Went for the cotton wool makeup pads. 3 for 3 purple bud popped. The blue dream auto should be good to go tomorrow hopefully. I didn’t start it til a couple of days after the purple bud. I’ve put 2 purple bud in 12l airports with the other in a normal pot. The blue dream is going in an airpot. My latitude is 55. I’ve done a bit of research and have a general plan, my expectations aren’t too high for this round, I’m hoping to learn enough to make the next run work out better( probably start in 6 weeks another 4 plants) I’m interested by the challenge and looking forward to the process. Feel free to criticise anything you think I’m doing wrong

The girls seem to be doing ok. After reading a bit about first time growers overwatering I’ve resisted. They’ve had a spray every other day, and maybe 100ml each today (day 7). The weather has been really good so they’ve been outside for a couple of hours each day, then back to the window sill overnight. Hopefully see some real growth this week and will consider putting them in the greenhouse overnight next week if the weather is favourable if not they can visit during the day.

Happy with everything so far, it’s been cold so they aren’t out overnight. I’ve given them their first taste of blackstrap molasses today. I’m being fairly conservative with watering(I think) they are all looking healthy, I’m hoping they will really start to shoot up over the next couple of weeks. I think they will be indoors overnight for at least another week looking at the weather

Girls are looking good still, I’m bringing them in overnight. Started with some LST on 2 of them, I’ve left 2 au natural just to edge my bets as it’s all new and I’m keen to learn what works well for me given my growing conditions etc. I’m interested to see the differences

Slight yellowing of leaf tips. Very little and plants are looking generally healthy. They are in bio bizz all mix! And theyve had one feed of fish mix and 2 of molasses I’m watering with rain water. Not too worried but would be good to know what is causing it

Leaves tips yellowing or getting slightly clear white ? Plants looks good, check the EC levels of the drain on next watering, at this stage it should be around 700ppm (1.1ms)

Ok hard to say for sure w/o a picture but in general, so if its outer leaftips on topleafs only it could be lightburn if you had a lot of sun suddenly. But outdoors its very rare unless you had a heatwave in a warm climate. So fishmx can be very potent. You van burn young plants easely, Flush your plants with lukewarm water fast until you have a lot of run- off. Then let your plants dry for at least 3 / 4 days maybe more, until top seems dry again, then slowly start feeding again, very easy on the fishmix, which is very high in nitrogen.

The lower leaf looks like it went to sleep resting on the wet media. The other spots just look like drops of water or other liquid that’s been magnified by the sun. Looking great and happy growing!!!

Definitely into flowering stage now! I think the untrained purple and the blue dream were into flower last week. The untrained purple has really shot up this week! 10cm+ . They are all looking healthy still. I’m really interested to see the difference between trained and not. I’ve been very tempted to prune them a little bit have resisted as it’s my first time and I don’t want to over stress/rock the boat too much as I think things are going well. Gonna pop another 3 in the next couple of weeks and might prune one of them.... I think I’m going to treat them to some bloom this week! I think I’ve resisted the urge to over feed and water quite well so far.

Yellowing of lower leaves, from the stem working towards the tips. It’s been hot and they’ve been home alone for 5 days with just one water on the 3rd day. They had a small amount of bloom just before I left! During veg they were on fish mix, but not very much (1/2 dose).

Hi. I think your plant might be a bit hungry. Nothing to worry about, just increase your nutrient strengths on next feed.

Left them home alone for 5 days! Got the mother in law to give them a drink on day 3. I’m pretty happy with how things are going ( not that I know much) returned home to find some yellowing of lower leaves see grow question. Hashy and inspire me’s answers make total sense as I know I’ve been fairly conservative with food and water as over doing it seem to be the first timers downfall. Gave them a good bloom feed and will see how things go! They are definitely becoming more thirsty. Weather has been great this week, I’m loving the greenhouse grow. Starting to get excited!

Think I’ve managed to sort my yellow leaf problem, they were hungry! Upped the bloom and threw in a bit of fish mix! Fucked up and gave them a huge feed of fish mix thinking it was bloom! Wasn’t even baked. Flushed them and it seems to have worked, no signs of nute burn, and the leaves seem to be recovering( defo not getting worse) I’m a bit further on than I thought due to being slack with the diary. Time fly’s when your having fun. Expectation is building! Gonna pop another 3 seeds next week. Really enjoying it. Got a lot to learn

Can’t seem to shake the yellowing leaves! I think it’s too soon for the plants to be naturally doing it...? Thought they were hungry but after upping food they are showing slight signs of nute burn. One plant is noticeably further on than the others, guidelines say 12/14 weeks. I think she will be fine, with another 2 weeks ish.... it’s the others I’m slightly worried about. They could need 3/4 weeks so the yellowing leaf could be more of a problem?? I’ve embraced technology and got a ph pen! Was surprised to find our water (from a spring) was 10.2! Run off is coming out at 6.4 though.... I’m presuming run off is more important??

I would say a slight nitrogen deficiency, but at this stage of flowering adding any extra nitrogen fertilizer should be at half strength to avoid burning. Hope this helps, Organoman.

Could be a ph problem. Is the ph in range, if not it may be blocking essential nutrients out.

Very happy all told! Had some very wet weather towards the end, and was hit by bud rot!! I probably lost about 20% of the harvest. I imagine bud rot is fairly common in a northern Uk greenhouse grow! Will deploy the fan more as harvest time approaches next time. I was a victim of my own success in that it was the really big buds that suffered! I think the buds could defo have been denser, and I have possibly left a little too much on after the trim, but it’s all been a huge learning experience. It’s not cured yet, so not sure on the smoke! Due to the bud rot I should have a little bit of everything, some was quite late, and very amber and some was probs a bit early! The tester I have had was pretty heavy in a good way! Will try some of the early stuff tonight to see how it compares! Also have lots of trim for baking with, I cant wait to sample some edibles! I’ve really enjoyed it hopefully round 2 goes as well or better....

@OutdoorRebelGenetics, Awesome, I’ll follow with interest. It will be good to have something to cross reference and compare to. Mine are currently on the window sill, I’m putting them out during the day a bit and will see how temps are before putting the out full time, I’m hoping to get them out in a couple of weeks. Good luck, let’s hope we get weather like last year.....

Dark weed. I had that found it was due to bad air circulation. Once I got a through draft buds turned more lite green which is what I expected. Hope that helps you.
