see what this one and the CDLC x Skywalker turn out to smell and smoke like. I've tested temps and humidity out there so far and have seen perfect conditions. More to come!
Medium is a 50/50 mix of Roots Organic x FFOF. Experimented with this last season and saw great results on Gold Leaf strain.
Germ Method I've had 100% Success With:
1. Place beans in shot glass of reg water for 24hrs.
2. Check bean 24hrs later by tapping it to see if it sinks to bottom of shot glass
3. Once bean sinks to bottom of shotglass, place bean on damp paper towel inside a large plastic bag. (common paper towel method)
4. Every 4-5hrs, I like to add fresh hot breath of air in the bag to rejuvenate the CO2 in the bag.
5. Place in dark area, plant when taproot is out a little ways.
Week 1 of my first Meph grow is in the books! This girl is growing beside her sister - Forgotten Cookies, who is 1-2 day behind her.
This was a freebie seed from Mephisto!!!
Switching to 20/4 next week from the 24/0 she’s on right now.
Nothing else for now, but super excited to see how this plant grows!
Stay tuned for next week!
WK 2 was right on track with solid growth. Could’ve been faster but it’s still where I’d expect it.
Super stoked to see how this CDLC x SW turns out. The genetics seem to be solid so far and will probably begin her first round of nutes and LST.
She’s outperforming her sister next to her which is a Forgotten Cookies.
Things should get interesting here this week and next. Thank you to those viewing and see ya next week!
Feel free to post questions. I’ll be more than happy to answer!
What’s going on greauxers?!
Apologies on missing the last couple weeks. Time has slipped away with other busy things.
WK 6 FROM SEED - WK 2 OF FLOWER UPDATE!!!
Where to start off…well the plants have certainly grown a LOT since last posting. They have DEFINITELY started to flower.
I started some pretty serious LST on week 3x of the plant and damn near put it completely bent over on its side 180 degrees horizontally even with soil. This is the LOWEST I’ve ever trained and honestly, it’s paid off immensely with being in a tent and limited space.
I have also trimmed/lollipop’d ALL branches up at least 3-4x nodes to get the nice and thick buds to form at the top.
Nutes are currently at 1/2 strength. I’ve found my autos I grow to respond beautifully to 1/2 bloom nutes starting wk 5 and on…
Lastly, can we talk about the PISTILS on this baby?! Mephisto has got it going on with the genetics and seeing the size of the bud sites and the amount of pistils already popping out, this plant is going to be a MASSIVELY dense bud.
Can’t wait and I’ll keep it updated! Ask any questions in the comments!
WK8 FROM SEED / WK4 FLOWER IS COMPLETE!!! She's on D56!
I can't say enough positive things about this strain from Mephisto!!! This is actually the VERY FIRST bean from Mephisto I've done and I am a fan for life now.
This plant has been smooth sailing and nothing but a breeze to greaux. The colas are THICKER than my other greauxs, they've got more hairs than my other greauxs, and the response to the nutes I usually give has been spot on.
The buds are getting thick, and the trichs are starting to appear!!!
No real smell as of yet, but I'd imagine that will change towards the end of this wk5 flower.
The leaves are oddly also growing perfectly around each other after the initial LST in it's beginning. I have managed to keep the plant to a 6" or less canopy height. It's the lowest LST I've ever pulled off.
The benefits of redistributing the energy to all colas evenly has been KEY.
Plans for WK5 FLOWER:
- continue bloom nutes
- start to potentially defoliate unnecessary leaves to devote energy to fattening up buds
