48x24x60 tent
3g smart pots
70/30: Fox Farms Ocean Forest/ Perlite
Tap water (24h sit)
Viper Spectra 300 - 22 inches away
- Note: have 2 75w CFLs waiting to be added once a little bigger
4inch filter/exhaust
6 in fan to circulate
Heater with auto on temp control to keep the girls snuggled in on cold nights.
2 pots in a tent, one waiting on germination that seems to want to take some extra time.
I will be updating daily as much as possible.
Bonus for Day 6: Seed #2 was checked and had an inch tap root. She was planted in pot #2 late afternoon so we will check her in the morning.
Seed 2 sprouted a week later than Seed 1 after some issues. I split the diaries for ease of reading and having the plants on the correct week schedule.

I did not think it would happen, but actually had a humidity issue. Went from around 60 to 12 and really dried the girls down. So had to buy a humidifier for the tent. It does double duty as a fan too!
Started Cal/mag also at 1/4 strength.
Missed a few days updating due to visitors, but I did snap pics every day.
Started feeding a little on day 16. We will see how they like it or not and hopefully they continue along normal. Struggling to keep the humidity some days, but not horrible. Lows around 40%, highs in the low 60's. Temps have been pretty stable in the 77-81 (25-27c) degree range.
Day 16 to 17, I swear this is the same plant. The leaves fattened up a lot.
Day 18 - Temps outside dropped to 30's so humidity is struggling around 45 and Temps in tent 70-75. Also added some light bondage to the lower leaves in hopes they will stretch out then up.
Day 19 - Temps and humidity are LOW. I am lucky to get 36% humidity. Had to set up another heater to get the Temps into the 70's.
Day 20 - Temps and humidity are back to normal. Going to start taking pictures after her dark hours. She looks much more perky in her mornings.
Little girl is just growing and pushing as much as she can.
Day 23 - Gonna get a boost tomorrow with a feeding. New VIPARSPECTRA Reflector-Series 450W LED was ordered this morning for the girst. The 300 is going away a short time for other purposes. It will be back for flower.
Day 24 - Fed with an increase in nutes... barely. Don't want to get to aggressive. Also light bondage on a few branches to bring them to the light.
Day 26 - new light arrived and installed in place of the VS300. So a true 200 watts from LED, before it was 132. Watts. Still have the 75 watt CFL going when not taking pictures or dark hours.
Day 27 - Temps reached up to 86 for the girls today. Looking like they would like some water, but holding out for tomorrow for a normal Calimagic feed, no nutes. Also attempting to LST the main stem a little to even out the growth. See how it goes with just a little bend. The branches respond great to it.
Day 28 - started to see slight flowers yesterday and now they are really popping up. The aroma is going to get potent if the smell in there now is any indication. Only 30-40 more days of this!!!
Mary started to flower at the end of last week. This week they are officially in full flower. This would be a good thing but...
Now the bad news. The time I had in the tent failed on a bad day. The girls sat in the dark for 10 hours and the temperature jumped up to 84 and humidity shot up to 78!! I am trying to do what I can to get it stabilized, but it is proving dificult. Humidity is down to 56 as of 10 minutes ago.
Day 31 - Full nute feeding and daily pot rotation. She drinks about 3L of water every 3 days, with some runoff to test. Mary is looking good and loving the LST. Debating on removing some of the larger leaves blocking bud sites.
Day 32 - Rearranged the tent spreading the girls out a little. Removed CFL light and added the VS300 back into the tent. Primarily over smaller sister and the 450 is over this girl. But they have a good amount of shared light. Temp is still high, but humidity is back to a great spot.
Also added a shot of a flower smiling for the camera.
Mary is looking really nice this weekend. She continues to open up and is becoming an alluring woman. I think the other half is getting jealous of my tent time! I am kidding, but she is looking good.
Day 36 - Started trimming off some of the larger leaves to give light access to the lower flowers. Very little each day to not stress her out so much.
Day 37 - Light 2L watering to test. More Trimming
Day 38 - Apparently 2L was not enough at all. She is thirsty and looking forward to a good feeding tomorrow. Trimmed some more.
Day 39 - Full 4L water and nutes today and made sure to get a lot of run off this morning. In the evening, Temps spiked up to 88 in the tent. Hopefully, the overnight Temps bring that back down.
Mary is looking amazing! As you can see from the pictures, I changed up the view of her since the top down was no longer doing her justice. Both girls have been really thirsty lately. They are taking in 3L (20% runoff) every 2 days now. On Mary, the main cola is about 8 inches and damn frosty. She is smelling amazing too. Earthy and pine mixed together. Can't wait to get to taste her next month.
This weekend, the girls are starting to pack on a little weight. With Mary, I can see the main cola really fattening up along with all the side branches. She is coming along nicely and has about 2-3 weeks let in her at least if not a little more. I picked up a loupe last week and we will see how she looks on Friday, all the trichs were obviously clear on day 49. Way to early to check, but you know I had to play with it. I will take the girls outside on 4/20 for a photo shoot to show the world what they look like in natural sunlight. That is currently their next scheduled feeding unless they tell me differently!
Day 53 - For the people wondering, yes the tent was invaded. Last week I started growing a few simple bell pepper plants in there. Additionally, the girls are sharing their light with 24 sunflower sprouts that will be moving out this weekend.
Day 55 - Took Mary and her sister outside for pictures. Needed to see how they were under natural sunlight. Also did a 2L ph flush/2L nutes feed this morning.
Start of the new week and both girls are happy campers. I continue to remove between 1-3 fan leaves every day that are covering up other bud sites. I have a surprise 2 day vacation coming up that I am trying to plan around. I may miss a day or 2 getting pictures. I will figure something out though.
More outdoor pictures coming this week since she looked so pretty out there.
Day 57-58: Had a small heat wave push through and temps shot up to 96 for a few hours with a low of 89. Got the temps under control, but a lot of the main cola leaves curled upwards and dried a little. Temps are normalized and plant seems happy, but top sugar leaves/fan leaves will need to be watched closely. Luckily we are getting closer and closer to harvest.
Day 62: Getting close.
Looks like this is going to be the final week for Mary. I did a final half water flush on morning of day 72. I will let her dry up a little over the next 2-3days, then start a staggered harvest over a few days. Aiming to start that on 10 May, or day 75 from seed.
Harvested the little girl on day 75. Spent 2 hours meticulously trimming her up and now drying her out. Look forward to putting up the results in 5-7 days.
Standby.
As you can see from the pics, I wanted to make sure I got everything on here.
Sample smoking was nice and smooth after a 5 day dry. Comes on slowly, then hits pretty good. Works great for my nightly smoke. well worth it. She has a very citrus smell to her and fills the room as soon as I open the tent.
As you can see on the numbers, it comes out to just over 81g dried (258g wet). Total actual wattage used was 334 in the entire tent. Viparspectra 450 (200 actual) over this plant, 300 (134 actual) over second plant. (300/450 listed). I am extremely happy with my first harvest. I still have one more of these to harvest in a few days that should give me around the same numbers. If the numbers hold, that will be about 160g from 2 plants. I look forward to another in the future when it cools down here.
I also pulled out 49 seeds from the lower buds of the plants. Debating on saving these for the distant future or just being Johnny Appleseed around the outskirts of town.
Used a brown bag method of drying as it was pretty simple and hard to screw up.00
