100% germination, didn't even take a full 48 hours for seeds to crack and taproot to start showing on these guys. This is my first Mephisto run so my hopes are high! Running this and also 3x 3BOG x Mango Smile freebies in a 4'x5' room.
All three seedlings are doing their thing. I plan on running all three of these freebies in 5 gal fabric pots with living soil for a hopefully all organic grow. No issues yet, excited for my first Mephisto run!
5/13 update: couple of the seedlings got a little leggy, adjusted lights and this has stopped, when I transplant (end of next week) they will get buried down a little and be just fine.
So far little seedlings are coming right along. They got a little leggy before I adjusted my lighting but that'll get fixed when I transplant this week! 0 Issues thus far!
5/20 update: All the ladies got transplanted into 5 gal pots with happy frog, perlite, nature's living soil - autoflower and Mykos in the bottom of fabric pot hole. I cut away the cups this time and soil was a little dry but transplant went fine and none of them seem shocked or stressed!
5/24 update: started LST on all the ladies on 5/23, they all pulled out of their ties in no time and I'm just going to keep on bending them, no topping this time. Top dressed each 5 gal pot with 1 tsp of Roots Organic Uprising Grow this week, will probably up to 2 tsp next week or maybe week after, not too worried about burning them right now but we shall see. I also plan to add some of the Roots Organic Cal Mag supplement or top dress with something in a couple weeks. I'm very happy so far!
5/31 update: Top dressed the ladies today, 2 tbsp Roots Organic Uprising Grow and plain water. Recharge and Fish Shit will be next water unless I get some compost tea (or quit being a lazy ass and make some). Growth is coming along well, starting LST as needed, since I did not end up topping or FIM'ing this run, I will LST pretty aggressively. Ladies are starting to show pistols today which is a little worrisome since they are all so small, but I'm expecting and hoping for some rapid growth pretty soon.
6/3 update: Ladies are just beginning to get their preflower stretch and showing good growth. They will be getting their first bit of compost tea next week for their first feeding, I will continue LST and doing what I'm doing and hoping for the best!
6/10 Update: All the ladies got their first bit of compost tea this week in addition to regular RO Uprising Bloom dry amendment feeding. Mammoth P was also introduced this week as preflower has begun. I'm not sure how big these ladies will get and if their stretch will continue or if they will shift into flower and focus on bud development soon. As these are freebies I'm not horribly concerned if they aren't huge plants (but that would be ok with me!). Very healthy growth, very healthy looking plant and very bushy! LST has continued and will continue until stretch has stopped!
6/16 update: Ladies are all still getting usual regimen, now they are getting Grow instead of Bloom dry amendments added. All ladies are starting to flower and start to frost up a little. Going out of town for a few days so they all got a little more water than normal today! Starting to have some calmag deficiencies very minorly but figure it'll be an easy fix!
6/24 update: plants are cruising along. Did not expect for calcium/magnesium issues so quick which was my mistake, started showing what I thought were calcium deficiency so I started adding 1 tsp of Elemental to each gallon of water. This week I have started watering slightly less at a time and watering more frequently. I've been learning more and more as I've gone thru this grow and wished I had been consistent, but it is what it is. Next round is going to be a little more exciting since I have a better understanding of organic gardening and cannabis...anyways, some spots but I believe issue will be handled. 3 has a huge main cola, it's short but getting a chunky main cola. All of them are very frosty.
7/1 update: ladies are all growing well enough, I believe I've stunted 3 with transplanting or something and I may have also slightly stunted 1. I believe that I kept all of these plants in the solo cups too long and that it did not appear to shock them, but it may have slowed down what should have been more rapid growth. Next run I'm going to try just starting in rapid rooters and onto final pot
7/8 update: 2 and 3 are still chunking up very nicely and should be finishing up in the next week or two. The two of them have suffered some calcium and magnesium deficiencies and it was corrected eventually, I think it hurt the growth of these two plants a little but with this being the first run in this new setup and me changing things around with feeding, I'll say this run is still going alright. 1 is growing well, more bud sites and a little taller than 2 and 3, nowhere near as chunky but I think it is a little bit behind 2 and 3 as well as far as maturity.
7/15 update: chopped #2 on 7/12 and it is currently drying. #3 is probably about ready and #1 is not far behind. This week I cut back the feeding on #1 and #3 and didn't feed #2. Leaves are absolutely gone on #3 from me messing up with LED's, RO water and a lack of micronutrient supplements (calmag and the such), but she's still chunky as all hell and buds look and smell great. #1 isn't as chunky but stretched a bit more. Both #1 and #3 should finish up just fine, they did get a little pollen from a herm in same tent but I haven't noticed more than a couple seeds so hopefully they aren't riddled with seeds (if they are, it'll just be a hash run I suppose), so for next run I'll need to adjust my setup/layout and also pay better attention looking for male parts!
7/22 update; #2 was harvested on 7/19 and appears to be a good one. It did have a couple seeds from what I believe to be a herm'd plant in same area. Doesn't look too bad, but I did see a few. Overall #2 was the chunkiest lady of the three and has some nice, dense flower. #3 that I harvested a little while ago is curing and #2 will enter cure shortly. I believe I will be chopping #1 this week but we shall see, I've only fed water and cut off the top dressing but right now the big question for me is if I chop and freeze the whole plant or what to do! As this grow is wrapping up I'm pleased with this freebie cross and I've absolutely loved some of the flower rosin I've pressed from #3....almost done!
7/29 Update: Plant is still ripening up, some white hairs still and plenty of clear trichomes...hoping for a harvest next week but for now I'm just letting it ride. Both of the other ladies are curing currently and have made some good Rosin. I haven't tried vaping any flower yet since I would like it to cure for at least a couple few weeks before I start sampling. I believe my intentions with the final of the 3 ladies is to chop and freeze this one to wash and press into some Live Rosin...who knows though!
