Started some Purple Punch x Thin Mint. Paper-towel was damp with straight tap water, 36 hours in darkness (no heat) and check out the root. It was placed into its pot at this point of germination. So far, I'm very impressed.
Pre mix:
Gaia Green All Purpose Fertilizer 4-4-4: 1 Cup
Gaia Green Power Bloom 2-8-4: 12 Tbsp
Gaia Green Glacial Rock Dust: 3 Tbsp
Gaia Green Alfalfa Meal: 2 Tbsp
Great White: 2 Tsp
Worm Casting: 2 Cups
My night time temps were much to cold but i've now sorted that out. Growth is doing well and the dropping leaves we had last week have corrected themselves.
My light has been turned down to 180W since i started and i plan to keep it that way at least another week or two. She is showing nice growth and drinking much more now that they dome has been removed. Im tying her down quite hard to minimize the stretch.
What a beautiful girl. I've been busy doing some LST work to slow down the stretch and I also defoliated her. I will be dropping the light next week which should also help slow her down.
Im posting a bit early this week. I've done some leaf tucking to allow the lower nodes to pulling through. I'm continuing with the LST work. I will be turning up my light wattage this upcoming week and we should be off to the races.
Another great week down. She is really filling out nice. I continued with LST and defoliate a few large fan leaves. Tip burn has shown up on a couple leaves I have a bit of tip burn and not exactly sure why. I haven't fed her since pre mixing from seedling. Light wattage has been running at 250W. I’ll look at increasing that within the next two weeks.
Another week with a lot of good growth. I gave her one last water soluble shot of great white and also mixed a feed of molasses to prep her for flowering. I will top dress and defoliating next week and should be flipping the light switch by end of next week.
I continued with LST and defoliated all the small stuff.
It started to show some purple stems. Im pretty confident the PH was off so I adjusted to 6.7 for two waterings. We shall see!
Light wattage is still set kinda low at 300W.
I didn't cut clones this week because I top dressed with:
Gaia Green 4-4-4: 1 Tbsp
Gaia Green 2-8-4: 2 Tbsp
Gaia Green 0-9-0: 1 Tsp
Gaia Green 3-0-3: 1 Tbsp
Gaia Green Glacial Rock Dust: 2 Tbsp
1 Cup worm casting mixed with two 4 cups of coco.
I did some hard LST work again this week and ended up snapping a top. Light wattage is still running on the low side but will soon be turning it up when I kick it into flowering. I found a couple copper spots on some leaves which im confident is the result of the deficiency I had a couple weeks back.
I took some clones early this week and will be kicking her into flowering in a couple days. She is still showing those purple stems and looks healthy. I got some run off that tested at 7.0PH so i'll be trying to correct that and get around 6.3-6.5. I cleaned it up and removed a lot of leaves this week.
I will be switching the lights to 12/12 tonight to begin flowering.I defoliated this week, installed a trellis and added a feed of molasses. I still can't seem to shake the purple stems but everything looks like its doing well.
First week of flowering done but no flowers forming yet.
Top dressed with a light feed.
Gaia Green All Purpose Fertilizer 4-4-4: 1 Tbsp
Gaia Green Power Bloom 2-8-4: 1.5 Tbsp
Gaia Green Glacial Rock Dust: 1.5 Tsp
Gaia Green Mineralized Phosphate: 1 Tsp
Gaia Green Alfalfa Meal: 1.5 Tsp
Worm Casting: 4Tbsp
I have finally correct the red stems because the new growth is beautiful green. it was definitely the PH of my medium being too high. I defoliated her pretty hard this week. The leaves are sticky already but I suspect we should start seeing the trichomes within a week.
Check how these girls are stacking. Damnnnnn! I defoliated her again and that should be one of my last. The upper leaves are looking a little bleached and the leaves didn't have that soft touch. Besides that, she is doing extremely well.
Buds are stacking real nice and the trichomes keep coming like sprinkled white snow. I cleaned up the bottom one more time. the purples colours are starting to show up on the upper leaves. I will be top dressing this next week and it will be the last before harvest.
So I definitely under fed her the last feed. Its easy to tell with the fading of the leaves. The pictures do show some good colour coming back so i don't think it will effect the plant too much.
Top dressed with:
Gaia Green All Purpose Fertilizer 4-4-4: 1 Tbsp
Gaia Green Power Bloom 2-8-4: 2 Tbsp
Gaia Green Glacial Rock Dust: 1 Tsp
Gaia Green Mineralized Phosphate: 1 Tsp
Gaia Green Alfalfa Meal: 2 Tsp
I completely exposed the lower buds by removing many of the fan leaves. Im not getting much smell from her yet but the buds look awesome. The leaves have continued to improve since feeding.
Everything is still going well. The trichomes are clouding over so i'll be cutting out the Cal Meg this week and expect to be chopping in roughly two weeks.
From start to finish this plant grew well and definitely wanted to stretch a lot. I only ran my light at 250w most of the grow so I don't think it reached its potential however ended with a large yield. Very impressed!
