10-05-2021: I am counting today as day One for Veg. Planning to hold them on 18/6 till the 20th of may (ten days) and then switch. Not sure if I will stress them a bit or not, time will tell. Yesterday was hot (26˚C) here so all values have shifted a bit. Won't be a problem as soon as they are on 12/12. Do you notice the lines (air/water) changing position on heat :) Didn't even notice that at first. Also pretty sure I need a more powerful chiller at the moment but will first make an attempt to replace the gas.
13-05-2021: Today I will be replacing my chiller. It doesn't keep up and the temperature of 28˚C is a bit too much. For the rest.. All great
15-05-2021: Added some paper sheets to reduce heat. Seem to work so today I'll go to hardware store and buy something to make a more permanent solution.... I have added some reflective foil to cover the boxes
17-05-2021: As you might have seen I have added some reflective foil to reduce heat on the water. This helps a lot. Growth is as expected but they are a bit on the bright side. Well yesterday the set EC was raised from 1.3 to 1.6 so probably new leaves will be a bit darker. Also added a bit of Calmag. Still great to see that as soon the roots touch the water the growth is exploding. Well yet 13 days till 12/12 so I am excited to see how big these ladies will be by then. Hoping for a seventh node before that.
18-05-2021: Today I dosed 18ml of H2O2 (50% silver stabilized). I have seen a few algae so if they are gone by tomorrow I keep this dose, if they are not I will give them a shock treatment of 50ml. In this system I don't have to worry about clogging (50mm tubes) but I also believe that if it is not necessary I shouldn't do it. Dosing is advised from the supplier based on tomatoes by the way.
19-05-2021: All survived the H2O2. Today I have added additional 18ml. Just to see what happens. Growth seems a bit faster last night
22-05-2021: Blue is not doing great... I hope they survive. Red is still OK
24-05-2021: Just a new week... cannot say I am totally happy with the Blueberry. Strange extremely compact growth totally not comparable with the Red Hot Cookies. Not sure if it is the strain or something else. Well next week they go to 12/12 anyway, will see what they will do. Maybe they stretch a bit more (I hope) but if they do not I can switch them so I can put my lights lower on the Cookies and a bit higher on the Blueberries.
25-05-2021: Recovering great... My hope is growing again... 5 days to recover before switching to 12/12...
29-05-2021: Still got my doubts about that one blueberry... Will she make it or not? Tomorrow switching to 12/12 and then we will see. Can't do anything about it now
30-05-2021: Red Hot cookies are doing well, Blueberry is still very tiny. Learned this week that it is possible to give to much water on hydro. So I have lowered the water level. Also dropped EC to 1.4
31-05-2021: Everything ok again. Roots are recovering from waterdamage, red ladies are growing very fast now and blue ladies are trying to catch up.
03-06-2021: Doing great. RHC are getting bigger, Blueberry want yield much I am afraid. But they are still growing so I let them just to see what happens
Well no HST or LST this round. They are experiencing more then enough stress already I believe. Not my best round for sure.
09-06-2021: They are recovering but very slowly. Still hoping for a little yield
13-06-2021: Not very satisfied but let them go for educational purposes. Learning a lot of this round because I see what every change does. So as long sas thy are alive I will keep them.
22-06-2021: Worst round ever but learning a lot from this. That is one reason not to abort this one. Still hoping for a harvest so sit back and enjoy all my faults...
29-06-2021: Finally something good in this grow. Buds are coming and developing great. Probably some more at the end of the week.
04-07-2021: Buds are swelling now... Finally some good news
18-07-2021: Not everything as hoped but we are almost there with my worst round ever. But there is some red showing on the Red Hot Cookies so I am allright because that is all I wanted to achieve. Harvest won't be great but I have almost achieved my most important goal. Harvest a hydro round. Lowered EC from today on to 1.2. Will start flushing next week.
Well this round almost comes to an end. Not great, will certainly scrog next time. But learned a lot from this round and made some notes for further improvement. Next round will probably be a Red Poison from Sweet Seeds. Started to flush yesterday
Just a few days left for the red hot Cookies. One is red, one is not. Looking great despite the small plants. Learned a lot from this round, thinking to chop them Sunday/monday. Smells delicious so very curious about the taste.
