Starting the 3rd week, growth is nice and steady. Have yet to feed it any nutrients, will start a feed cycle this week.
Turned off bloom light, sticking with just the veg light. Believe both switches on was too strong resulting in yellowing of new growth.
Fed for the first time on day 19. Hopefully takes well to the nutes.
Start of week 6, not looking too bad. Slow vertical growth but filling out great. Most likely will be a short plant.
Day 40 noticed what looks like a little nute burn.
Flushed with ph'd water. Any advice would be great.
Day 41, what looks like nute burn is only on the one set of leaves, and the plant is a little darker than usual. Could be nitrogen excess, not sure. Also found out I am not watering even close to the amount I should. Will be giving a big flush in these next few days.
Day 42, gave her a flush, hopefully with correct the nute burn. Hope to see some positive results in the next week.
Day 46, shes blown up the past few days, new bud sites and pistils are showing up everywhere. Really excited to see how she develops in the flower stage.
Day 48, raised the light, and hopefully the medium dries out by tomorrow shes due for a feeding.
Day 49 start of week 8, she looks amazing. Really filling out and she has bud sites everywhere. Took really well to the flush and Im very excited to see how she does in flower. O got high hopes for her.
Day 50, noticed what looks like some form of deficiency or toxicity on a few bud sites. Also a few white pistils have turned orange the past few days.
Day 54, wrapping up week 8. Shes looking amazing. She has withstood all my rookie mistakes and is surprising me everyday. New budsites every time I check, she has doubled in size the last week and a half and Im so excited to see how she turns out. Just fed with 3/4 strength nutes to not shock her since the flush almost 2 weeks ago. She has some spotting on some leaves so Ill def keep an eye on those.
Day 55, shes looking amazing. Seemed to have loved the last feed, shes getting thicker and is covered in pistils. Looking great
Start of week 9
Day 56, as shown in the last photo some of the lower buds pistils are already turning orange, not sure if from stress because the rest of the plant looks great, or if its a trait of this strain. Will have to do some research.
Day 58, just gave her a watering, shes really starting to thicken up and fill out. Shes showing trichomes on the main cola already and Im super hyped about it
Day 61, shes getting thicker and wider, slight smell coming off of her and shes getting new trichomes everyday.
Hey all, hows it going? So its day 56 of my GirlScout Cookies auto and on some of the lower buds that were covered by fan leaves the white pistils are already turning orange. It isnt even day 30 of flower. Is this shock, stress or something else? Any help is appreciated!
The pistils are still quite long so you are still some way off for the calyx to swell. Some plants pistils aren't always white, depends on the genetics my girl scout cookies pistils always show nice colours.
Start of week 10
Day 63, shes looking fantastic. Drinking water like crazy and loving her nutes. Really filling out and the buds are thicker everyday. My 2nd plant should be done in around 2 weeks so shes going to get a lot more room soon. The thinner leaves are leading me to believe she will be a sativa dominant plant. Not sure though, just some amateur thoughts.
Day 64, she looks amazing. Shes getting thicker everyday and the buds are really putting on weight. There are trichomes all over and shes starting to put off a minor smell, more of a regular soil/plant smell than a cannabis scent. Really excited to see how she does in the next few weeks!
Day 67, very excited with how she is doing. Filling out everyday, really liking the nutrients and seems to be drinking water like crazy. Will be giving her another watering in the next 2 days.
Just checked on her at 4pm and looks like she now has a phosphorus deficiency, seems to have happened overnight. Going to flush her tomorrow with a little extra bloom nutes hopefully that will stop it.
Day 68, just flushed her with ph'd water and some bloom nutes hopefully that will correct the P deficiency. It didnt look too bad to me, only 1 of the fan leaves was really affected while the other leaves had minor spotting on them between the veins. Hopefully I diagnosed it correctly cause she still has a good amount of time left. FastBuds says it shouldve taken 10 weeks but it looks like its going to be alot longer than that.
Day 69, went to check on her and the damage has spread to almost every inch of the plant. I have no idea what this is and Im not good at diagnosing. Not sure its a Phosphorus deficiency anymore. I gave her extra bloom nutes yesterday for Phosphorus but over night the spotting/damage doubled. Please help!
Day 70, what I thought was a flush is just a normal watering. Rookie mistakes. Gave her a real flush this morning and will be feeding her later this week. Hopefully the flush cleaned out the medium and we can get her back on track. Theres a bit of a smell coming off her, and her buds still seem to look great. Shes going to have alot more room soon when I harvest my Glueberry OG Auto so shes going to get alot more attention.
Start of week 11
Day 71, the damage is still spreading, waiting one more day to feed, will add some calmag as well as extra bloom. Hopefully that will help with the deficiency. Then I guess the next step will be to pruning off the most damaged leaves. If anyone has any advice that would be awesome.
Day 73, damage has seemed to stop. I gave her a feed at full strength yesterday. Hopefully that will fix her and get her right. She still has a good amount of healthy growth on her. My question would be should I trim the damaged leaves or leave them on? Id assume theyll fall off if they are bad enough. Once again any advice would be great. She still has a lot of growing left to do so hopefully I have some time to fix her up!
Ran into a severe nute lockout. Nothing I did remedied the situation. Most likely just due to my being a newbie but she didnt really recover from the phosphorus deficiency. Buds came out pretty damn good given the situation. Pulled 17gs off her, not the best but for a first time grow Im happy. Got it curing right now, real sweet smell thats backed up with a diesel punch. Havent smoked any yet but made some fire cracker edibles with the little bit of trim and those had me blasted for about 5 hrs. All in all Id say its a quality strain and def worth a shot.
1st grow is a wrap. Didnt produce as much weight as I wanted, but you gotta be shitty to get better. Rookie mistakes coupled with a new work schedule threw her all out of wack. I had a P deficiency I couldnt get rid of which turned into a nute lockout. Shit situation but she dried great and is in a jar curing now as of (7/24/21). Smells amazing and tastes great. Excited to see how she smokes after a long cure.
Great job on your first grow, you have results, many don´t get here and give up. We just don´t see too many as not all people post their failures, way more to learn from failures though. You, Sir, have succeeded in making weed and learned how to make more next time. So enjoy your results, a lot of love and worry went in it. Then just pop another can o seeds and we go again, good luck on the next one. Better to underwater and underfeed then overwater and overfeed, buy a cheap PH meter, they work fine when you calibrate them often.
