Using distilled water to keep it moist outdoors under some shade. It’s been pretty hot the last two days with today hitting 88. Should I be worried about the purple stem? Thanks!

Still more seedling than veg, but moved to final 5 gal fabric pot. Only been 10 days since popping from the seed and trying to get as much light as possible, but it’s been cloudy lately

One of the newer leaves came out all curled up and dry. Hoping that is not a trend. Had issues this week as I saw there were no roots protruding from peat pod. I dug it up and cut the netting off from around it and put it back. Hopefully will not stunt the plant too much as it’s basically a late transplant. Also accidentally broke off one of the two first leaves accidentally while dealing with the peat pod. Gave first feed of nutrients this week. Half of recommended doses. Also gave first neem oil spraying this week. Hopefully we see some good growth this week

One of the two leaves from the newest growth came out curled and crisp. The other leaves seem a bit canoed as well. Any ideas on what is causing this and how to solve? It’s been outside with supplemental lights at night. Too much heat, water, etc? Please help.

If its canoeing then its heat stress or light stress. If its outside all day and then under a light all night she is not getting any rest period either.

Growing well this week. Getting some new leaves/stems coming out of the nodes. Starting to see a hair or two as well. Might be preflowering/ready to get to flowering phase. Almost a gallon of water every 5-6 days. Neem oil every 10 days. 1/8 of gh advanced nutrient line and a little myco this week with the water to get the roots growing a little better. Not together.

Went away for a week. Friend watching her left her out in a storm. Overwatered but had lots of growth prior to then. New shoots and stems from the main branch. Lots of white hair growth at bud sites. But of yellowing at the top, likely due to watering. Didn’t give nutrients prior to going away and will likely not be able to until they dry out a bit. Unfortunately I snapped some stems trying to do some training as well. The top of the main stem was hanging and I added a splint. One of the other stems with lots of flower sites was also snapped. Supported it with tape. Will see how these do over the next few weeks.

Came outside and found the main stem snapped again. Fixed it quickly and more securely this time. Hoping it survives as most of the but sites are above the break.

My main stem snapped when trying to do some lst. I splinted it and taped it up. Anything else I should do?

Give it at least 10 days then pull the tape off. You will get some permanent browning around the wound, don't freak out. You may have problems if it's taped too tightly so maybe after a few days, untape it and re-tape it. If you don't think it's too tight, you can probably wait the full 10 days before touching it again.

Spider mites? Aphids? What would be causing these bites? Is it too late to continue using neem oil since they’re already starting to flower? Should I use BT spray instead? Thanks.

Hi Mate, yep you got an initial mites infestation (if u check under leaf you will see mites and their eggs). You can spray tyhme or nettle extract to control them if neem doesn't work (but don't expect miracles). If u got a LOT of patience you could try to clean, leaf by leaf, the bottom page with alcohol swab. Cheers

The stem recovered nicely. It formed a small knot where it mended. Small browning at the site. Took off splint and seems to be strong. Had a small possible spider mite issue. Saw white marks on leaves and a little bit of webbing on one of the lower leaves. Wiped down all the leaves with 9:1 water alcohol solution. Didn’t want to use neem at this stage as it’s flowering. May treat with diatomaceous earth as well. Otherwise she looks healthy and the bud sites continue to grow new white hairs. Gave her a feeding this week with a little bit of veg and a little bit of bloom nutrients. Will see how she responds.

Not sure if the pests are still biting or if these are mostly old bites. Wiped leaves with alcohol last week. Used some diatomaceous earth around the pots this week. Hopefully I don’t see an increase in the bites on the leaves. Not sure what to do now that its flowering and I can’t use neem.

Buds are getting fuller. Hard to see the trichs well even with the loupe. Waiting for the hairs to brown and see some amber in the trichs before harvest. Think she has a week or two to go. Possibly more

Got a few weeks left but the buds are starting to look very crystally. A lot of the pistils are still white, especially near the bottom of the plant. Don’t see amber trichs yet. Still seeing a little bit of bug activity but not sure what I can do about that at this point. No moth eggs or caterpillars that I’ve seen. Using GH Flora series, but may go to just water after this next feed. Excited to see how it finishes up.

Do I have to worry at all about this stem? It’s had the white bumps on it the whole time but now that I’m getting toward the end I’m worried that it could be something worse than I thought it was. Any concerns that it could be mold?

This is nothing to worry about and is exactly how a cannabis plant is supposed to grow. Everything is normal and it is not a disease, deficiency or any sort of stress induced weird thing. The white bumps are actually root nodes waiting to grow/sprout in the event any compost or leaf litter were to mound up next to the stem, as can occur out in nature. The flaky and papery skin type of thing associated at the lower end of the main stem is a bit like a snake shedding its skin and completely normal too. You have nothing to be concerned over, your plant is normal. Hope this helps, Organoman.

Definitely getting close. Worried about bugs, caterpillars, herming… just about everything but I think she’s got a week or so left. See a little bit of amber with a loupe but nowhere near 50%. Hopefully won’t have to chop her down early for any reason. Smell is good when right up close but nothing crazy from afar. Still smells a bit mildewy but I hear that is not abnormal. Can’t wait for harvest.

Noticed the bottom of the main cola was weird. Buds came off easily and I discovered a caterpillar had made its way in there. Ironically, I think the caterpillar came from indoors when I had taken her in from the rain. Removed more than the affected area and sprayed with BT. Was really hoping not to use this but had to do something to make sure it wasn’t going to spread. The rest is looking fine. The hairs are turning orange, but still not seeing a lot of amber in the trichs. Gonna giver her one more week I think.

The buds became looser from what I could see after the BT application. Washed the buds after harvest. The buds were never that fragrant to begin with. Had a hay like smell after drying and curing. Probably dried too fast. Would top next time as it took a long time to come to harvest from seed. Would also apply more feed as I never experienced any signs showing too much nutes used.
