A new run before summer heat.
I chose strains with a short flowering period :7/8 weeks ... and good taste, effects etc :)
They will have a short growth period ( 2/3 weeks) that the reason why they are 21.
No toping etc, rather someting like a SOG
Pots 0,9L and 3,6 L
First light mix then Dna mills with cork
Bio Technology Organic line.
SF 4000 led 450W.
Germination starting today( 16/04/21) !
- 19/4/21: All seeds germinfated , in their 1 L pots.
Day 1 ( 19/04/2021): All seeds germinated in 2/3 days. Very little watering with Elycitor and Roots+ and the little familly is in the tent.
Day 4: All plants are taking the "sun" even the black domina who has been the late for germination and that I replaced in its pot after checking it was still alive: Delayed. Another delayed is a quick kush whose roots developed like a flat S: I sweetly "repoted" it and it looks fine but... a little delayed. First out where Dinafem ( Quick gorilla before everybody) and zamnesia's critical. For now, very little watering every day slowly increasing to match 1/4 of pots's volume : 0,25 L and right now 0,15+ L, pH 6 with Roots + (0,3 ml /L)
Day 7: 2nd floor is showing up on Quick Gorilla's but they grew a little too tall => "tutors". Other girls are fine (yes... the Black domina takes a lot of time but... one can now see some green so I want to believe it's a good sign).. One of the zamnesia critical was born with only one cotyledon ans is a bit gnarly. The light mix is ok but I prefer from far the dna mills with cork. Too bad it's too rich for very first stages but it will be the one I use when I repot. Finally, I will use 7L l pots instead of 3,6 L and wait they're arround 20 cm tall to switch to 12/12
Day 8: The Quick Gorilla (3/4) grew too tall. I think that it's ok with the light at 76 cm /35% ( +/- 155 W) so maybe the lightmix is too.. light. I installed some kind of tutors to help but it doesn't change the pb's reason(s) and its consequences for later.
Next watering, I'll start low dosage of orga grow. The Black domina's root didn't develop :( I planted it again a little deeper in the soil but I doubt it will survive. Other than that (...), everythng is allright.
Day 9: I think that the black domina is rotting in its pot. Nothing else to report.
Day 10: watering 0,25L/plants with Elycitor, roots+ and orga grow (1ml/L instead of 1,5ml/L recommended) for the 4 early SBR, both critical 2,0 and both zamnesia critical. I forgot to adjust the 7,6 pH for the early SBR..It happened once in the past and no drama 🙏
Day 11:watering 0,25L/plants with Elycitor, roots+ and orga grow (1ml/L instead of 1,5ml/L recommended) for all other plants. The black domina didn't make it, back to 20.
Day 12: Increased the light intensity up to 55 %. The nutrients didn't hurt and they're getting stronger.
Day 13: It's growing !
Day 14: Repotting + watering +/-1,5L/plant, pH 6 with Elycitor 0,35 mg/l and Roots + 0,3ml/L for Criticals (2,0 and zamnesia) and 4/5 Sugar black rose early.I'll try to finish tomorrow. At least they now have a very good soil and should "explode"quickly
Week 2 is ending and apart the lost of the black domina, I am rather happy with the plants's development. Sugar black rose and early version seem to be the strongest and healthiest.
Day 15 (03/05/2021): Repotting and watering (same as yesterday) done. And I'm happy it's done 😉. Once again, I've been short of DNA mills with cork => 3 Quick kush had All mix instead. I never used it, we'll see ( the plants and I).Watering, I can already tell it's not the same quality watching water beeing absorbed by soil: One is like a sponge, the other creates mud before water is absorbed (same as light mix). As I said, we'll see.
Day 16: A zamnesia critical develops weird leaves and is a bit weak for now. Also, I might have damaged a Sugar black rose leaf yesterday... starting to seat on a stool where I placed a SBR plate while repotting...Can you believe it..
The light is at 69 cm from the canopy and dimmer is set at 65% (+/- 290 W), ppfd from 480 to 750. For now, they seem to like it.
Day 17: Nothing to report. I give them a few more days before switching to 12/12.
Day 18: Idem
Day 19: Cut all secondary branches on 2 or 3 first nodes of all plants and sprayed some neem oil for prevention before the light is off.
I let them recover for 2/3 days and then switch to 12/12. I'll cut the secondary branches on the 3rd node that I couldn't cut today during the stretch. I didn't cut the fans leaves of the 3 first nodes, "only" secondary branches.
Day 20: Rest day.
Day 21: Idem :)
Day 22 (10/05/2021): Watering 1,6 L/plant, pH 6,2 with Elycitor 0,4 mg/l and Roots + 0,3 ml/L for all plants. Cut secondary branches on 3rd nodes where it had not been done yet.
This was their last day of 18/6: Later, when the light is off, their night will last 6 more hours.
Day 23: They are growing fine ! Although it was the plan and the reason for "so many" plants, I don't feel comfortable with so short veg ( not even talking 12/12 from seed). This run should be finished around july 10th = > enjoy summer heats and start my ACE seeds at the end of august and back to scrogg and toping.
Day 24: They took 2cm + during the last 24 hours. The SBR look are taller and look a little stronger than their early version which has ruderalis in its genetics. All plants are healthy but one of the zamnesia critical who keeps on producing weird leaves with weird shape and texture. Well... she has the right to live too ! 😇 ...As long as she remains a lady 😬
Day 25: Braided lots of fan leaves together.
Day 26: I forgot to mention a weak smell coming out of the tent since a few days as I didn't re install the carbon filter yet. They don't like humidity that much (carbon filters) and without it, speed at 1/3 is quite enough for the air extractor. I live it like that for a few more days, nothing to worry about for now.
Day 27: Nothing. I'll water them tomorrow or monday. Tomorrow for sure, I'll spray neem oil again. The Sugar black rose 's trunk diameter is +/- twice larger than for the other strains, it also looks VERY stable
Day 28: Spayed neem oil 1ml/L with water pH 6,8 before the light is off. Tomorrow or tuesday depending on how dry is the soil... watering 😓
Day 29: End of the 1st 12/12 week tonight. They grew by 13 cm during this time. They look happy and I'm glad I resisted to my impulses to give them more nutrients. Tomorrow, I will certainly water them, not sure it will be dry enough.
Day 30: Watered the 20 plants, 1,8 L /plant, pH 6,2/6,3 with Elycitor 0,4mg+L and Roots + 0,3 ml/L. They grew a lot again: On day 30, the tallest plant is ... 30 cm tall. That said, for sure they won't hit the ceiling.
Day 31: Sprayed neem oil once again before the light is off. The weak zamnesia critical is starting to produce normal leaves and I think that pistils started to appear on most plants.
Day 32: They took another 4 cm during the last 24 hours. Tallest plant is almost 37 cm tall. I adjust the lamp's height every 2 days and its dimmer is now at 90%+.
Day 33: Another 2,5 cm during the last 24 hours.
Day 34: And another 4 good cm today. Not much to say, they're all growing fine.
Day 35: And 2cm today:: 21/22 cm during the last finishing week. Tomorrow, ...I'll water all plants.
Day 36 ( 24/052021):
3rd week of 12/12 starting. Watered all plants , 1,8 L/plant, pH 6,2/6,3, with Elycitor (0,45 mg/l) and Roots + 0,3 ml/L. They don't seem to want more grow stuff and that's fine for me. For sure the DNA with cork is rich enough for 4/5 weeks and All mix for at least 3. I thought of adding some Orga grow during the third 12/12 week to make sure they don't miss N but...they say " no ! Thank you that's fine !": The tips of some leaves are slightly clearer ( not burnt at all, just clearer), I read somewhere that's its the sign that they have all what they need => More would be too much. It's not very visible on the pictures but yes, it started to flower everywhere. The Quick kush are now the tallest and the latest (less pistils for now than all other strains). Talking about size... The strech is not over: 7 cm today... 51 cm, they're not that tall but I'm still surprised: it's already a X 3,4 stretch and I don't plan to defoliate..
Ha ! and the smell got stronger and I had to re install the air carbon filter and also to use some ONA in the room while watering (several hours ..): Tent opened it smells too strong to be quiet.
Day 37: + 4 cm today. I moved a Critical 2,0 and placed an empty pot under its plate so that it's +/- at the same height than the other plants. I finally also cut the 3 first nodes 's leaves on most plants but a quick kush.
Day 38: I visited a friend today and came back home when the light was off => no pictures today. I saw the plants this morning before living: They took 6 cm during the night; nothing else to report.
Day 39: Not much to say. They're growing fine and the stretch isn't over. The smell is getting stronger.
Day 40: +3 cm again today. Quick kush are late compared to the other plants and they're also the tallest. 1 sprayed some neem oil before the light is off ( 1 L water pH 6,8 + 1 ml of neem oil).
Day 41: +5 cm today and I raised the lamp again.
It's the 2nd run using the SF 4000. I don't regret one second the purchase and after a few months, I can tell plants love its light with not a single doubt.
I'll wait until monday to feed them again so that we are in 4th 12/12 week: stop the roots +, start the Orga bloom and boost +. Finally, they had some grow stuff only once when repoted from light mix in to dna mills / all mix and with 65% of the recommended dosage.
Sure nutrients are a factor as well as genetics, environmental conditions and growing techniques. No sure that it's the most important.
Day 42: Tallest plant is 80cm tall. Quick kush 's buds are now visible. T° rose ( 28°C outside) and I removed the humidifier from the tent => pic at 27° in the tent. I'd like to stay under 26°C but I don't think it will be the case. Tomorrow... watering, Yesss !😱
Day 43 (31/05/2021): 4th 12/12 week starting. Watering 1,8/2 L per plant, pH 6,1/6,2 with Elycitor 0,35 g/L and Orga Bloom 1,5 ml/L for the 20 ladies. It looks like the stretch is behind, they barely didn't grow today.
I cut a few too low flowering sites. The plants were thirsty ( 8 days ago was their last time) and some bottom fan leaves started to dry. It was on purpose but from now, I'll water them lore often...Oh cosmic joy😔.
Despite I removed the air humidifier, the RH is at 75%. It's ok for me with T° at+/- 26°C, good airflow and still in the beginning of flowering. Not sure that the carbon filter fully agrees.
Day 44: The stretch isn't over: 6 more cm since yesterday. T° and RH went down a little.
Day 45: and 4 more cm.. I have to raise the lamp everyday or so. I would appreciate that they don't grow taller than 1,2m, so maybe they should start to slow down a little unless troubles are coming within the coming week.
Day 46: 6 more cm today 😂. I draw 45 liters of water in buckets to let it stand before next watering and that's all for today.
Day 47: Only almost 2 cm today ! .Not much to say, they're slowly blooming. Next watering, I won't give orga bloom to all plants. Those with Dna mills have enough and boost +/Inductor R and F / Blooming H will enter the dance next week/
Day 48: A little 2 cm today again. I don't think that will grow much more in height.
Sprayed neem oil again ( 0,75 L from 1L, pH 6,5 + 2ml of neem oil) and tomorrow..... tintintin !!! Watering !! So much fun ahead and again :)
Day 49 : Watered all plants but 1 critical, 1 critical 2,0 and 1 Sugar black rose whose soil isn't dry enough; 2 L/ plant with Elycitor 0,4 mg/l, pH 6,3.
T° reaches 27,6° in the middle of the afternoon ( 23°C inside). I find it a bit high but not much choice. I added another fan under the canopy ( so 2 under) with the one runing just above the plants, the last one directed on the led pannel and the 430 m3/h air extractor; I hope they'll be fine. End of 4th 1212 week. Next week hopefully buds are going to grow and trichomes to appear more clearly (and terpenes not evaporate despite T°...).
Day 50: 5th week of 12/12 starting. Spent some time with them doing nothing, just watching and enjoying them. Well...Like everyday in fact.
They look rather good, leaves are stretching up like crazy ( and the strech is btw over: 1 more cm for the last 48 hours).
One SBR has one of its leaves flowering ! While Quick kush has small leaves popping inside the fan leaves.
Tomorrow, I'll water the last SBR but not the criticals still not watered. No pb, I'll be there when they want to.
Day 51: Watering 2L with Elycitor 0,4 mg/L, pH 6,3 for the last SBR. Two remaining critical's turn tomorrow ! Tomorrow too, I'll spray Blooming H on all plants ( increases bud's density) and 4 days later Inductor F (foliar for trichomes) and R (roots with the soup)
I'll do this again during 7th week of 12/12.
Day 52: Sprayed 7,5 ml of Blooming H ( https://www.bio-technology.fr/fr/additifs-floraison/23-blooming-h.html) mixed with 0,5 L of water. pH at 6. It's effects will start to be visible within 24/36 hours.
Still no watering for the 2 criticals...While quick kush for instance will have to be watered again within the next 48 hours. Trichomes are more visible and smell is heavier, persistent and quickly filling the tent's room and the corridor as soon as the tent is opened more than a few seconds.nolater
Day 53: Nada. I will probably not wait the four days advised before using Inductor R and F ( "for the best results"). They say it can be used too mixed with Blooming H and I'll have to water them tomorrow or after tomorrow no later so... 2 or 3 days instead of 4; no big deal.
I just compared to yesterday and blooming H already started to produce its effects 👌
Day 54: T° is quickly rising as usually here. I'll increase Elycitor dosage to 1 mg/L to help plants to deal with heat and the CO2 bag won't hurt. I'll water all plants tomorrow.
Day 55: 2,2 L / plant with Elycitor 1g/l , Boost + 1 ml/L , Orga Bloom 2,5 ml/L and Inductor R 2ml/L - pH 6,3 - for everybody but a Critical 2,0 and the SBR watered last tuesday. Quick kush and gorilla were thirsty. Pic at 34°C outside today.Tomorrow 36°C and a little cooler (33°C...)for the next two weeks. Buds are slowly taking form and stacking but not many trichomes for now compared to the last run.
Day 56: Adjusted the lamp at 50 cm from tallest plant: This morning, 3 plants were showing signs of heat/light pressure and a quick kush looked like it had too much watering. Tonight they look better and I'll check the coming days.
Day 57 (14/06/2021): 6th week of 12/12 started.
2 Quick kush showed signs of overwatering. For one it's now ok or almost but not for the other one whose leaves are still very hooked (and turning dark purple). I don't know what else to do than to wait for its soil to dry.
1 Critical got worse since yesterday. Tops leaves show heat/light/overfeeding and watering issues.
The lamp was too low at 43 cm.. I rose it up to 55 cm and lowered the power to 85%.
The other plants look fine as far as I can see althought I find that their green is a bit too dark...=> Only water for a while.
Day 58: Raising the lamp didn't hurt but not much changes for the Critical and quick kush, from white the spots on the critical are turning brown. Oher plants are ok and the smells are changing, getting more complex and promising :).
Day 59: Watering for the last SBR, 2 liters with Elycitor 1g/L, boost + 1ml/L and inductor R 2ml/L, pH 6,3. The weather is very hot, 6*C more than what it usually is : 38°C today.
Day 60: Nothing to mention. I'll water some plants tomorrow.
Day 61: Watering 2L+ /plant with Elycitor 1mg/L and Boost + 1 ml/L, pH 6,4 for 10 ladies: the 4 Quick kush, the 4 quick gorilla , 1 SBR and 1 SBRE. Not that many trichomes, especially on the tallest plants. Heat doesn't help and it reminds me of the same period last year althought I reach 28°C instead of 34°C thx to the led pannel.
Day 62: Another nothing to do day. Tomorrow I should have to water a few plants and it's time to start thinking of blooming H round 2, it will still increase buds's vegetal density and firmness.
Day 63: End of 6th week of 12/12.
Watering 2,1L/plant with Elycitor 1mg/Land Bosst + 1ml/L, pH 6,4 for 4 more plants only as some can still wait 1 or 2 days. Tomorrow I'll spray Blooming H for the 2nd and last time.
They all will have boost + and inductor R ( no this time finally) once more and then only water and Elycitor till the end. I mean their end..😜
Day 64 and 65 (21 and 22/6/2021): 7th week of 12/12 started. I had a power cut a few days ago, when the light is off. They missed 40mn of light before I realized that something was wrong. I started everything again and set the hour on the timer.. and got a +/-10mn difference with what I'm used to. I didn't pay too much attention (the 12/12 cycle is exact) until yesterday when I waited 5 mn before the light is off to spray the Blooming H..and found the light already off 😂. So I sprayed half a liter of water + 3,75ml of blloming H, pH 6,1 with the light in the corridor on but didn't take any picture.
Same day 64: Watering for 4 plants ,2,2L/plants with Elycitor 1mg/L and Boost + 1ml/L, pH 6,4.
Day 65: Watering for 2 more plants ,2,2L/plants with Elycitor 1mg/L and Boost + 1ml/L, pH 6,4. The buds are still fattening and hopefully, it's not over.All the strains are supposed to be ready after 7 to 8 weeks of blooming and I'd better get more than 10/15 g dry/plant. I wish I could have grown less with longer veg, toping and scrog but I had no choice. We'll see.
Day 66: Watering for 9 plants today: 2,2L/plants with Elycitor 1mg/L and Boost + 1ml/L, pH 6,4.
Blooming H does its job, buds are still fattening and are now firm/solid like little rocks (well..almost !). I don't see as many trichomes than with the previous run but...gently touching the plants and my fingers are sticky fpr longer than usually. The same with smell. My fingers still smell after a few mn.
I remember that the quick kush started to flower +/- 1 week after the other strains maybe this explain a little why they don't look as generous as the quick gorilla or SBR/SBRE. For now, with the 2 Critical + 2,0,they are the ones who looks like they are going to give the less. SBR are a bit bigger than the SBRE and look like rather good yelders, the quick gorilla are doing very well, idem for the Critical freebies from Zamnesia (including the one who had a long hard start). All strains have a distinct smell and I love them all :)
Day 67:Watering for 4 plants today (3 Quicj kush and 1 Critical + 2,0): 2,2L/plants with Elycitor 1mg/L and Boost + 1ml/L, pH 6,4.
Signs of senescense appearing. I Checked the trichomes : Half transparent half milky and some very rare amber.No surprise, it's not ready yet !
T° vent down for a few days and is going to raise again no later than tomorrow to reach 32°C outside.
Day 68: Nothing today. It's autumn in the tent.
Day 69:Watering for 3 plants (2 Critical and 1 SBR): 2,2L/plants with Elycitor 1mg/L and Boost + 1ml/L, pH 6,4. The 2 Critical 2,0 + ( freebies for the purchase of the quick kush and gorilla) are ridiculous like +/- 10 g dry not for one plant but for both. I was initially expecting +/-350/400g of dry buds on this run. Well...Dream on !😰
I lowered the lamp to 48 cm and raised up the 2nd critical 2,0 + adding a pot under its pot.
Checked again trichomes on a few plants => They should be ready for the end of next week.
Day 70: I raised up a SBRE the same way than yesterday and cut (yes...) a few leaves to improve light penetration for the last week and nothing else. I just compared and yes, the buds still grew nicely during the week. One more week to figure out how I'm going to manage to harvest the 20 ladies without perfuming the whole building !
Day 71 (28/06/21): 8th and normally last week of 12/12 started.
Watering 2,2 L/plant with elycitor 1mg/L and boost+ , pH 6,4 for the 4 quick gorilla, 1 quick jush and 2 SBR. I used some coton rope to prevent side branches for some plants from falling aside.
It smells strong !
Day 72: Watering 2,2 L/plant with elycitor 1mg/L and boost+ , pH 6,4 for a critical 2,0+ and a SBRE. Cut a few dying leaves and raised up another SBRE after I took the day pics.
Day 73: Watering 2,2 L/plant only water pH 6,4 for 3 quick kush and 2 SBRE. I checked gain the trichomes here and there: Always not ready. I even found more transparent than last time haha !! :)
The pistils became orange brown ( especially on the SBRE and the less on the quick gorilla's) but there are still many to ripen. I thought of stopping watering them from today so that their soil isn't too wet for the cut but...I'm not sure they'll be ready next sunday on day 56 of 12/12.
Day 74:Watering 2,2 L/plant only water pH 6,4 for 1 quick kush 1 SBR and 1 SBRE.
I visited my grow store and came back with what was missing for the next run: CO2 bags, DNA Mills with cork and Elycitor. Depending on the resuts with the present run I'll grow Kannabia or Ace seeds.
Day 75: Nothing but checking hte trichomes again. Not ready yet but almost, I'll cut next sunday or monday and stop watering.
No flushing ?!? That's right since I watched this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTWfSjzqvLI) and didn't personally never noticed a difference.
Day 76: They're living their last days. Cut always planned for tomorrow or monday. I'd like the trichomes to be mostly milky with not too many amber/transparent. This is the case now for some plants, not yet for other => I might harvest twice and so have to use my weedryer untill I can use the tent for drying (With the July heat, it will dry too fast in the weedryer and I wanted to avoid using it this time).The good point is that the plants who eventually will live longer will have more space and light for their last days. Now, the trichomes quite a bit everyday. We'll see tomorrow
Day 77: I spent the day harvesting, cutting, trimming, hanging, emptying pot and again, 20 times 😅. I have not idea of the wet weight as my balance doesn't go above 100g and that's it the 1st time that I use the tent to dry the weed: Previous sessions I used the weedryer and removed all branches making it easy to weigh things. Some nice plants, some I find very little.
I'll create and update the harvest weeks when everything is dry.
And as a reward for the day, I'm now going to taste the bit of finger hash that I got and this will be updated way sooner !

The taste:... For now, not much taste smoked and not much more vaped with the mighty : I think this one really need some curing ( what a big news ! ) before revealing its aromas.
The effects: Mainly a warm physical high starting from your low belly to quickly reach your brain. Yes, it hits, quickly relaxes you and makes you feel physically good and happy.
I like it but I realize that I miss some sativa effects. Excellent for the night/sleeping imo.

. Very very sticky: The 110 g of Quick gorilla take the same space than the 77 g of Quick kush ( whose buds are dense and sticky too although much less).
Strong effects as well, always mostly indica but also somewhere inspiring. Easier also to ficus on something or simply...do something :)
11 little g of dry buds: low range yeld but given as freebies, so thank you Dinafem. Nice little smoke, not much taste for now but smells strong citrus and kerbs, indica body effects, less strong than quick kusk and gorilla.
Freebies from Zamnesia, low range yeld 11g/ plant but nice smoke. Smells more citrus and lemon than the critical 2,0 + and has a wider range of effects.
@MrHightimes, ha ok ! :) yes, let's push the limits !! About limits ( 😁), for pots, do you think that 3,6 L is enough for final size after 2,5 weeks in a 0,9 L ( veg 17+4 days and flo +/- 8 week) ??
@MrHightimes, Hi, do you mean there are maybe too many plants ? I wanted photoperiod with short flowering. They'll have only 3 weeks of 18/6 from seeds germination. 3,6 L final pot size, mostly indica => they shouldn't become monsters.
@DoDrugs420, Thank you. They say 10/30 g of dry buds plant the one bud way. so the result is quite honest but unfortunately not spectacular although, of course, I'm not crying and rather happy.

@Eauderay,Hello Eauderay ! Not much experience but yes ! Plants like the leds panel 's light much much more than the MH/HPS that I used 6 months ago. And so do I. Not even talking about space gain, money saved, easier management of T° etc etc :)
I wasn't sure what to think about the flowering leaf so I made some research: It looks like they like the light and food a lot => lots of auxin production. Nothing to worry about pfffiou...!! :)
Good luck with your grow! I'm also growing SBR right now but with a different approach so am interested in seeing how your plants develop. Really excited to see that you are going to run a SOG grow as I'm considering doing that soon-ish.
