Just cut and hang. She is not going to do anything much any more, just get more and more confused.
Depriving a plant of light right before harvest to supposedly stimulate extra resins is plain BS, all the extended darkness does is slow the plants metabolism to almost zero, and a near zero metabolic rate will just lead to cannabinoid degradation, not enhancement. A plant with a barely functioning metabolism can not support trichomes at their peak health, thereby leading to a rapid breakdown of the cannabinoids. There is very little actual factual, scientific research to support the idea of light deprivation actually being a beneficial technique for all cannabis plants at all times and in all situations. It is largely an urban myth, dreamt up by someone too high to think clearly and with a complete lack of real knowledge about how a plant functions. Unfortunately this myth has somehow survived for whatever reason, probably spread by more people who do not understand the basic principles of plant biology and should be clearly debunked and the sooner the better.
As a comparison, it would be the equivalent of asking a human to stop eating for two days and then run a marathon, the theory being that all that energy that was saved by not eating would somehow be magically available when running the marathon as though it was coming from some sort of magical human energy battery. Obviously this can not occur, the same as expecting a plant with an almost dead metabolism, induced by 2 days of darkness, being able to somehow perform a miracle trick of producing super resin quantities out of thin air, by a plant that can not undertake photosynthesis and this photosynthesis being the plants' only way of powering any of its functions.
After experimenting with when to harvest a plant over the last 35+ years, I have concluded that the best time is about an hour or two after the sun comes up or the lights come on. This seems to produce flowers with the highest levels of terpenes and the tastiest resins.
Harvesting when there are about 90-95% brown pistils seems to produce flowers with the highest amounts of THC.
Hope this helps, Organoman.
