Looking exactly how I want her to look, really likes the Canna nutrients.
The 100w ceramic heat lamp is doing a great job of raising temperatures, popped in a couple of 23w Cfl globes in also.
Going along nicely, raised the light a tad to get a bit more stretch. As it's my first indoor, autoflower, and small pot grow, I won't be topping or tying the whole plant down. I will however, LST the side branches, which is why a bit more stretch would be nice. Everything about this plant is new to me, having only ever grown outdoor photoperiod plants so I'm probably overthinking.
Nevertheless, she's healthy, so I'm happy 👍
Feeding about twice a week on a mild dose.
Another week of healthy growth, still quite compact but on day 30 I was able to tie two side branches down slightly. I'm not going to bother it too much, I'm just happy to complete my first indoor grow.
I expect to see some pistils any day now.
First preflowers on day 30.
Lots of pistils popping up, so it's safe to say we're into flower mode.
Added more lights around the edges for better coverage.
Very strong smell on day 40, hits you right in the face!
Was able to do a little more last chance LST, a little droopy afterwards 🤔
It's a bit of a battle trying to keep humidity under control, with all the wet weather outside.
Might have to grab a cheap dehumidifier online.
Switched to flower nutrients this week.
Lovely, strong, smell at the start of this week.
Started adding Rock Resinator at mild dose, see how the plant reacts before I give more.
I almost did some defoliation, but chickened out. I'm being more adventurous with my other plant.
Mini dehumidifier arrived, not a bug enough drop though. Circulating fan on 24/7 now, exhaust fan is 24/7 from seed.
Seems to have no issues with the Rock nutrients, so I've gone from 0.5 ml to 1ml. My outdoor photoperiods loved the stuff, but I was too conservative in the beginning.
Buds starting to bulk up, everything seems in order. I'm still unable to lower humidity enough, I've lowered it a bit, but it's been at 80% outside for two weeks now. Turning the fan up merely brings in more damp air.
Day 60, we've seen a drop in humidity in the nick of time.
Some of the older leaves starting to degrade, I may have gone a little too hard on the nutes.
Day 61, I received a second Ts600, extra light for both plants.
A little bit of nutrient burn towards the end of last week, so I'll ease off for a couple of days. I hadn't realised that the calmag that I purchased was choc full of N.
The buds are fattening up nicely, pretty happy with what I'm seeing, considering I'm only using a 3L Pot.
This feels like the week that the buds will do most of their swelling, significant growth over the last few days.
Leaves slowly degrading, I'm not sure if this is part of its cycle, or nutrient burn. I'm not used to auto's, but she's flowering nicely so I'm not too worried.
Hopefully I can dust off the microscope soon!
Day 76, lower leaves dying off.
Another week down, not long to go now.
The plant is sucking nutes from the leaves at a rate of knotts, I might feed twice a day and see if I can buy it some more time.
I've begun snipping some of the bigger leaves as humidity is still too high, but airflow is perfect.
Looking pretty good though, smells awesome.
We're on the home stretch now.
I've been removing leaves everyday so that air can circulate well.
Trichombes getting cloudier each day, should see some amber soon, I expect to harvest in 7-14 days.
Just waiting on some amber now.
In the past, I've always had a tendency to harvest early, mainly due to the anxiety of my neighbour dobbing me in.
That's why I'm very keen to get some properly ripened buds, that and to help with some of my pain issues.
I don't think we're more than a week away now, can't wait to see what weight I get from a 3L Pot.
Day 97, still not much Amber, hurry up I need the space!
Days away now, leaves are yellowing more each day. Not sure if I'll get to 20% amber, probably about 10% now, but she's ripening fast.
Day 99, boy did she Amber up fast, harvest day!
Harvested day 99, report to come when dry and tested. I'm no good at judging weight, so only time will tell, looks reasonable.
My par score was 1oz, but hoping for a bit more.
30/8/21- just waiting on a two week cure before I finalise this diary.
This was a great strain for a first time autoflower grower. No real issues to speak of. I expected a slight higher yield, but that's due to my reluctance to LST. I still have 4 seeds left, so I'll grow again and be more aggressive.
A fun and educational first indoor, autoflower grow. Very forgiving when watering mistakes are made, can handle low temps well.
I'll be far more aggressive with training techniques next time to maximise yield.
