Tuki3 I thought the vegetative phase was taking a bit long, but I moved the panel away from the plant, and it changed a lot. You can see the difference in the following week.

Tuki3 Little update, here’s how the little one is doing: 👉 On day 12/5, I transplanted from a 0.5L pot to an 8L one. 👉 Yesterday, 13/5, I applied LST, and today, 14/5, we can already see how it bent to keep reaching for the light... 👉 Something I noticed is that the little one is asking for water, and once I give it, it perks up and looks beautiful! 🙌 I’ll keep posting weekly! 🙌

Tuki3 Guys, I left where I have the plant, and my girlfriend is in charge. I'm telling her how she should do it, and so far it's going great! Many buds can be seen still coming up; the idea is to shape the structure a bit more. The photos with circles, I wanted to trim them, at least the bottom part since they are leaves that cover a bit. Any tips/recommendations are more than welcome!

Tuki3 Little update! We moved to Pre Flora! Now we have 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness, and little by little you can see the "pistils" (I know that's not the name, but it's what you can observe when sexing the plant). It's looking really nice and has gained good size for the indoor space I have (50x50x110). We'll see how it evolves in the coming weeks!

Tuki3 We applied a bit of LST to the beautiful #BubbaSlush. Beautiful branching, but I had to defoliate because it wasn't allowing more light to get into the center. Quite a sweet coffee smell 😵‍💫

Tuki3 More pistils are starting to appear and it looks like it's coming in strong! Unfortunately, one strip of LEDs on the panel burned out (actually a row and a half) 😰 But hey, now I need to save up and invest in a better one! 💪 It's looking really nice, I hope the panel holds up for the remaining weeks until flowering. I'll upload more photos later.

Tuki3 As you can see, some chips from the Chinese quantum board got burned. The new panel is arriving this coming week, so we won't lose much time. Even though it was a pretty complete defoliation and all in one go, it didn't stress out at all. It's looking beautiful!

Tuki3 Little update! Just starting week 4, but check out how happy she is with the new quantum board panel! Amazing!! Now yes! You can see many more pistils, and new smells are starting to appear, still a lot of green smell though 😅. When I installed the panel, I had it 10cm away, but I thought about moving it further away so it reaches the rest a bit more.

Do you recommend removing any other leaves? That aren't "serving" much?

Organomananswered grow question 5y ago
Maximum amount of healthy green leaves = maximum energy production = maximum growth. It is that simple. Besides, if your plant did not need those leaves, it would not have grown them in the first place! You are far better to do some light, well considered "lollipopping" of small inner growths than you are to implement any major defoliation. Your plant needs every healthy green leaf it has, to make the energy she needs to grow her biggest and best flowers. "Tucking" or repositioning leaves is also a more wise technique than defoliation. Hope this helps, Organoman. (and anti defoliation psychopath!)

Tuki3 Hey folks, how's it going? Hope you're doing well. Well, I think next week it will start to fatten up, it's already giving off a nice orange bubblegum smell, really a very nice scent, lots of trichomes on the leaves and not much more to add!

Tuki3 Now the beautiful part of flowering has begun, I'm starting to see the calyxes a bit more, and little by little the pistils are oxidizing, it's honestly gorgeous. It has an orange candy aroma, I hope the flavor is the same! Super happy with the Bubba!

Tuki3 I started checking the diary and I put them in flowering two weeks ago, but it wasn't. And based on that, I thought the little plant was taking a bit longer... The buds aren't that big, but they are super hard, which I loved. It has an orange caramel aroma like I mentioned last week. Now it's more noticeable, and I can smell a bit of gas, but it's beautiful. I'm going to give it about 3 or 4 weeks to see how much it grows. Maybe this weekend I'll water again with the product, but after that, I'll just use water.

Tuki3 Hey folks, how's it going? Well, thanks to checking on the plant every hour or two, I noticed that one of the tips was white but "weird." I took it outside to soak up some sun and get more wind, and that's when I saw the fungus as you can see in the video. Thank God it was only on that tip, not even on the whole branch, so I checked how far it had "spread" and cut it off. A friend who studies chemistry, medicine, and really likes biology told me that Botrytis isn't a pathogenic fungus (or something like that) and that with heat it's possible to kill it; it's not as harmful as many say/think. So to "kill" the fungus, we turned on the oven to a temperature where we could put our hand in without burning ourselves, turned it off, and put the bud with the fungus in a dish, leaving it until it cooled down on its own. I repeated the process two more times (always heating before putting in the bud) and they turned into a rock, they didn't give in at any moment, which, despite losing one head, made me happy for not losing size. The thing is, one part was saved without fungus, and we had no other choice but to smoke it hahaha. It's really an intense trip, it leaves your frontal part (behind the forehead) kind of vibrating, it gets you really high, but if you start talking, you don't get lost, you can engage in any topic you want, all this without drying properly and without curing! Conclusion: For the next grow, I'm going to add another fan, one for extraction and another for intake so that fungus doesn't come back. Cheers!!

Tuki3 I forgot to upload these photos over the weekend, so I'm doing it now! 🙏 It was the last little week of the BubbaSlush. In one of the photos, you can see a tiny bud (I took it from a side branch to dry it and bring it to my brother who lives in another city). It's incredible the amount of trichomes it has; it's the first plant I have with such resin production really! Totally amazed. P.S: I had to smoke it because I couldn't hold back, and the high it gives is really good, it leaves me feeling really spaced out but at the same time allows me to start a conversation and keep it going. All this from a bud cut early and dried, not even cured.

Tuki3 I really didn't set any expectations, I just let it flow. For the next grow, I already know I need more ventilation, and maybe a pH and EC meter. I really didn't expect this final result from the buds, it's my first time with the panel (using one for veg and the Quantum for the end) and using Holistic salts, 100% satisfied!!! In a few weeks, I'll upload some more photos of the dried and cured flowers and I'll also share how the taste and potency are! Hope you liked it!

@Tuki3, if it's a deficiency, the yellowing starts from the bottom up; if it's excess, it starts from the top down. Do you understand? The color can be normal for how long it's been flowering, and remember that flowering nutrients have almost no nitrogen, and if the plant needs it, it will consume itself. That could be it! Did you measure the runoff EC? That gives you the exact data on how many salts you have in the soil, and with that result, you know if it's overfed or not!
Tuki3
Tuki3 commented5y ago
@JuanHaze_Arg, I totally understand you! It could be something like that, I really don't have an EC or pH meter, but next time I plan to buy one, I just didn't have the budget. Supposedly these products don't need pH measurement and I think EC either, but well, if I messed up the timing that could be why... the flowering one has an NPK of 8 - 6 - 44, it has low nitrogen... anyway, it looks pretty good, just a few leaves... but thanks for the response! I'm going to see if for the next plant (after I harvest this one) I can get one so I can do the grow better!
JuanHaze_Arg
JuanHaze_Arg commented5y ago
@Tuki3, you're welcome! At first, I didn't have any meters either, then I added the pH meter and another year the EC meter. The problem is that in Argentina, the tap water has different EC levels; for example, in Junin where I live, it comes out with an EC of 1300. That's super high, the normal is 400 for the plant, so in my case, if I water with a base water of 1300 and then add fertilizers, it goes up to 2000 and I've messed it up! The plant has salts it doesn't need, and they're just loading the substrate for no reason, so that's why you should measure the EC if you're fertilizing! That's my point of view and my situation hahaha Hug, Tuki

Paaaa!! Tuki dear, what a shame brother! Supposedly the botrytis fungus proliferates when there’s a bit of wind and the temperature drops sharply between night and day. Last year I had the same thing happen to me two weeks before harvest; as soon as I did the root wash, it seemed like it didn’t like the excess water at all and it only affected one bud. After a few days, more fungi sprouted on the rest of the buds. Next time, in addition to fans that move the air 24/7, add some antifungal or trichoderma to avoid this fungus crap! How nice that you're taking a trip like that! Hahaha Big hug and keep your spirits up! I know how it feels!!!!
Tuki3
Tuki3 commented5y ago
@JuanHaze_Arg, Hey buddy! yeah, it's really a disaster, but oh well! I'm not going to get down about it, these are experiences I need to go through to learn! You know, there were a few days of really high humidity, and since I don't have enough ventilation, that happened. Luckily, it was only on one bud, what I did was cut it off, as you can see in the photo... I just checked again, and so far nothing 🙏. Now next week I'm traveling to Uruguay (to visit my family) and I cut a little branch to let it dry (or at least a bit), and share it with my brother. It really hits hard! I can't even imagine what it's going to be like when it's fully ready! What I don't know is if you recommend that I keep cutting it in parts, because there's still a bit left on the lower branches and well, maybe I'll cut a little and leave a little more... For next time I'll make a hole in the cabinet, one for intake and another for exhaust... I would put a small fan in there but I don't know if it fits anywhere. Anyway, I think with that it will work well! Thank you so much, dear!!
JuanHaze_Arg
JuanHaze_Arg commented5y ago
@Tuki3, of course! You learn from mistakes and no one gets it right all the time! Hahaha Some cut in parts, others all at once. When you cut it all at once, you'll have some different effects between the buds on top and the ones on the bottom; generally, the ones on the bottom are lighter and more giggly, so to speak. I cut when I see some amber through the microscope, that's when I cut it. For the internal fan, I put two PC coolers pointing down from the ceiling to the side of the lamp, and it worked!
Tuki3
Tuki3 commented5y ago
@JuanHaze_Arg, Hahaha totally! I might go for it in parts because just like you said, if I show you photos of the buds and the lower nugs, it’s like the ones at the bottom are still lacking. I’m checking every now and then with a microscope too, but I haven’t looked at the lower ones much... what I can say is that the upper ones are solid. And I liked that idea about the cooler, I could put one next to the panel (diagonally since I don’t have space to put it on the side), pointing at the plant and another below to suck in the air... Yes, I’m going to try that! Thank you so much, genius!

JuanHaze_Arg commented5y ago
@Tuki3, Fa. Me too. Always on the edge. 60x60x110. I regret not buying the j60. In Argentina, it's the best there is. I built a panel by buying some Osram panels, but it's half the ppfd and doesn't even come close to the j60. Double the consumption to reach the same ppfd. You bought an amazing panel and at the same price! Hahaha I hope this ends well! It looks really good. Good luck!
