4/21/21.
I'm starting this diary 52 days from sprout. Just jumped on GD last week, great site!
These two beans were sown at the same time, 2/24/21. This is are my first Auto grow. I,ve worked primarily with clones. I had a White Russian mother for close to 4 years.
This White Russian Auto started flower at about 30 days. She beefed up as much as she streched. Didn't do any LST or topping, at about 16" now. I love the structure of this girl, just like the original. She is fast. Almost 3 weeks faster to flower than the Green Crack Auto under under the same conditions.
I followed the Earth Juice 5 part feeding chart after about 3 weeks, at 50%. GC wanted more N right away, I'm up to the 150% of suggested N and she's just greening up now. WR is a lighter feeder.
GC was LST'd around week 3, this is when I ran into a PH problem. Run off was down around 5. I used dolimite lime and Recharge microbes to raise the PH, now between 6 and 6.5. This combo seems to work well to to keep the PH in range.
4/22/21. Day 53
I got a good look at WR today. Took some fan leaves, maybe a dozen. More light to the flowers now. Some of the stems were pretty sticky so I grabbed the scope and found cloudy trichs. The flowers are showing milky as well. Happy day! I'll be starting the flush now, water only, Maybe some Recharge.
GC got another hot dose of N with her fower nutes last night and picked up some green on the tops. She's eating up everything I give her. Half gallon soaked up over night in a 3 gallon pot. I'm thinkin 5 gallons next time. She looks tired at the end of her day, droopy on the top end. I switched the lights from 18 to 16 by moving the off time up an hour and the on time back an hour. Curious to see how she reacts. This will also benefit the other two girls in the tent. Their getting ready to finish anyway.
4/25. Day 56.
Yesterday GC got a nice pruning. Everything on the lower half is trimmed off as well as all the scrub in the center tier. Pulled a few mid sized fan leaf to clear top bud sites. Finished the LST, evening up the spacing and height of the canopy. Should be structurally good to flower now. She's still eating up N, but I'm happy with her color now and she won't be needing as much. Tops are setting up real nice, let the bloom begin! She drinks about a half gallon a day, Mild recharge water then Earth Juice 5 part plus Cal Mag and heavy N. Also did some top dressing with Bone meal and worm casings today.
WR is a tank. Just water and mild Recharge, about a quart a day. Trichs are about 25% clear, 75% milky. Her flowers are noticably bulkier every day. I think she would have been fine in a two gallon pot.
4/27. Day 58.
Since switching to 16 hours, GC does not look as tired, droopy at the end of her day. Gonna stick to it since she is the queen of the tent now.
The Northern Lights, not part of this diary, is finishing up in the window. She had a rough life. Still gonna get about 1.5 zips though. Letting the trichs cloud up now.
WR still beefing up and ripening. Might have to do a flush. We'll see in a few days.
4/28. Day 59 .
WR got a 9 gallon flush today. PH of the first water to run off was 6.5. Lime and Microbs doing their thing well.
Trimmed out the discolored fan leaf and some bud leaf. She's getting mouth watering sweet!😌
She did not need the full strength nutrients. 50% after 5 weeks next time.
I am using the Earth Juice 5 part recipe, plus cal-mag as well as dolomite lime and microbes, after 4 weeks in the Happy Frog mix I use.
This was not enough for GC though. She is finally nice and lush after N heavy feedings for the last 2 weeks. Tops filling in fast. There are about 8 that will be top tier and over 30 second tier tops. My goal is to keep them all within 8 inches of each other. More pruning to come.
4/30. Day 61.
Yesterday I redirected the fans to WR, help her dry out a bit after her flush. Switched both fan timers to "on" . She looks great today, getting juicier, riper. Sexy photo-shoot today!😆 So sticky😉
Been messing around with different cameras, as you can see from the photos. I wanna capture the essence of these girls, so I'll be workin' on that.
GC got another trim. I took some umbrella leaf, the flowers don't need hats.😀 Exposed all the buds. This girl is very leafy, and loaded with bud sites. Needs some extra attention and I'm all in!
5/4/21. Day 64.
WR is beefing up. Drinking about 12 ounces a day, water only. I'm still seeing some clear trichomes. Not much amber. I'm thinking she'll be done in less than a week. Still hoping she lightens up a bit. I want her to burn up whatever nutes are left before the cut. We shall see, patience is a virtue!
GC is a beast! Still uptaking a half gallon of water daily. I cut back just a bit yesterday and she let me know by pouting (droopy) this morning. I top fed her about 1.5 quarts and bottom fed a half quart or so. Then gave her a few ounces of Reharge water. I use a hand pump sprayer and water a bit at a time to prevent roll off. Thiink of light rain on dry soil. She looks happy and lush now. She'll get full bloom nutes tomorrow plus some top dressing, her roots are growing up and out of the surface of the soil 😳. Details on the the top dress will be noted in my next update.
These two girls were planted on the same day.
5/6 Day 66.
GC came out to play today😳 Stll shots just dont do her justice. She's still drinking heavily. Half gallon of 5 part bloom + Cal-mag yesterday morning, this morning dry. I'm gonna botom feed her at night, just a pint or so. I feel bad when she pouts 😟 She's 22 inches at the peak and 22 inches round. Next time I woud choose 5 gallon bags, 2 per this size tent. I LSTed a bit with pipe cleaners to even up spacing. The I gave her another pruning. So much leaf! @Hawkbo on his GC grow for for showing me the way! She also got a top dressing of 1/2 quart of Happy Frog with worn casings, dolomite lime and bone meal. She just eating all these nutes up! The tops are building girth now. Very firm! No oder yet.
WR is ready! I'm drooling, no really. She'll get a nice video too 😉 Might do a selective harvest. They dont always finish evenly. To be continued.
5/9 Day 69.
WR went dark. I'll chop her on day 70, 10 weeks. Trichs are mainly milky. Big and bold! Looking into a scope that connects to the tablet so I can get some shots of these these divine pearls 👊😌 Sorry to report I cant upload the the video I made, corrupted file or some nonsence 😒
GC is chugging along building buds! She's a jungle of bud and leaf. I continue to work the canopy relieving her umbrella leaf and of the scub from underneath. Who wants all that fluff anyway? Still drinking almost a half gallon a day. I'm gonna keep the bloom nutes on the hot side unless she says stop.
WR came down on day 70. With a week dry she is now curing in jars. I'll have smoke report in a couple weeks. This strain is as easy as it gets to grow and trim.
May 18, day 77.
GC slowed down on uptake developing trichomes mainly on the flowers. I was getting worried.... where's all the sugar? Found it. Looks great, already some cloudy.
I spin her every couple of days and today I noticed all the bud leaf is having an affect on the lower sections of each bud. So many buds! More pruning today to light them up. Just one section of the plant at a time, as I spin her. Had to get a decent photo of just how many flowers there are! These nugs are like rocks 😁 Maybe that's how she got her name?
She has a few weeks to go yet, just starting to fade now. Some of the other diaries went 14 weeks. Or more. Sativa trait for sure.
May 21, day 80.
She got squeezed out of the tent buy the new owners 👋 I really didn't plan on her running this long, but it is what it is. The weather has warmed, so she moved out to the balcony where she'll get about 9 hours of direct sun over a 14 hour day. She seems happy. Frosting up. Getting that sweet smell on 😀 I hope the lavender blooms soon, need a cover odor. I feed her bloom once this week.
