Hi grow mates,
I have been enjoying a few days away from the eastern climes in sunny California. I gave the ladies a good feeding before I left. Entering week 5, the girls are going to be at peak hunger. The garden is progressing. The DT is wonderfully smelly and sticky as is the C99. DT must be showing off her Durban lineage, or Thai. DT smells more fruity than Cindy who has whiff of baby poop in her terps. Could that be correct?
Cindy is two weeks younger but pistils have been turning brown already for the last 2 weeks.
I think I have been too aggressive with feeding her. The top leaves on all the plants indicate as much, but the poor lighting doesn't help show the canopy at its best. Too late to fix this nute problem at this point but will adjust next round. (I have 4 Cindy and 2 DT clones in the wings) That said, the ladies are frosty. Payback for the long veg and root pampering.
Surprisingly, Cookies are not as smelly as the others, perhaps because her kush side means she smells less floral and more like dirt which is certainly true at this stage.
Anyway, onwards and upwards. Happy growing all.
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, So funny and absolutely true. I was having such a hard time with my indoor grow using led's. His grow book really is the Bible. Nothing is better for getting a newbie on the right track.
The colours on this are gorgeous buddy. You knocked this one outta the park! Good luck with clearing the palette for the sampling... thatβs the hardest partπlol! Beauts!!!ππ
@Mr_Positivo, I defoliated my girls on Sunday and fed them veg nutes low dosage. They had one night of veg on the fresh feed and tonight I set the titan timer to 12/12. Iβll wake up early and see them one last time before the light goes off for the first time for flower.
Hi Bud, Tiresias mist changes sex of plant on branch I am spraying. I am making feminized seeds off Cindy and DT. I'd like to keep this strain around one way or another.
I am storing pollen from a Cookies male also so will be pollenating a few Cookies girls as well.

@Silasbotwin, Cindy says Hi back. Thanks Silas. Love to your Mum. ha ha.
The girls are perking up and growing quickly now. Going to tune the light to slow the stretch, otherwise the girls are heading for the ceiling!!. Cheers bro.
Yes they are, Spin. Hard and getting harder as they swell during the flush.
No fluffy buds with this lot. I need to get a better camera though, so I can show the trichomes and colors and take more professional photographs. Sometime in the future.
Cheers bro.
@Tonino, Thanks mate. A few are Mg deficient. Always the case when they are stressed, it seems.
I was probably too low on my nutrients to start. Cheers.
@Mr_Positivo, Yeah she is widely used in there genetics bro, Subcool had great connexions back in the day with Brothers Grimm. Space queen is an amazing strain ! One of the strongest sativas i have ever smoked, very simillar to jack the ripper. When i pheno hunted the space Queen, i had a couple of phenos come out close to the 30% thc mark on the pharma labs test kit. Also THCV active wich suprised me ! Ended up keeping a less stronger pheno though due to her taste and aroma. Vortex is on my hunt list at some point, grew it out last year, Amazing strain also. Im going to sound like i work for TGA π But yes they are all really good or great strains ! Haha. Careful with Jack the ripper though, can sometimes be unstable ( Bananas ) due to her complex genetics. Yeah man ! That would be a great start for a breeding project ! ππ»Have been part of a few breeding projects myself. But not really my strong point. Should have taken more time and interest into it. The best way to get your hands on old school genetics is to travel to the countrys they originate from. I have some great afghan genetics thanks to my travels, some other genetics also. And more recently some Zamal seeds a friend from the island came back with as a gift. Need to find the courage to grow them out though, the flowering is sooooooo long. Nice one with the OG man ! Yeah keep me posted, really interested ! Happy growing to you too bro ! π
@Silasbotwin, Wow, Just researched a bit. Cindy99 genetics are well used by TGA. She under pins so many of the their strains. Space queen in particular. Love to try that one and Jack the ripper, and vortex. Damn, they all look pretty good to me, especially after your recommendation.
I was planning to use her as a start to my own breeding projects. ha ha. in my 3x3!!. I am looking to get back to old school genetics as much as I can so looking to go more toward sativa crosses, Thai, in particular, and hence my interest in the Durban Thai Cindy cross, which I believe is or is based on the Durban Thai high flyer strain from the 90s and right up my alley.
I'll keep you posted on the OG clones. My gf. is growing them in Cali. I started them late to keep them small and to keep her out of trouble with the neighbors. Blood diamond OG was super smelly right from the start. She tells me they are coming along nicely.
Cheers bro. Happy growing.
@Mr_Positivo, Oh i didn't know they used TGA genetics ! Agent orange is a great strain. Go for it bro ! I have 5 mothers from there seeds, Jack the ripper, one of the fastest sativas i have ever grown, 60 days max and one of the most lemony, resinious strains ever. Very dizzy, energetic and sometimes confusing sativa. Makes you stupid Lol. I also have some Chernobyl, Jesus OG and some Space Queen and Plushberry that unfortunetly are not sold anymore. All are excellent strains. I have tried most strains in there stable and always been suprised with the results. Very easy to find a mother in there genetics. I just would not go with TGA if you are looking for a heavy harvest. There strains are an artwork of flavors, aroma, beautiful colors and High. There are a couple of heavy haverst strains in the book though. Yeah the weed nerd is a cool guy ! Love his approach to things also. Heard good things about wonderland nurseries ππ» Would be interesting to see you grow out those OG clones bro.. Happy to meet another seeker too bro ππππ»
Oh no don't ask me to choose π All are great strains, but im gonna have to say Jack the ripper for being so complex genetically and the all round quality of the strain.
