I decided to pop a Mango Kush Autoflower by Mendocino Farms today. I usually plant directly into coco coir but, I'm soaking a seed for a few hours, then putting it between paper towels and in a zip lock bag to hold in the moisture.
It's my first attempt at this technique so, I'm curious and a little excited.
I've read how this strain produces up to football-sized kolas and the buzz is supposed to be quite nice. Let's see if I can get more than a joint out of this plant. 😂
Day 3 - The Mango Kush Auto has sprouted its little tail and is ready to go into her home. I gave it a cup of water using a turkey baster and covered it so the coco wouldn't dry out. She should come out to join the party in a few days.
Day 4 and she's peeking out of the coco. I'm looking forward to seeing how she develops.
I don't want to seem pushy, but autos require very little food for the first two
weeks, there is enough minerals in the water alone unless your using reverse osmosis
water which takes everything out of the water. Lately I've been using seed and root at 2mL/L
after the first week, kelp me kelp you works well also 1-2mL/L.
My Purple Kush grow started to flower in 18 days and I didn't use any veg nutes at all.
Seed and root every third day or so, molasses 2mL/L, great white 1ml/4L molasses mix after two weeks of growth.
Tried to keep it really simple 3 foods for veg if possible and 3 foods for flower, that's it, all organic.
Hope this helps👊 keep up the good work!!
Thanks for the tip about the P.H pen. I've never had to worry about P.H before.
The plant seems to have fixed itself, the P.H is just under 7 and the plant is making a comeback👍
I think it was the rain water that messed with the P.H, so spring water from now on and it'll be going in the greenhouse
as soon as it arrives. I ordered a P.H pen from amazon just in case.
Thanks again and remember it's 420 somewhere😎!!
@northernMike, Thank you for the info. Being new, I'm going to try that out. As for the nutes in my grow log, somehow, they're off. I only added literally one drop each of BioRoot and FloraBlend into half-gallon of water so, it was extremely diluted. I wanted to play it safe but, I'm going to try your secret recipe on one of my next grows to check it out. Thank you again for being cool enough to reach out.
@LgrowCollective, They say it grows huge kolas. Hopefully, she grows lush and strong. If I don't do a good job on it for some reason, please don't be put off by the strain. It'll just be my beginner's grow mistakes.
