So far so good! After sitting in a cabinet for 48 hours we have lift off! The seed has sprouted a little tail. She’s yet to sink so we’ll let her sit a little while longer and then move on to the next stage!
I used my index finger to make a small hole in my medium about to my middle knuckle, I did my best to put the tap root down and covered her up. Then I moistened the medium with water balanced to 6.1. Getting that ph where you want can be kinda tricky but I’ll get the hang of it. I moved the cloth pot into the 4x2x60 and my conditions are pretty optimal. I could use a little bit more humidity at this stage I’ve heard. I’ll add another humidifier on day 2 to compensate.
After adding the humidifier and some pretty humid weather I’ve held an easy 70%+ for this first week with both humidifiers on low. Refilling once a day.
We’re about to finish week 1 and it’s been a heck of a ride, got nervous the medium was holding her down so I carved out a little spot and found her stuck in her seed husk. Dropped the light from 30 inches to 18 inches and she started to perk up. I started misting with a spray bottle to help the seed fall off and eventually was able to pluck it off. It did end up taking a little leaf with it. I was told it would be all good. Just been watching it. Day 5 I added some cal mag to the water to help a little as we start our intro to nute’s this coming week. Every day I’m excited to see the little changes.
So far week 2 I’ve balanced my first batch of Noots and fed the plants about a liter of water.
2 days after watering they sprouted a new set of leaves! Super excited to see more progress.
Day 5 through the end of the week these gals exploded with growth, I did a nutrient mix for the first feed of the week and a regular ph balanced water after that. I plan to go back and forth between noot water and ph balanced water to prevent sugar build up or lockouts. Tonight to end the week 2 I’ll feed 1 more batch of water to this weeks specifications.
This week I saw a lot of growth, I lowered my ph and added some calcium because I noticed some brown tips that could be a calcium deficiency, my last Nutrient mix ph was a little off so this time I brought it down to restore the ph levels and allow the nutrient intake.
Day 1 fed a well balanced ph of nutrient water and put it in a really good position to grow with the calcium supplement
Just gave another feeding on day 5 of week 4. Regular ph balanced water at 6.0 and with 2ml cal mag. 750ppm including ph down. Lots of growth this last week and now some smell, if I rub a stalk and smell my fingers it smells fantastic!
