Day 17 Alrighty! Rough start week three. Tried my first attempt at FIMing a few days ago, I was super paranoid but it looks like the gals made it through. Had a random heat wave come through and the temperature in my tent shot up to 31C. A few plants suffered from some heat stress and the leaves are curling up. It seems as though the Candy Cane took the brunt of it, and does not like the heat. One Early Miss also suffered, but the others are doing just fine. The next day the temperature shot down to 16C, and the tent returned to 20-25C. My next purchase after my strip lights from the LED Tech Store, is clearly going to be an AC unit (maybe before, bloody Ontario springs can never make up their mind. Been hitting them with 1/2 strength nutes, and probably on the verge of over watering. No signs yet but I know my over ambition noob complex is toeing that line. I am starting to see some issues I am going to run into. Some plants are progressing much faster than others so I am going to try and come up with a management plan for that. My big plants could take more light, but will fry the others -Maybe I will prop them up on something to get them closer. I also attempted FIMing a few days ago, I hope I did it right. Day 20 Another week done. Have not watered since the last update. Tried my hand at some LST on the larger plants and despite being a total newb it seems to have been successful (feel free to comment otherwise). Lots of new tops coming up on my prize Train Wreck. This story is not without woe however. That heat wave really set some plants back. The first one (an Early Miss) seems stunted and the foliage does not look particularly awesome. The last photo (Candy Cane), well I don't know where to start. It stretched like mad, leaves are all curled up, and looks nothing like the other Candy Canes. The new growth seems to be healthy. I tried everything on this girl, reducing the light, giving it a dark period, water, etc. Hopefully they all start bouncing back. I am finding it difficult to juggle lights around the different plants stages. Many seem to want a lot of light, and others seem to want less. Ive moved the leaf curlers to the edge of the tent where they will get less, but to no avail. Anyone got some advice, post in the comments. On to week 4 tomorrow, happy growing!

Got my Bluelab EC/ppm meter in today! Once I had it calibrated I decided to test my tap water. It came out to 420ppm, I shit you not... God wants me to grow pot! Unfortunately this is also a little high as I decided to test my ppm with my nutes. Note: this water hasn't been left out to evaporate chlorine or anything. Using the Dual Fuel x Terpinator schedule found here: https://mygreenplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Dual-Fuel-Terp-Feed-Chart.pdf I took 1 Litre of tap water, and added the nutes for week 3 -2ml Dual Fuel 1 and 2 (I dont have Vitathrive, totally forgot it at the grow store despite writing a list.) Well my ppms shot to almost double of the recommended amount of 850pmm. I am really starting to see why many people struggle with Ntox, etc if they dont use a ppm meter and account for what is in the actual water! To combat this I will probably lug 5 gals water from the grocery store until I splurge on an RO system. Maybe even a cheap Brita faucet filter might bring it down? Tell me what you think!

Sorry to hear you have such bad water. Unfortunately those cheap brita filter won't help much. For the amount of plants you plan growing, you are better off looking for an affordable RO System.
