She's slowly recovering from storm damage. Finally seeing new growth on the entire plant. Tying down limbs to keep it as hidden as possible in case anyone snoops around on my land. I caught 3 teenage boys out on the property at 2AM a few days ago. Even though I know they weren't looking for plants I am still not going to take any chances and will keep all my plants as hidden as possible.

I have the UTMOST sympathy for you... And can relate to your woes... even here in the Northeast, it's been one terrible TERRIBLE summer for growing outdoors - and, like you, I've vowed I'm never going to do it again. Bud rot got me... and we NEVER have humid weather except for a random day here and there... but not THIS summer!
Kudos to you for not just deleting your diary... I didn't delete my two that succumbed to bud rot... folks needs to know that sometimes you fail and that's ok... ESPECIALLY when Mother Nature is clearly to blame. I'm picking myself up after a dismal summer and starting again - INDOORS!
