This plant, and several others the same age, aren’t as tall as they should be due to the cold weather in mid-May. This plant should be about 3 feet tall but it is only 22 inches and has stopped growing taller.

Hey mate aphids don't lay eggs, they give birth to live young, which by the way are female and they already maybe pregnant, eggs underneath leaves are more than likely to be caterpillars
@Gorillagardener, huh. I thought these were aphids when I saw them last year. I have seen one or two caterpillars this year but not for several weeks. Either way it doesn’t seem like much of a problem as there weren’t many and the plant will be harvested soon. Thanks for the info.
