Started the seed off in a glass of water for 24 hours. I transferred to a paper towel for about 1.5 days, and this taproot had grown rapidly. She took off and sprouted quickly! (4/30)
This plant is by far my most vigorous seedling. It (along with Dr. G) have the biggest leaves of any seedling I've sprouted so far. I'm really excited to see how she continues to do in veg and then flower! Definitely looking like it will be more heavy on the Sativa side, based on the leaves.
This thing is continuing to grow like a monster. She more than doubled in height this week and really seems to be taking nutrients well! I'm definitely planning to clone this gal with the topping I'll be doing later this week!
I went ahead and topped her close to the beginning of the week. She responded well and is still continuing to grow quickly! I just defoliated as well. I removed a few of the largest fan leaves since they were blocking quite a bit of light from the lower growth.
Still growing like a monster. I removed a bunch of littler sucker branches after watching a video from Kyle Kushman. Tried to twist and pop a couple of branches. I think I'm starting understand defoliation a lot more and am realizing where I fucked up so far. Sending her into flower this week!
She's looking better this week. Something was off with the nutes last week, and the plant just wasn't loving it. This plant is my most scraggly and unstructured of the bunch, but she's honestly still doing really well! She's the slowest to show signs of pre-flower though. However, I can see pre-flowers forming!
* FINAL UPDATE*
Well, Bruce ended up herming on me. A noticed a few possible pollen sacks, and after some further inquiry, I confirmed she had hermed. I triple checked my tent for light leaks, but found nothing. I checked my other plants, and they are looking just fine, so I'm throwing this one up to genetics. I'm not sure the breeder, as this was a freebie seed I got from an order.
I removed the plant from the tent, just to avoid possible pollination. I'm probably going to chop her down soon, but am just letting her live in my room. I really loved this plant so I'm a bit bummed, but there's always next time!
