1st time hydro mimosa evo x orange punch

Robbaus Here we are at the first week of hydroponics in my life. I would say it's going very well after some initial hesitation mainly due to the transfer from the peat cube to the hydroponic system, as I had to wash the roots under running water from the peat to put them in the expanded clay. A few days to recover and to get the pH and EC in check, and now the results are showing! The pH has given me some trouble; it needs to be checked daily because it tends to rise slightly, but after lowering it every evening, it seems to have stabilized at the optimal value now. Well, all that's left is to wait for the week to progress, I'm extremely confident! 💪🏽🍀

Robbaus Interlocutory week, I definitely need to learn how to use fertilizers considering the EC. I made the mistake of adding too many ml of fertilizer, raising the EC to 1.8, a value I should keep at the end of the vegetative stage. By emptying half of the contents of each pot and topping up with tap water, I restored a normal EC, a bit high; I should be around 1-1.1 while I'm at 1.4. But given the problems I had, I thought it was better to leave everything as it is and see how the plants evolve. Two days have passed, and actually, they seem to be doing quite well. I see them growing much faster compared to my previous experiences with the classic soil pot. pH is under control. The color of the roots isn't exactly white, but I obviously need to gain experience. 💪🏽🍀👍🏽

Robbaus Great week! They're growing by leaps and bounds. I've hit the fourth internode and messed up; I usually do it earlier, but this time I have one less plant and I'm hoping that by doing so, I'll have more branching to direct more easily to my liking to cover the SCROG net, achieving the results I would get with four plants without stretching the vegetative phase too much. EC is steady at 1.5, and finally, I haven't had to adjust the pH anymore, and it's stable at 5.5. Let's see how they react to the topping; I think in two weeks I'll do another one on all the apicals so I can then put up the first net!

Robbaus First time I significantly topped off the 3 pots, about 5 liters each were missing. I realized a bit late that the EC had dropped a bit too much and the roots had slightly darkened. I decided to prepare the nutrient solution separately, and once I maintained an EC range of 1.7 and a pH of 5.5, I introduced it into the system. By doing this, I kept the values optimal. You should never lose sight of the EC and the water level; unfortunately, it happened, and I hope I managed to remedy it quickly.

Robbaus Very difficult week. I noticed too late the mold that was forming around the roots, I had to completely redo the nutrient solution, rinse the roots, and increase the enzymes, and I would say that a few days after the intervention they are doing great, they look very nice. I decided at the last minute to put up a first net for the scrog, to support the taller one in the area above the humidifier. Since I have 3 plants instead of 4, I have to try to cover the whole area anyway, while for the two smaller ones I did the topping on the apicals again to make sure they spread out well. We'll see, I'm moving differently than in previous times, I'll put up a second net instead of doing LST, I hope to achieve some nice results.

Robbaus Great week! They have practically doubled, I've never seen such fast growth! I changed the light hours to 12/12 a week ahead of schedule. Everything is going wonderfully, the only problem I might encounter is the heating of the water in the pots, I need to keep it under 28°C in the box, it won't be easy now that summer is coming. I'll keep the humidifier on until the end of flowering because it lowers the temperature by those degrees I need! For now, I've kept the same nutrient plan as the vegetative phase, as soon as they finish stretching I'll change the solution in each pot and we'll start with the flowering fertilizers, I really can't wait, so far the hydroponics choice has been a winner! 👍🏽💪🏽🍀🤣🤣😎😎

Robbaus Very, very difficult week. Due to high temperatures, I've developed quite a bit of mold on the part of the roots exposed to the air; the water inside the systems should be around 22 degrees, and I've reached 26. By increasing the power of the vaporizer that emits cool air and keeping the box open, I can stay within the parameters, but July will be tough for temperatures and a bit too high humidity. I still have about a month and a half to go; I hope to make it to the end of the harvest without issues. I will also try using Trichoderma for root cleaning; I hope it helps me. Anyway, in the last two days, I've recorded a significant improvement in the root system. As for the rest, everything is actually going great; the plants don't seem to have had any related issues and are finishing stretching after the light schedule change. I'm really satisfied with the situation. EC might be a bit low, but since I've just remade the nutrient solution, I'm holding off a few days before adding more fertilizers.

Robbaus Fantastic week! The flowers and the first hairs are finally starting to form! For the first time, I added a second net to help with the SCROG, and I'm really satisfied. I just had to leave a hole in the net to let the vaporizer through to keep the temperature in the box and consequently the water in the pots low. I solved the root mold problem thanks to the trichoderma and mycorrhizae; they're coming back like new after a not-so-great month in this regard. In fact, if it got worse, I risked not making it to the end of the harvest. I was a bit high with the EC, almost reaching 2.8, but I lowered it by topping off. There's a month left; we're in the crucial moment 😍😍🤩🤩😝😝🍀🍀🍀🔝🔝🔝💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Robbaus Hey everyone! This is a special week, the flowers have finally taken shape! They are beautiful, and I'm pleased to see that they have developed a lot and definitely faster than all the other times I've grown in soil, especially the pistils. I put in a second net for the SCROG, but I didn't calculate the stretch of the second week of flowering hours well, and I ended up too close to the LED. I should have flipped them to flowering a good week earlier to better manage the heights, but aside from that, everything is going great. You can even start to see the trichomes with the naked eye, even on the leaves closest to the flower; they will be excellent for the trim. Well, all that's left is to wait; I have just under a month left. The roots are milky white, the EC is normal, and the pH too. In about ten days or so, I'll think about emptying the 3 pots and making the solution one last time. 💪🏽🍀😎😜🍀🍀

Fantastic week, the buds are swelling at an incredible speed, there are trichomes everywhere and the pistils definitely seem longer than before, I think it’s due to the hydroponics. I’m noticing that everything is going much faster, I could have easily cut a week off the vegetative stage and I would have had the same apicals but just shorter, next time I’ll flip them to flowering earlier to keep them shorter, I risked LED burn on the taller apicals. But I’m really satisfied, the advanced nutrients are giving me great results, the outlook is for a very abundant harvest, I can’t wait! Just under a month to go!

Robbaus Hello everyone! I'm truly speechless about the amount of terpenes and trichomes, I've never had results like this. I have to say that the advanced nutrients line is doing its job, I've never smelled anything like this, you can even smell it outside the house. I've defoliated again between one net and another, removing all the unnecessary leaves to avoid mold risks (especially with the humidifier on) and to ensure that air and light can circulate freely. I think there are about 3 weeks left, starting next week I'll begin with the overdrive to make sure the plant starts to release everything it has. I'm really satisfied, at a loss for words. Next time I'll only put in two more pots and two strains, to reduce water and nutrient consumption, I've seen that I can manage it comfortably and more or less in the same timeframe, considering the excessive stretching this time. A shoutout to the strain, Barney's never disappoints but the Mimosa Evo is truly top-notch, last year I did the regular one, this time for Orange Punch, and I have to say it's the best strain I've grown so far. Robbaus Hey everyone! There was an unexpected acceleration, so I think I'm going to harvest a week earlier than planned! In 3 or 4 days, I'm cutting everything down! I've completely emptied the pots and only put in plain water to make sure the roots flush out all the remaining nutrients. Unfortunately, I have to report a small mold problem, definitely due to the humidifier (I had to keep it on to keep the temperature low) since it formed on the 8 tops of the plant closest to it. Unfortunately, I had to cut them off and throw them away almost entirely; I probably lost about twenty grams, maybe even 30. Note to self: next year in July, I shouldn't have anything and start the cycle in mid-August when temperatures are more manageable. Robbaus Hey everyone! I finally finished my first run in hydroponics. So, aside from the mistakes I anticipated, it's a really great method for growing. The obvious speed at which the plants grow stands out immediately, much more than the classic soil method. In its favor, I can also say that it keeps the grow box much cleaner without soil and all that. The pots to empty are practical, but I marked some notches to indicate the levels at different liters, so I can understand how to top up with water. Now for the downsides. Well, first of all, I absolutely wouldn't recommend it in July and August due to the temperatures; the water in the pot should be at a maximum of 22 degrees, and I was at least 5 degrees higher. Then, having 35 liters of water in 3 pots and 10 products to use at a rate of 2 ml/l, I can't say it's the most economical route. Although, you also have to consider that, especially in the vegetative stage, you top up the products even after 2 weeks, so there are long breaks between each time. I messed up calculating the stretch when I flipped them to flowering; they stretched at least double what I thought, and as a result, I didn't get nice big top buds, but a lot of flowers on the same branch, so I definitely lost out on visual impact. But this is something that depends on the speed of hydroponics; next time I'll know and will act accordingly. A very painful note: mold. I messed up trying to do it in the summer; it's too hot, and to mitigate the temperature, I even used a humidifier during flowering. Huge mistake, I threw away 60-70 grams. Last summer, I already had temperature issues, and next time I definitely won't grow; I was an idiot.
