Mixed week for them.
They've grown a good amount and they responded great to the LST. Really looking forward to how they turn out and shaping them with the LST. I also sprinkled in some Kashi Blend on top to add some biology along with Ful-Humix. It was really hot this week so I also gave them some aloe vera gel and a hydrated kelp tea. This week I skipped the KNF in favor of give it the above.
On the other hand, I keep getting some bug bites so I did a plant wash with Dr. Bronner peppermint soap and cayane pepper. I then I sent some pictures to my friends and he told me there's a chance it's early stages broad or russet mites, so I hit them with some Dr Zymes pesticide and I will follow it up with a neem meal tea next week and some Spinosad if the problem continues after that.
I have not seen many others using KNF techniques, and youโre doing the full program while Iโm only using some parts of it. It seems to work great though, and Iโm very happy with it. Cheers.
@Rasjavi420, I like KNF but I think I was shorting the plants for N so Iโve been supplementing with Megacrop to get rid of the yellow tinge. Megacrop is very good and organic, but Iโm sure KNF is preferred and Iโll be doing this again. I have not checked out JMS but I will now. I think my soil was a bit microbe poor initially and two rounds of compost tea helped a lot. Anyway, fun stuff.
@Northern_Ent, yeah man, I actually started following you cause you were doing KNF, your right there's very few of us lol. I also use fish hydrolysate instead of FAA, smells like ocean shit.
OHN was a pain in the ass to make but worth it. Works as a pest repellent and I feel comfortable that my soil can handle pathogens or anything bad that makes its way into the soil. And now I have a gallon of it lol. IMO seems hard but like you I make it up with compost tea and Jadam Microbe Solution (you try JMS yet?)
It's a bit time consuming, so next run I'm thinking of doing a side by side KNF vs Build-a-Soil way to see to see which I keep doing.
@Rasjavi420, Iโve found one other person here using KNF. Growdiaries reveals their commercial bias with things like this. You can search for whatever obscure cannabis specific nutrient that people might buy but you canโt search for molasses or KNF techniques. Oh well, itโs still a great site.
Iโm using LAB, FPJs and FFJ but not going all in and using IMO or OHN or the fish fermentation (FAA). I figure regular fish fertilizer is much the same as FAA and Fish fertilizer is gross enough even without having to make it yourself.
Overall I think KNF is totally worth it except for maybe a single plant. Itโs not more work necessarily you just need to plan ahead. My buds certainly look good so far. ๐. Cheers and good luck.
