She's looking good. I was a little worried that by changing the water it'd stress he rout, but all seems tohave worked out ok. There's not a lot of height on her yet, but she's defitely added some tis week, so perhaps all is just fine. Tent is retaining quite a bit of heat, so have left it slightly open to try to manage the temperature a bit.
What a difference a week can make. Significant growth this week, so guessing that changing the water has been a good thing to do between grows. Still lots to learn. She looks strong enough and unstressed enough to take a little LST soon.
My worries about this little beauty not thriving or blossoming were unfounded. She's doubled in size this week, and is looking like a champion. The environment seems to suit her, and flowering is very much underway. I have high hopes for this grow. I think she's just about ready for a little bit of deoliation, and some training, but will give her a few more days.
She continues to grow well. I trimmed her back a bit towards the start of the week, and did some LST. No evidence of stress so looks like all continues as well as it can. Flowering is starting to look good too.
All is well with this RQS Green Gelato Auto. Flowering is looking pretty good, and I guess there's a few more weeks to go as she fattens up. Conditions have changed and it's quite a lot warmer than it has been recently, so hope there's not too much stress. LST has spread things about a bit, so all good.
I need more space. I like my tent, and it's the only one I can use in the space I have, but I cannot get the lamp distance to be far enough away. I've started experimenting with tilting the pots to about a 45 degree angle to make use of the width of the tent, and reduce the height, but I'm not sure there's much more I can do with what I have. It doesn't help that the hydro adds height. I suppos it'll all just have to do as it is.
That said, and excluding the fact that there is significant burn on the top leaves, it's all looking pretty good. Buds are starting to fatten up, and I guess I'm a couple of weeks away from harvest.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. What a disasterous week. Temperatures and humidty has shot up, and she's just not coping with the the heat in the tent (43c), and so I've takent the decision to chop a week or so early. Not the end of the world, and I'm still hopeful that the sticky buds have ripened up enough. It's not at all a write off, but it it is a disappointment not to let her hit peak. Glass half full, and all that: at least she's started the dry and cure journey whilst still on the stem. :) Might knock it on the head for the season, and wait for things to cool off again. That or figure out how to manage the temperatures and even use it as an opportunity to find a solution that maintains the environment to a set of parameters. Looking for the Goldilocks solution - not too hot, not too cold, just right. Was in a rush to get her chopped and recovered to the best of my ability, but will add photos to the harvest section.
OK, so this is long overdue, but the quality of the harvest, even with the near-disastrous lamp burn, was exquisite. A hard-hitting proper stoned sensation which I remember from the 90's.
Very happy with the quality, even with the damage I did. I'll give myself a B-. Weights are less than I was hoping for, but plenty enough for me though.
I have two Green Gelato Autos in my current grow and one of them went slow so I put her in the garden to do her own thing. This is truly a very tasty strain, good luck with the rest of the growth!
