June 30: historic heat wave. Hit 36 C yesterday, today and likely tomorrow.
July 1: was 37 C here today. Full foliar at dusk and starting to cut back on N from the fish fertilizer.

Hey mate aphids don't lay eggs, they give birth to live young, which by the way are female and they already maybe pregnant, eggs underneath leaves are more than likely to be caterpillars
@Gorillagardener, huh. I thought these were aphids when I saw them last year. I have seen one or two caterpillars this year but not for several weeks. Either way it doesn’t seem like much of a problem as there weren’t many and the plant will be harvested soon. Thanks for the info.
