deFharo Welcome to a new marijuana growing adventure. This time, a well-known autoflowering strain, 60% Indica / 40% Sativa, that promises great potency and production, plus a vegetative growth period of 30-40 days, which is good because it will allow me to enter flowering with a strong root and aerial system. 🤩 This plant will coexist with 3 other autoflowering plants in the same grow tent, from start to finish. The idea is to grow all 4 plants in my 60x60x140cm cabinet. The plants will spend 14 hours under indoor light (my cheap electric schedule) and during the day, I will take the pots to the windows to take advantage of the long days and the spring and summer sun, in total, they can receive over 21 hours of light. I would like to harvest all my ongoing crops, at the latest, in the first week of August to take a break in August and September, plus I won’t face the excess heat problems that I encountered last summer. I have started germinating the seeds in small pots (I didn't have space to start with the final pots). Today I transplanted one into its final pot, a 6l air-pot. The idea of this project is to grow in 6l air-pot containers, without ties or apical cuts, so that the plant doesn't widen and to show the morphology of each strain, plus, it’s been so long since I've seen a monstrous central apex, that I’m eager to grow these autoflowering plants. However, I also announce that I can change my mind and strategy at any moment during the grow! 😂 The method I use for germination is to place the seed directly in moist substrate, with the crown facing up, and then I put the pot on the router (heat bed). The first germination attempt failed due to rot, and this new seed sprouted after 48 hours. deFharo Welcome fellow growers, the seedling has reached two weeks of life and one week since transplanting to the final pot (Air-Pot 6l). The pot transplant went smoothly, the seedling shows growth, I keep it under 14 hours of indoor light, because that’s the maximum of my cheap electricity schedule, the rest of the hours I take the pot to the window for some sun. There are two reasons why I don’t feel comfortable with autoflowering strains, the first is the need for many hours of light throughout the plant's life, the second is the lack of control over the transition to flowering. I have started this grow with 3 other autoflowering strains that I plan to grow together in a 60x60cm tent and harvest them before the end of July. The most relevant thing this week was the transplant I did for the 4 strains a week ago; since I did it at the last minute, I didn’t have time to explain the process I use for substrate formation, according to my growing logic 👨‍🌾💦 SUBSTRATE: After experimenting in my first grows with super substrates, layered and loaded with multiple organic and mineral nutrients, after trying to use half of my substrates with reused soil from previous grows and ruining a dozen crops before realizing the mistake, today, and in all my ongoing grows, I am using a combination of light gardening soils based on peat and plant matter (6 parts), some substrates contain rooting elements, to this mix I add perlite, vermiculite, and zeolite (1.5 parts) to improve drainage and moisture retention, I add 1 part of coconut fiber, another of worm humus, and half a part of enriched homemade bokashi, also minerals in the proportion of 1g of each mineral per liter of soil, mainly micronized clays: Montmorillonite, kaolin, illite (Yes, Al...), which improve cation exchange and mainly provide silica, I add azomite which contains up to 70 different minerals, Pumice (Yes, Al...), Basalt (Mg, Fe...), Phosphorite (P) and leonardite (2g/l) to give structure to the soil, and add humified organic matter, humic and fulvic acids, I do not add any kind of organic matter. 💦SUBSTRATE ACTIVATION: I usually don’t water for the first 24 hours, because before transplanting, I moisten the substrate of the small pot a lot and let the excess moisture transfer to the surrounding substrate. I always add auxins to the transplant hole to enhance rooting. After 24 hours, I do the first deep watering aimed at inoculating microorganisms in the substrate; these will reproduce massively in about 3 days, facilitating root mobility through the substrate, as well as solubilizing and mineralizing the organic matter. I inoculate with my Activated Mountain Microorganisms preparation (MMA Basic) in liquid form through an anaerobic fermentation that lasts at least 40 days. The types of microorganisms contained in my preparation are varied, fungi, bacteria, mycorrhizae, yeasts, and other beneficial ones that help decompose organic matter and protect against pathogens, for example, I have collected and selected them from different virgin forests in my area and keep them dormant in solid state until I want to activate them... below I leave where I published tips with these procedures... I then water with a mix of MMA Basic at 3%, Honey (I prefer to use honey over molasses in the early stages of grows, honey contains the sugars that give energy to the microbiology to reproduce and also many enzymes and some minerals that help seed germination and rooting, in fact, it is an excellent rooting agent for cuttings.) and finally I adjust the pH of the mix with Ormus which provides Ca and Mg and traces of 60-70 other minerals in mono-atomic form that facilitate cation exchange leading to better nutrient assimilation. - It is essential to maintain life in the substrate to always water with pure water, without chlorine, and if you don’t have access to pure water, don’t waste money and time growing with microorganisms. - I’ve been seeing a lot lately substrates under the label of "living soil", some with mandatory fermentation processes of 30 days, with many nutrients and ad hoc commercial literature, in short, variations on a process similar to bokashi with extra expenses on microorganism spores and blah, blah, blah, which I have some doubts and objections about, always talking about growing marijuana in pots... if anyone wants to share calm opinions on this matter, I would be delighted. In this same area, we could also talk about rare earths, and the interaction of indigenous carbon with the organic matter of the jungle, ineffective by itself for crops. CONCLUSION After this first deep watering, I sprinkled diatomaceous earth (protection against pests and moisture and contribution of Si...) and on top Mulch of dry matter that will maintain the necessary moisture to help the proliferation of Microbiology and also the creation of adventitious roots from the first centimeter of the substrate. This watering usually lasts in the pot for 7 to 10 days, during this time the roots have reached all corners of the pot and are now multiplying. And after all of the above... I give the plants all the light I can at every moment of the day or night... let the party begin!! 😋 See you next week... deFharo Welcome growers to the third week of life of this hybrid autoflowering strain. Everything is going normally, the seedling continues its growth. On day 18, I did a deep watering with Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA Basic) at 2% to continue inoculating the MM into the substrate, to accelerate the mineralization and humification of the organic matter and the chelation of the minerals present in the substrate. Additionally, the MMA facilitates root mobility. I keep the seedling in my grow cabinet for 14 hours, alongside 3 other autoflowering strains, and after that time, I take the seedlings out into the May sun, so they receive about 21 hours of light. deFharo Welcome growers to the fourth week of life of this hybrid autoflowering strain. Four days ago, I did a FIM pruning to slow down vertical growth and boost the growth of the side branches. The leaves are expanding at the same time. This week, two waterings: the first one only with alkaline spring water. pH: 7.26, EC: 1.0. 800ml. The second watering with nutrients and microorganisms: Activated Mountain Microorganisms with pumpkin and minerals (B, NPK, Vitamins, carotenoids...) at 2.5%, molasses and Ormus (Ca, Mg...) at 0.75%. 900ml. So far, the cultivation is progressing strongly, the plant is comfortable in its grow tent and in the company of three other autoflowering strains. deFharo Welcome growers to the fifth week of life of this autoflowering strain, grown untethered, in a 6L air-pot, with a mixed indoor/outdoor light schedule, careful homemade organic nutrition, lots of care and attention to make this strain a happy plant!! 😁 This week the plant has almost doubled in size despite the FIM pruning from a few days ago, the branches are stretching vertically, while the plant resolves the apex pruning and the leaves are expanding enormously. I think this plant is going to create a great canopy of buds. I take this plant to the window after 14 hours of indoor light, these cloudy days are not helping me compact the plant as I would like, but I'm still going to keep doing it... I keep debating between indoor growing of photoperiod strains or autoflowering ones, mainly because of the need for many hours of light for the autos to get decent yields and the lack of control over the flowering transition, on the other hand, these strains are harvested in less time and there are some really beautiful strains. deFharo Welcome growers to the sixth week of life and the first of flowering for this autoflowering strain, grown untethered, in a 6L air-pot, with a mixed indoor/outdoor light schedule, careful homemade organic nutrition, lots of care and attention to make her a happy plant!! 😁 This week all the floral buds have burst, while vegetative growth continues. The watering consumption has increased, allowing me to water every two days. For now, the nutrition strategy is based on inoculating microbiology in the substrate and a very varied soluble fertilization in moderate doses, so that macro and micronutrients, as well as trace elements, vitamins, enzymes, etc., are not lacking. I alternate the nutrient waterings with pure water and molasses to enhance the dissolution of nutrients and minerals in the substrate, ensuring the good functioning of the rhizosphere. deFharo Welcome growers to the seventh week of life and the second week of flowering of this autoflowering strain, grown without ties, in a 6L air-pot, with a mixed light schedule of 12/12 indoors and outdoors, careful homemade organic nutrition, lots of care and attention to make her a happy plant!! 😁 In response to the burst of floral buds last week, I have done several waterings aimed at flower growth, I have also added a mix of solid, organic, and mineral elements to the substrate, so my girl has everything she needs! Vertical growth has slowed down, this week she has grown 5cm, she will finally be at an ideal size for me! The increase in watering consumption has been spectacular, the plant shows a vigor and strength that promises a great harvest. Currently, I keep this plant along with two others in a grow tent that I light for 12 hours, then I take all three plants to the windows where I manage to capture at least 7 hours of direct sunlight, practically due to the time of year these 3 autoflowering plants have light 24 hours a day. A couple of days ago I did LST ties on the branches and tips to shape the plant by opening up spaces, also improving light entry. Until next week... deFharo Welcome growers to the eighth week of life and the third week of flowering of this autoflowering strain, grown in a 6l air-pot, with a mixed indoor light schedule of 10/08 outdoor, careful homemade organic nutrition, lots of care and attention to make her a happy plant that gives me big buds to smoke this summer!! 😁 It's been a good week of cultivation, where the heat has been the main character, but this strain has endured the high temperatures thanks to good substrate hydration. Water consumption is very high, watering daily and misting the leaves with water at least twice a day. This week, 3 gentle waterings aimed at strengthening the crop, with inoculation of MM, seaweed Biol with Efficient MM, horsetail, and pumpkin Biol, plus another 4 waterings with spring water. The high water consumption can cause nutrient lockout due to excess organic matter not assimilated in the substrate, so I will be very careful with nutrient doses and strict with watering with pure water to maintain the health of the crop. The buds are getting thicker every day, and they also show great density; the compactness of the plant is optimal for my purposes, and there is no more vertical growth. Three days ago, I made important changes regarding the light hours. Until now, I kept the plants at 12h with indoor light and the rest of the day outside with at least 7h of direct sunlight, totaling 24h of light. I thought this might be a mistake, as the plants need to rest, so what I'm doing is putting them in darkness from 20:00h to 24:00, then 10h of indoor light (my cheap light schedule) and completing up to 18h of light with the plants in the windows. It takes a bit more work to move the pots, but I'm willing to do anything for the health of my girls!!✌️👨‍🌾🌞💧 I took advantage of the fact that red spiders appeared in another crop, and I made a foliar application with potassium soap as a preventive measure. I’m cultivating this strain with care and attention, in a 6L air-pot, with ties on the branches, in a mix of light substrates with minerals and activated with native microbiology collected from the virgin forests of my region; I feed it with soluble macro and micro nutrients created with anaerobic ferments and homemade hydrolysates, made with love and organic and mineral elements. I maintain a lot of good light in my grow tents, and my plants always have a hat (mulch) with dry matter to feed the microbiology and maintain optimal moisture levels on the surface... and here we go on the way to summer!! 💧🌞👨‍🌾 The plant has adapted very well to the 20/4 schedule I set last week. Of the four automatic plants I’m currently growing, this one is the most vigorous despite being a week younger than the others. It’s been a great week for fattening and flower formation; the buds are filling all the branches, the density is increasing day by day, and the aromas too... Water consumption remains very high; this week I’ve done four waterings, two with pure structured water and two with nutrients to boost flowering. I’ve also added a mix of solid components to the substrate so the plant can digest them little by little and not lack anything 😁. This week I’m doing foliar applications to all my crops every 48 hours with my potassium soap. Spiders have appeared in several crops, and one of them is very weakened. I intend to annihilate the successive generations of spiders; I keep finding younger spiders, which is a good sign. I will continue applying potassium soap for at least a week... we’ll see the evolution. Nothing more for this week, until next time... I’m cultivating this strain with care and attention, in a 6L air-pot, with ties on the branches, in a mix of light substrates with minerals and activated with native microbiology collected from the virgin forests of my region; I feed it with soluble macro and micronutrients created with homemade anaerobic ferments and hydrolyzed elements, made at home with organic and mineral components. I maintain a lot of good light in the grow tents, keeping it with 10 hours of indoor light, plus another 10 hours of outdoor light and four hours of rest. My plants always wear a hat (mulch), with dry matter to feed the microbiology and maintain optimal surface humidity levels, to facilitate the creation and maintenance of adventitious roots from the first centimeter of soil.... 💧🌞👨‍🌾 It's a good week for this crop, the buds are fattening and hardening, we finally got rid of the red spiders that started to appear on some leaves. I made several foliar applications with my potassium soap, washing the leaves with rainwater before the next soap application. The plant has held up very well, and the spiders have been annihilated, with no side effects on the leaves, unlike what happened with a friend whose plant I completely burned due to malpractice... the cultivation continues 🙄👨‍🌾🤞. During these rainy days, I took the plant outside to let the rainwater purify it and scare away the mites. The plant continues with a great metabolism, reflected in the high water consumption for irrigation, despite the drop in temperatures in recent days. All the branches have very thick and hard buds like rocks; at this rate, I expect much more growth!! Similarly, this week the aroma has intensified, pure mint and spicy smell, very intense. Currently, this plant has the strongest smell in my joy garden. 👃☝️ I strive to maintain a very functional and healthy root system, alternating irrigation with varied nutrients and structured pure water. The leaf mass remains intact to promote good photosynthesis... for now, I’m happy with the vigor of this strain and the evolution of the crop. Until next week... deFharo Hello marijuana growers, welcome to the seventh week of flowering and twelfth week of life for this autoflowering strain with indica dominance. I’m growing this strain with care and dedication, in a 6L air-pot, in a light substrate mix with minerals and activated with native microbiology collected from the virgin forests of my region; I feed it with soluble macro and micronutrients created with anaerobic ferments and homemade hydrolysates, made at home with organic and mineral elements. I maintain plenty of good light in the grow tents, keeping the plant with 10 hours of indoor light, plus another 10 hours of outdoor light and four hours of sleep. My plants always wear a hat (mulch), with dry matter to feed the microbiology and maintain optimal humidity levels on the surface, to facilitate the creation and maintenance of adventitious roots from the first centimeter of soil.... 💧🌞👨‍🌾 The cultivation continues to be stable, there is a high water consumption for irrigation, the plant maintains a good leaf mass, this week the flowers have shown swelling and I have fed it with three consecutive nutrient-rich waterings to enhance the growth and maturity of the buds. I discovered the beginning of rot on one of the central buds, I removed it and I’m staying vigilant, I made an application with horsetail to protect against fungi. Until next week... I grow this strain with care and attention, in a 6L air-pot, using a mix of light substrates with minerals, activated substrates with native microbiology collected from the virgin forests of my region, and always watered with pure mountain water.🏔️ I feed it with soluble macro and micronutrients created with anaerobic ferments and homemade hydrolysates, made at home with microbiology, organic elements, and minerals. My plants always wear a hat (mulch), with dry matter to feed the microbiology and maintain optimal surface humidity levels, to facilitate the creation and maintenance of adventitious roots from the very first centimeter of soil.... 💧🌞👨‍🌾 It's been a week of high temperatures, the plant consumes a lot of watering water, and is moving towards the zenith of its glory. Three waterings this week, two with just pure mountain water and one in between, with humic acids and extra potassium to bulk up the buds, along with all the macro and micronutrients from my fruit and mineral Biol with Efficient Microorganisms (BAL, MMA) to strengthen the crop and delay senescence. The plant has definitely come out of the blockage caused by applying very concentrated mixtures of my potassium soap, in my fight against spider mites; the mites disappeared, but the plant was affected and its metabolism slowed down for over a week. Now new floral shoots are appearing on the buds, and the leaf mass is maintained to favor great photosynthesis. Depending on the evolution of this next week, I will decide when to harvest it, but in the slowest case, it has two weeks at most left. Until next week... I have cultivated this strain with care and dedication, in a 6L air-pot, in a light substrate mix with minerals, activated substrates with indigenous microbiology collected from the virgin forests of my region, and always watered with pure mountain water.🏔️ I have fed it with soluble macro and micronutrients created with homemade anaerobic ferments and hydrolyzed materials, made at home with microbiology, organic elements, and minerals. I maintain plenty of good light in the grow tents, growing this plant with 10 hours of indoor light, plus another 10 hours of outdoor light and four hours of rest. My plants always wear a hat (mulch), with dry matter to feed the microbiology and maintain optimal surface humidity levels, to facilitate the creation and maintenance of adventitious roots from the very first centimeter of soil... 💧🌞👨‍🌾 Triple satisfaction when cutting this plant: 1) It frees up space in my grow tent in record time. 2) It ended the stress that autoflowering strains cause me in their swift race to fruit. 3) For the achieved goal of growing in a small pot, with a mixed indoor/outdoor schedule (10/10), which helped me save costs and achieve good production data. The plant has behaved with vigor and strength, a great drinker, and has gifted me thick, sticky, and dense buds... now they are drying for a week, and after a week of curing, I will publish the data and evaluations of the harvest. deFharo While I've spent the whole morning tasting joints of this herb, after 7 days of drying and 5 days in the curing jars, grappling with my prejudices against autoflowering plants, I try to smoke, touch, smell, and taste this strain with all the objectivity I can muster. 😈 The strain has met the cultivation and flowering time indicated by the producer, it was vigorous in all phases of growth, developed long intertwined leaves (too many), was attacked by spider mites, and I, with my uncontrolled homicidal instincts, burned some leaves by applying potassium soap in very high concentrations. Some portions of buds also suffered from botrytis, yet the plant held on with dignity and has given me a decent yield, considering the size of the pot (6l), the mixed indoor/outdoor schedule of 10/10/4, and the cultivation time. On the downside... after half a dozen joints of this strain 💨💨💨💨💨💨, I had to smoke another one of a sativa with 3 months of curing to definitely lift my morning, and after having buried my nose in the curing jars 😫👃😫 to the point of almost suffocation, I only found a lemony hay smell... after having delicately handled it. 👨‍🌾 EXTRA GROWING DATA (Statistics taken from my daily tracking.) Dry weight: 82g. Height: 50cm. 6l air-pot Days of cultivation: 98 Weeks of growth: 5 Weeks of flowering: 9 Space in the grow tent: 35x35cm (0.12m2) 💦 Watering statistics: Number of waterings: 40 Total liters of water: 38.5L Average EC: 0.90 Average pH: 6.61 🌾 PRODUCTION DATA: The gram/watt calculation for GD, for my growing method is not exact, because I grow different strains in the same space and in individual diaries. I cultivated this plant alongside three others in a tent with 339w of lights and fans. If I divide this power by the number of plants, I get a value of 74w per plant, which means the gram/watt percentage increases. 🏛️ GROW TENT SETUP: - Grow tent: Mars Hydro GT 70 🕐 Light schedule: 10/10/4h The plant has received 980h of artificial light and 1176h of sunlight. 🌞 CANOPY: Mars Hydro TS1000 (150w) Samsung LB301B 2700/660nm (47w) 💡 SIDE: LED panel 3000K/660nm (36w) LED panel 2000K/2800K (30w) UVA-B - 280-315-400nm (12w) 🔄 Extractor fans x2 (22w). 📈 TOTAL W: 296W /4 = 74W PER PLANT. Approximate total consumption: 72.52 kWh For actual watts (74w): 1.10g/w 💡 For GD watts (150w): 0.55g/w By height (50cm): 1.64g for each centimeter of height. By pot capacity (6l): 13.66g for each liter of soil. By square meter: 683g/m2. By cultivation time (14 weeks): 5.85g per week. 📅 By flowering weeks (9 weeks): 9.11g per week. 🌺 By watering volume (38.8l): 2.11g for each liter of water. By waterings (40): 2.05g for each watering done. 🚿 By hands: 41g with each hand ✋👋 Until the next grow... What is horsetail extract. My imagination goes to the extreme!😂😂😂 I got a 5 y old make soups out of various speciale ingredients, like rockjuice, moustache hairs from a rat and frog poo.😅😅😅 So im ready for everything! 😂😂😂 🙏🌿🌿🌿🙏

@Organic_LarF, hehehe, those ingredients of yours look like witchcraft ☝️😁😁😁 Horsetail (Equisetum arvense) is a shrub from which an extract is obtained, and it's a very effective eco-friendly fungicide. Honestly, I've started using it as a desperate remedy for my plants in advanced flowering, since I've burned one plant and two others have been marked from the intensive use of potassium soap. For the red spider mite, it seems to act as a repellent... I'll let you know.
