Ferinky Very rainy week for this time of year, she's growing really well these days.

Ferinky This week has been really hot, it doesn't seem like the heat has been good for them since halfway through the week some leaves started to burn. I'm going to ask a question to confirm that the problem is the heat and rule out that it's not some deficiency or another issue.

Ferinky This week it has grown like a champion and I've been able to take cuttings to keep the variety in case I like it. The apical cut was made halfway up the plant to take advantage of the cuttings, and the side branches are being trained with LST using wire. I also removed the less useful leaves and shoots.

Ferinky This week it was time to transplant to the final 50L pot. I removed the LST wires to make the transplant easier and will leave it without them for a couple of days. For the supersoil, I used my own mix composed of: Peat Worm humus Coco Perlite Vermiculite Horse, goat, and sheep manure Homemade compost Clay pellets for drainage I added the following organic fertilizers: Blood meal Bone meal Fish meal Rock meal Dolomite Epsom salts Bat guano Seaweed extracts Neem cake I let the mix rest for 8 weeks, moist in the final pot, so it would be ready to use on transplant day. Ferinky Her growth is progressing well as I tension the wires and prune her. I'm alternating the waterings, one with just tap water and the other I add Cannazym. So far, after more than two months of life, I haven't added any nutrients; with the initial mix of supersoil, she seems to have everything she needs.

Ferinky I couldn't update on week 11, but here we have its current state, it's starting to stretch to prepare for the pre-flowers. Last week I adjusted the LST wires and did the last defoliation trimming.

Ferinky These are the days when the transition to flowering really starts to show. I'm fertilizing for the first time with solid seaweed extract (Ascophyllum Nodosum) at a rate of 0.5g/L, alternating with watering with just water and another watering with Cannazym.

Ferinky In this update, I'm including 2 weeks since work made it impossible for me to add the previous week. On August 15th, it received the second spray of Bacillus Thuringiensis to prevent caterpillar attacks. I'm still alternating watering with water one day and Ascophyllum Nodosum the next day. I've stopped watering with Cannazym.

Ferinky This week, its flowers have started to fatten up, and you can already appreciate its smell. I continue to alternate waterings of just water with one of water mixed with 100% organic bio-stimulant Ascophyllum Nodosum: Alginate acid 16% Mannitol 4% Nitrogen 2.5% Soluble Potassium oxide 18.5% It will also receive its third spraying of Bacillus Thuringiensis to protect it from caterpillars.

Ferinky This week it got its first summer storm, but it handled it without any problems thanks to the branches being secured with LST wire. I took the opportunity to do a light defoliation and clean off the dead leaves. I've watered once with Ascophyllum, once with Cannazym, and the rest just water; it's been drinking about 3-4 liters every day for 40 days.

Ferinky Final stretch of flowering, the buds keep fattening, the leaves are falling, and the smell is getting more intense. This week I'm including a general photo from all angles. According to the seed bank, the harvest should be ready by the end of September, and by the looks of it, that seems right.

Ferinky Hello and thanks for stopping by to check out my diary. I've grown this strain before and I've always liked its spicy flavor. The plant grew without any problems but had a nitrogen deficiency from the middle of the growth phase. Being a 100% organic grow and only using tap water for watering without adding liquid fertilizers was to be expected; I think with some adjustments to the substrate mix I could have achieved better results, although adding all the nutrients to the substrate made watering easier and I didn't have to do a root wash. The plant developed in a 50L pot and produced 230g of dry, fluffy buds with a not-so-good flower-to-leaf ratio. The smell of the wet flowers was intense with spicy notes. Regarding pests and diseases, it was very resistant; I didn't notice any signs of spider mites, aphids, or thrips thanks to the addition of neem meal in the substrate. I also didn't suffer the dreaded and usual caterpillar attack (neither the leaf caterpillar nor the bud caterpillar) thanks to the sprays at key times with Bacillus Thuringiensis. It was also not affected by powdery mildew, which usually appears at the end of flowering in my area, nor by botrytis. The weather has also been favorable this year; I live in a warm area where the temperature is usually optimal for outdoor cannabis cultivation. In May, it rained pleasantly on a few days, while June, July, and August were especially dry, with only a couple of nights of rain at the end of August, and September has also been very respectful, raining only twice. Because of all this, being the first time I make a supersoil, I'm sure I'll repeat the system for the 2022 season, making some adjustments to the mix to avoid these deficiencies I've mentioned.
