Craftman My plants are now 5 weeks old and I've decided to take some clones. I cut 15 clones from 2 plants and placed them under a 300-watt LED. Today is the 4th day and all 15 are still standing; I don't have much experience with this - at first, 3-5 survived out of 15, but the last 2 times all 15 made it. Unfortunately, I wasn't paying attention and when I opened the propagator, I pulled out a clone by mistake; I had a leaf pinched and when I lifted the lid, it got pulled out...

Craftman They have developed very well, and I repotted them into 2L aeropods. I would like to try LST once, so I cropped 8 of them; if everything goes well, I'll do the others too...

Craftman It looks pretty good so far, I've supported about half of the shoots and I'm waiting to do the next ones. Everything is okay so far, am I doing it right? I'm very satisfied so far, one is even growing 4 shoots directly and with 2 of them it looks like 3 are coming out.

Craftman They all grow at very different speeds, some already have 4 colas and others have nothing yet. But I think everything is as it should be, right? Feel free to give me a few more tips... I just took some cuttings again and took a photo of each one so you can give me specific tips for each individual plant...

Craftman They all grow at very different speeds and have different numbers of shoots, but overall I'm satisfied with the plants and the speed at which they're growing. The 4th week starts on Tuesday and most have had their last trim, so in the end, there will be 8 colas left in a circle... Very good development so far, 2 of them have 12 colas and except for 2 others, now all have more or less 8 colas. If it continues to go this well, I'll be transplanting them into 5.7L aeropots this week, which have holes all around so I can attach them nicely individually, and they will also have exactly the diameter of the pots, which is good for SoG... Today my nutrients from Advanced Nutrients arrived, I ordered a few things to get better roots and a better immune system... Today is June 11th, and I have transplanted them all into 5.7L aeropots, made the last trims, and removed all unnecessary leaves. When transplanting, I incorporated mycorrhizal fungi spores again because I wasn't satisfied with the root development so far. That's why I also bought Advanced Nutrients Piranha, Voodoo Juice, and Tarantula and have already administered them once. Let's see how long I let them grow in the veg tent now...

Craftman Now they just need to grow a bit bigger, with some love I might be able to put them into flowering next time. I'm done with the trimming and I'm more than satisfied with the result - they turned out really well... So, today the 6th week of veg starts and I'm done with the pruning, I think maybe another week to 10 days and I can put them into flowering - very nice...

Craftman Two days ago I fertilized them and they are reacting wonderfully to it. I installed a new ventilation system yesterday with a speed controller and thermostat because last week I had temperatures of up to 33 degrees Celsius in the small grow tent. Now everything is back to perfect; I have 23°C and 50% humidity in the grow tent and 60% and 24°C in the flowering tent, where I also installed a temperature-controlled ventilation system. You have much more control and both are running very quietly, that was definitely a good investment. I'm quite satisfied with the development so far, and as soon as I harvest tomorrow (5 Critical), I will move them into the flowering tent...

Craftman Everything is going great, I rearranged things yesterday and put the 12 Gelato into flowering. It's absolutely insane how fast they grew last week, but I have to say that I've been growing 100% organic the whole time and I'm now using Advanced Nutrients for the first time. So far, I've fertilized them twice, once last week and today to push them into flowering. For the first time trying LST and mainlining, it's going pretty well, and I'm curious about the difference...

I'm trying LST for the first time and have topped 8 out of 14. I wasn't sure if it's good to do it right after transplanting, so I haven't topped them all yet. Feel free to give me some tips on whether I'm doing everything right...

@DreamIT, Is it possible? It is the first time i try this technik, i didnt now so much from it, but I try the last month a Scog and have more as 30 plants in my 240×120 tent. Maybe it will be better wen i do this with LST and mainlining and 14 plants on one table 63 ×110. Waht do you think about it?

DreamIT commented5y ago
@Craftman, I don't know the measurements of your vases but it seems to fit well. I start 16 plants in mainlining within a few weeks, in 120x120. 5 cm away from the edge and 10 between one vase and another (these are the measurements I am taking in my box, 16 vases in a total of 6.5 liters, 20x20 cm square) consider that they will come out a little from the vase if do mainlining, but they all grow to the height you want :) It will be a good challenge, that's for sure: D

@DreamIT, Unfortunately, I only have a small grow tent where my mother plants are, and I have to start off with 2L aeropods. Only when I put my plants in the flowering tent (240×120) will I have enough space to transplant them into 5.7L pots. You should know that I work with 2 tents, a small one (90×120×159) where I let everything grow and a larger one (240×120×200) where everything is in bloom. Now, at the next full moon, 19 plants are ready for harvest. I make a batch of new clones or plant seeds every 4-6 weeks so that I can harvest a few plants approximately every 4 weeks. I put the first 10 into bloom on February 18th and since then have placed new ones into the flowering tent every 4 weeks. So it's practically always full and always enough is coming in. I have to manage with the space and hope that I can also prepare the mainlining in the 2L pots and I'm open to any practical suggestions...

Very nice! I've never worked with cuttings before, but I wish you good luck and that all 15 survive, and you get a fat, strongly smelling harvest. Happy growing, mate!

They r looking good bro 👌 how often do u water? They look pretty wet. The roots love oxygen. Best to let em dry out good in-between watering. Easiest way is lift your pots and go by weight
Rock_n_Roll_Randy
Rock_n_Roll_Randy commented5y ago
@Craftman,water them until it pours out the bottom and then let em dry out good. But water doesn't need to pour out the bottom when you fertilize them. Just plain water and it will help wash the soil of any build up. Fertilizer every 7 to 10 days. 8 or 9 is best. And just plain water in between. The roots need to get oxygen and if it's always wet they could rot

Craftman commented5y ago
@Rock_n_Roll_Randy, thanks for the tip, but I've already had problems with the big plants in the same pots when I only watered once a day, and I thought it's better to water daily but in smaller amounts. I watered for the last time yesterday morning and now I'm waiting until the pots feel light before I water again...
