Hi everyone. Getting ready for another round. I wanted to plant some hazes this grow, but I don't have the time for 12-14+ weeks of flowering this summer, so the hazes get put on hold until the fall/winter. I've been watering these once-twice a day using the flood and drain technique. Simply flooding the tray with an inch or two of water to let the bottom of the net cups soak for 10 minutes, then drain. Ph'd water with a few drops of grow and micro (EC .4-.5). I will have to move them to reservoirs very soon. I was having some low temp issues, so I picked up a 50w ceramic heat lamp. Works great, no light and keeps the seedlings warm. I finally moved them to their own reservoirs on Day 10... way too long, but life had me busy. I killed 2 plants. 1 Lazy Lightning looked sickly and yellowing and 1 Sky Lotus I dropped a light on.. The light is ok but the the seedling didn't make it. With death comes more life! I started 3 more seeds, 2 strains. I will add them to this diary officially once they pop up and look decent. The strains are Purple Turban by Mz Jill Genetics (Headband x Purple Afghani Kush) Feminized Purple Hindu Kush x Durban by AK Bean Brains. Regular. Supposedly the Durban is Super Sativa Seed Club original stock.. not that I would know the difference as I have only had Durban once 😂. Lazy Lightning: Crosses Loompa's Headband x Bodhi's 88 G13 Hashplant Male and is really serious OG Kush/Hashplant Hybrid! This is the perfect strain if you are looking for earthy, hashy, lemon-pine nuggetry. Sky Lotus: A delicious hybrid of Mazar x Blueberry OG (f.k.a. Skywalker OG) and Snow Lotus. This Goji OG variant using one of California's best, the Skywalker OG cut, big, hardy, potent and beautiful. Expect a stockier robust Goji like plant with lemon pinesol berry aromas and flavors and another stronger shimmering pure berry pheno. Thanks for stopping by!! 🚀🚀

Tough week for the babies! As I mentioned last week, I was feeding them with a spray bottle because I didn't have time to give them a proper setup for the first 10 days. This caused some slow root growth and now some are looking a bit funky., but they are pushing through. The PHK x Durban and Purple Turban will be added to this journal.I guess this drives home the point that I should make sure I have my veg tent setup before germinating and trying to rush the everything. I hope the DWC magic comes through in the next couple weeks and these take off. I plan to move them to flower in about 10 days 😵.. I need to harvest by August 10, so that will give them 70-75+ days of flower. Lazy Lightning: Crosses Loompa's Headband x Bodhi's 88 G13 Hashplant Male and is really serious OG Kush/Hashplant Hybrid! Much better week!! A couple stragglers, but I've seen some plants look funky early and become beasts in flower. Feed is around EC .9. I plan to increase it to 1.0 later today and flip them to flower in about 2 days. I haven't done a reservoir change yet. I found that early changes often lead to some root rot. Something about the change messes with the roots. Maybe it is water temp (too low?), the shock of a new environment, maybe the roots rely on the beneficials in the water early as they don't have much of their own defenses and it lets the bad shit take over for a few days.. maybe a little bit of everything combined. IDK rambling. All the seeds are regular except the Purple Turban, so I am having them sex tested. I clipped a small part of a fan leaf and mailed it out to DC. Hopefully I will have my results in a couple days. Figure it will save me 2 weeks of space, time, and wondering WTF they are. Yesterday I added another light, so now I have a 135w Rspec and Bspec quantum board in the 3 x 3 turned down to about 100 watts each. I had them all the way up but it got way too hot. Added some pictures from last week to show the root growth in 7 days. Pretty cool. 😎 Starting flower in a few days. See you later! Strain Info: Lazy Lightning - Bodhi: Loompa's Headband x Bodhi's 88 G13 Hashplant Male and is really serious OG Kush/Hashplant Hybrid! This is the perfect strain if you are looking for earthy, hashy, lemon-pine nuggetry. Sky Lotus - Bodhi: A delicious hybrid of Mazar x Blueberry OG (f.k.a. Skywalker OG) x Snow Lotus. Expect a stockier robust Goji like plant with lemon pinesol berry aromas and flavors and another stronger shimmering pure berry pheno. Purple Hindu Kush x Durban - AK Bean Brains: Durban is Super Sativa Seed Club (SSSC) original stock breeder bred to F3. This plant is excellent for producing exemplary concentrates of extreme potency (especially rosin). Heavy metallic terps are the norm Purple Turban (Headband x Purple Afghani Kush) - MzJill Genetics: A sweet union of Headband and Purple Afghani. The result is a beautiful flower with formed tight emerald green spearhead calyxes with occasional eggplant accented water leaves, brick red pistils, medium-length thick-stemmed trichomes with large heads. Characterized by smooth, lemon, grapes, diesel and earthiness flavors and aromas. Thanks for stopping by!! 🚀🚀

Increased the feed to EC 1.1 this week. I still haven't done a reservoir change since the beginning, about 21 days now. I've been waiting for the sex tests to come back before I did any reservoir swaps. USPS is SLOWWWW and took 5 days longer than expected to get to its destination, guess I should have used UPS. I got an e-mail though and should receive the results today. Nothing else really going on. I killed a lazy lightning because it was dampening off (she was a female too 😪). I have to stop top feeding on the starter plug. I am still using 1 Bspec and 1 Rspec quantum boards. I will switch to 2red spec lights in a couple days. Hopefully I will be able to change the reservoirs tomorrow to switch to bloom nutrients and increase the feed to EC 1.2-1.3. Looks like I have 1 dif pheno on the Sky Lotus. Hopefully she is a female as well as 1 of the other large plants so I can have some more variety. Got my results today! Luckily I have at least 2 sky lotus females, 1 of each pheno, pretty happy right now 😁. The bigger Sky Lotus and the bigger PHK x Durban naturally are males. I didn't sex test the runts, but I will probably keep 1 just to see what happens. So at least 5 females to include the feminized Purple Turban. They will fill this tent out nicely and probably move to the 4 x 4 in 2 weeks or so. It has been hot in New England over the passed few days. Tent temps are getting up to 82-84f (27-28c) for an hour or two before lights out and the night period has been staying warm also 76-78f. Surprisingly my water temps are staying pretty low (68-71f). I guess the coolers work in keeping the temps down. I did have some root issues with my Purple Turban and 1 Sky Lotus. I broke a nice thick root off the front Sky Lotus and I thought she would be screwed. I really had my mind set on killing the entire cooler and putting my efforts into the other plants... but she didn't seem to give a fuck. New roots are popping out of the net cup and I don't see any problems on the leaves. I am thankful it happened this early in flower and hopefully the stress from the defoliation doesn't hurt her. I will add some root pics tomorrow if I have time. Almost every time I do a change before the plants have a nice root ball, it seems to happen. Maybe it is my well water, but I am taking a much needed break after this grow and I will go overboard on sanitizing everything and we will see what happens in the fall. Maybe I will go sterile reservoirs or just make life easy and switch to coco. Pushed EC to 1.2-1.3. PPMs hanging out around 630-660. I had a small EC drop here and there, but I topped them off with some more bloom and micro. I am not thrilled with the plants in my big tent, so I am making a few changes to my feed schedule. I was following Remo and I think it is a bit too much bloom booster and the K locks stuff out. This grow I am increasing my bloom, micro, cal-mag, and going to keep the astroflower at 2.5-3.75ml/gal instead of the 5ml/gal I used last time. Also I am going to try to keep the PH a little lower, 5.9-6.1 vs 6.1-6.3 and let it naturally rise (hopefully) to 6.3/4 and then bring it back down to 5.9/6.0. Time to hit them with some Trifecta Crop Control before lights out. Peace! 🚀🚀🚀🚀

Week 3 of flower done. A lot of growth this week. They are probably 7-10 days behind where they would be if they had a full veg, so hopefully I start to see some bud growth soon. Good news is there is still another 2+weeks of stretching. Another week in the 3 x 3 and then they go into my 4 x 4 with more light and space. Lollipopped all the plants (only removed the lower bud sites and kept most fan leaves, energy!) on F14 and F19 or 20. As I said above, another 2 weeks of stretching and I want to push all the energy to the tops. I haven't done much with the food. It seems that EC 1.3 is right where they should be, sometimes the PPMs rise a little, sometimes go down. PH is 6-6.2 (started at 5.8/5.9) depending on the reservoir. Purple Turban - sporting some leaf issues. I think it is a combination of the root problems last week and the fan being so close. PHK x Durban - Small fella, but she has a decent amount of tops. Lazy Lightning - Eating the most, PPMs are dropping slightly every couple days from 650-620 (EC 1.3). Dark leaves and she is thick SL - Both are doing pretty well. I pushed the tops down over the last couple weeks and the sides came up pretty even. 👍👍 to strains that are easier to train. Peace! 🚀🚀

Moving along nicely. Responded well to the Lollipopping and put on 10" in the last 2 weeks. Res changes yesterday.. it has been another 3 weeks since my last change. I culled the PHK and Purple Turban. It was too much in the smaller tent and didn't feel like dealing with 3 reservoirs all summer. Plus culling them allows the other 3 plants take over the space. I have more seeds, so I will revisit those strains in the winter or spring. EC 1.3 - PH 5.9-6.1 Humidity is getting a bit high 60-65% Temps 77-81 lights on, 69-73 off. Peace! 🚀🚀

Updating a day early this week. F34 since flip to 12/12. These are stretching still and hopefully they are almost done. They are growing about an inch a day now. 20+ inches over the last 21 days. I did some defoliation a couple days ago to see if it would slow them down plus I wanted to open up the canopy for airflow/humidity problems. It didn't slow them down at all. The Sky Lotus is getting 12-13" from my light, so I keep having to raise it every couple days. I really thought they would be done stretching by now, but I guess it means more bud so I can't complain too much. It seems like they are feeding great. PPMs started around 650 (EC 1.3) and rose about 10 every couple days and the PH rose .1 every day or two. EC 1.3-1.4 PH 5.8-6.25 Trying to keep the PH at 6.0 (+/- .2) Enjoy this heat! 🚀🚀

Easy week. Seems like they are finally slowing down, only 2-3" of growth this week. F41 since flip to 12/12. I will probably give them another 30-35 days. Lazy Lighting - 28" Sky Lotus - 29-31" EC 1.3 PH 5.9-6.1 The feed is staying pretty stable at EC 1.3. The Lazy lightning is having some leaf tips burning and some spotting, probably from a slight overfeed. It's been 2 weeks since my last reservoir change, so I want to do 1 soon. Overall everything looks pretty good. My main concern is "Is there is enough light?" I am using 2x 135w quantum boards. I could move them to my 4 x 4, but meh, let's see what happens. Hopefully the buds are nice and dense and not too airy. Only 1 way to find out and if it doesn't work, I won't flower 3 plants in the 3 x 3 again unless I make improvements. 👊 Enjoy your week! 🚀🚀

Another very nice week! F48 since flip to flower. I did a res change early this week and had a PH drop to 5.6ish, so I slowly brought the PH back up to 5.9-6 over 2 days and they have been stable at PH 5.9-6.1 for the rest of the week. I think I was a little heavy handed with the PH down this time, but at least they got a full range of micros this week. PH 5.9-6.1 - except for a 1-2 days at 5.6-5.8 EC 1.3 - PPMs rise from 650ish to 670-700 every couple days, so I have been topping off the reservoirs with some water. I increased the P/K booster to 60% of Bloom/micro. At the end of the week I will probably move them to a 11/13 light schedule. Hopefully that will tell them fall is coming and encourage them to finish a little faster as I want these done in 30 days or less. Sky Lotus - I have 2 different phenos as you can see. The front sky lotus has a cool looking bud structure and every time I open the tent I smell sweet berries. The front 1 must be very blueberry leaning. Excited to see how the terps develop on it. Lazy Lightning - Growing fat cone shaped buds that smell sour and some spices. I think she got a little too much N and maybe wanted more P/K... I'm not exactly sure what the leaves are telling me here. Catch ya next week! 🚀🚀

55 days since the flip to flower. Easy going! I am harvesting them in 3 weeks, so hopefully they hurry up and finish. I think they will need 4 weeks, but that isn't an option. They are in need of another reservoir change, it has been about 2 weeks. These plants I have been very hands off with, checking the reservoirs every 2-3 days and changes every 2-3 weeks. I mentioned switching to a longer night period (11/13) last week to help the finish faster, but I have seen conflicting information online about it, so I am not sure it will help. I am going to do it anyways, but wait for the last 2 weeks. I want to give them as much light as possible, until the switch to 11/13 of course, so next week I will make the change to 11/13. Feed: EC 1.3 and rises to 1.4 every couple days PH 5.8-6.1. PH has been ranging from 5.8-6.1 Lazy Lightning - Getting fat, chugging along well. Looks like she is sucking up all 135 watts on the QB lol. Sky Lotus - Amazing sweet smells coming off the front one. Every time I open the tent I get hit in the face and definitely the smelliest of the group. Can't wait to see the differences the effects and cure between the 2. Thanks for stopping by! 🚀🚀

Day 64 since the flip to flower. I switched them to 11/13 a few days ago to try and have them finish a little faster. I am harvesting all the plants in about 2 weeks and I don't think the Sky Lotuses will be ready. Stinks, but they will have to be harvested a little early. I did a res change finally and the EC seems to rise from 1.3-1.4. Maybe since I lowered the amount of light the plants get they are eating less... or just a coincidence. Otherwise, plants are doing great. Nice smells, sticky fingers, and frosty. Thanks for stopping by! 🚀🚀

10 weeks since the flip to flower (69 days to be exact). These have about 6 days left with 24 hours of darkness. Not sure the extended darkness does anything, but harvesting after the dark period is the best and my lights turn on at midnight. No way I am harvesting them that late at night, so the lights will stay off until the morning. It will be a little early for the Sky Lotuses as they probably need 2 more weeks, but the Lazy Lightning is about ready. Almost all cloudy trichomes on the Lazy Lightning, probably some amber if I look hard enough. The Sky Lotuses have a good amount of cloudy, but looking at the buds themselves, they still will need time to bake. I brought the EC down to 1.2 and over 2 days it rose to 1.3-1.4. I will do a reservoir change in the next day or two to bring the EC down to .8-1, then only add water to bring the EC lower. This way there won't be excess nutrients or salts built up in the res. They don't eat much the last week, so I don't want to overfeed this late. I don't do a full flush because it doesn't do anything in DWC as I have not seen a correlation with flushing and how smooth my smoke is. I find it has more to do with the dry, cure, and not heavily overfeeding throughout the grow. Starving the plants the last week might look pretty cause all the leaves change, but it sure as shit doesn't make my buds smell or taste better. Slow dry and nice cure 😁. Not sure when I will update this journal again, probably in 3-4 weeks after they dry and some cure time. I am taking the rest of the month off from growing, so I will be back regularly in September. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your summer!! 🚀🚀

I pulled these plants about 10 days early because I had a vacation booked. I gave them a very short veg and put them into flower about a month from the start. 2 weeks before harvest I switched them to 11/13 light schedule to try and finish them faster. There is no way of knowing if the light schedule change did anything positive, but it made me feel better. They still produced very well: SL: 115 grams SLB: 105 grams = 220 grams total The OG leaning Sky lotus had a denser bud structure, but this was the least mature of the 3 plants in the tent. Smells and effects are great: mostly pine and lemon with some gas. A very relaxing smoke. The bud structure on the Berry smelling pheno was much different than the back sky lotus plant. The buds are airy, but sticky and covered in trichomes. The effects + smells make up for the bud structure. I would prefer a denser bud, but it could be I needed more light as I only had 135 watts (270 watts total) on that side of the tent for 2 plants. Thanks for stopping by and catch ya later for my next grow! 🚀

Like the other plants, she was given a short veg (3 weeks) and put into flower. She grew vigorous and produced well given the short veg. All the plants started to show buds around F20-25. I harvested all the plants F77. 2 weeks before the harvest I switched to an 11/13 light schedule to try and push them to mature faster. Lazy Lightning - 120 grams Sky Lotus A - 115 grams Sky Lotus B - 105 grams = 340 grams total Lights- 135watt QB x 2 = 270 watts Tent - 3 x 3 AC Infinity 4 gallon DWC The lazy lightning was the most mature out of the 3 plants. I probably took her 3-5 days early compared to 10-14 on the Sky lotus plants. She still provides great effects. As I mentioned above, extremely relaxing and chill. Thanks for checking out my diary and have a great day! 🚀🚀
