Hello. I got this strain by mistake. I ordered Shark Shock by Dr. Krippling from Sensible Seeds. I guess they had just sold out and hadn't changed the computer inventory. When they got my money they sent an email and were very nice in explaining they shouldn't have sold me the Shark Shock. They even phoned Dr. Krippling to ask when the next seed run was. They phoned around to other seed banks but there was none. In the email they said I could spend up 10% more than the seeds were worth. After saying darn a couple of times I did some quick research and thought I would ask for seeds that would cost slightly more than I was allowed. All they could do is say no, so I asked, and they said yes. So here we go---

Hello. We're still in veg here. In the last few weeks I ran out of the mixed nutrient solution I feed the clones and little plants with, instead of mixing some more I just grabbed some slow release plant food I used to use in the greenhouse that was old. So I used about 1/3 of a teaspoon on each plant saying to myself that will hold you for a couple of weeks till I get you into the main grow room. Being busy with the harvest and other things I may have overwatered too. So a couple of the plants are showing signs of stress on their leaves. I feel bad because I should have known better with my experience. Plant #3 top leaves have curled in but it is still growing. Realizing what I did I put Hydrogen Peroxide in the reservoir in case the cause was root rot or some nasty bacteria. So I'll have to rebuild my friendly fungus and microbes. I'll do what I can to heal the crop before I turn the room over to flowering. Oh well shit happens.
Till next week. Chuck.
Hello. I'm watching very close if I have thrips in the main grow room. I've discovered them in the greenhouse and don't know if I've brought them inside. The thrills of growing cannabis.😀
The plant are growing well and recovering from that fertilizer mistake except plant #3 still has curly leaves. I topped plant #3 for the first time and plant #1I took some longer branches off and plant #5 I topped for the 4th time. Even with 8 growing tips it is still out growing the rest of them. I don't think it will be a full week of veg, I think I'll just wait a couple of days for the plant to heal from the topping then I'll turn over to flower and take clones.
Till next week. Chuck.
Hello. This is week 1 of flowering for The Dos Si Dos 33 for Me by Barney's Farm. I put old fertilizer on about 3 weeks ago and the plant have mostly recovered from that. According to the internet I'm getting the Spinosad I ordered today. I also ordered some nematodes a few days ago. I'll have to read if Spinosad can hurt the nematodes. I think I might use the nematodes in my garden first.
Most everything else is going good in the grow room. Plant #3 still has some curly leaves but it is getting better. I did the rub test on the plants and plants #4,#2 and #1 had the most smell and the stickiest resin. Plants #3 and #5 had the least smell and resin. Plant #4 is leading for the best smell and stickiest resin and is fairly compact. I'm trying to start some OG Kush seeds from Sensible Seeds Premium Selection for my next diary. I emailed them to find out who made them but I got no response. These seeds were free with my order and I've had them for about a year now. Hope they start.
Till then. Chuck.
Hello. Other than the heat everything is going good here. This week has been the hottest its been in the last 100 years of recorded weather. It's 27.4 C and 60% RH in the grow room just now. I've emptied the cloning cupboard and put the clones under a light in the cooler garage knowing the clones struggle to make roots at higher temps.
I start seeds at the same time I take clones. If they are regular seeds, I start the seeds 2 weeks before I take clones, it gives me more time to find the males. If the seeds are fem, I can start the seeds up I week after I take clones because they don't need to be sexed. That way, with a 2 stage grow room everything works out and the clones/seeds are a good size when the switch is made.
I started some Honey Bananas from Elemental Seeds. They send 6 seeds. 2 popped within 2 days and then stopped growing. I waited for 4 more days, giving fresh water flushes in case the seeds tasted something they didn't like and stopped growing. I thought they were going to rot because I saw the first seed's white shoot was going clear so I started some OG Kush fem seeds free with order from Sensible Seeds Premium Seed Selection. 4 out of 5 popped within days. So I took the Honey Bananas and thought about throwing them out and didn't want to waste the money (I'm cheap) so I did something that has worked for me before. I readied (swelled with water) the peat pucks and took the popped seeds and carefully removed the hard shells and placed the white grain in the peat so the root is facing down and the top of the leaf parts are just level with the top of the peat puck and a small part of the white grain will be exposed to the light. The plant has run out of energy. It will need to get some by using photosynthesis. The seed with the clear growing tip will probably rot but the 3 other seeds that I got into the peat pucks in time, will probably live. As I'm writing this 1 of the Honey Banana seedling has risen up to spread it starter leaves another seedling has turned green and is just starting to lift it leaves. So I got too many seeds started now. Oh well, worse thing could happen.
Till then. Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3.
Things are going smooth this week. The plants are stretching. and getting ready to go into flowering. You might see in the pictures a few burnt leaves. With the stretch and the light over some leaves touched the light. I had to tie back Plants #1,2,4 and5. Plant #3 is still recovering from some sort of root thing and looking a little weak but still going into flowering.
Seeds have been giving me a hard time this week. I usually start seeds for my next diary when I take clones. So I started some Honey Bananas from Elemental Seeds $85 Can. and with all my efforts I got 1 out of 6 seeds grow. The rest rotted despite my best efforts. So I started 5 seeds of OG Kush from Sensible Seeds and free with my order. And I struggled with them and they all rotted. Bummer😟. I'm trying to grow indicia's these days for the sleepy effects I need, so I went back to my seed vault and dug out some 4 year old seeds to try and start. They are The White by Dr Greenthumb a Canadian seed breeder. I've tried some strains from him in the past and was only moderately pleased with his stuff. I tried Big Laughing (not very strong and very stretchy), Oh! Zone (silly name and a big difference in height), Turkish Delight (decent smoke and flavor), and Carnage (another silly name, was the strongest but stretchy). The vial I kept these seeds in said 11 fem seeds. I figured in my bad luck with seeds lately and thought I might as well start all 11 and I might get 5 or 6 to sprout and grow. I soak my seeds in day old water with a few drops of Hydrogen Peroxide and a bit of rooting gel for the hormones, and then on to a paper towel for a few days. Well when I took the seeds out of the soak 10 of them had white tips showing and the other one sprouted the next day. So I got 11 seeds in the soil and waiting to see how many will come up. I'm not expecting any to rot because of how fast they sprouted. But that will give my way to many seeds for the amount of space I have to flower. Oh well I'll figure something out later, because I'm very resourceful.
Till next time. Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4. Please read week 1 for full plant details.
It's been a little too warm in the grow room and my water has been warm too, so the plants have stretched a little more than I wanted. That's O.K. though, I've noticed that the clones grow different than the seedlings. The seedlings grow quicker and have more of a hybrid vigor, and clones are more settled down. and don't grow as fast and stretch as much in flowering. My other older clones I have going in the same room haven't stretched as much. Also this plant is 40% Sativa so there will be some stretch. I'll super crop if they get much taller.
Seeds from last week. The strain I started was The White by Dr Greenthumb a Canadian breeder. I started 11 seeds that were about 4 years old and I got 5 out of the soil and the 6th is trying to open it's starter leaves from a slow start. I dug the others out and left them on top with their roots covered. Some times they just need a bit of light to keep going. I was trying to help one seed out of it's cracked shell and it slipped/flipped across the room and was lost😞.
So for my next diaries I'll have 1 Honey Banana by Elemental Seeds and 5 or 6 The White which is just Florida OG with a different name. You know how the game is played, you have something good and it can't be the same as everyone else, so you put a new name on it and people will think it's something new and different. Example: I smoked Poison when I was a late teen (I'm over 60 now) at a party and got just fried. It tasted like gas/diesel/cleaning products. So my opinion is: someone wanted their own strain and didn't care if they take someone else's work and they named it for themselves. And that strain is Poison/Chem Dawg which is one of the major players in this Cannabis game.
Till next time. Chuck.
Hello. Its been a quite cannabis growing week. I had to tie the plants up some more.
It's been a little warmer than usual this year is I getting some extra stretching in the grow room. The plants are getting close to the roof so I'll do some Super Cropping this week before the resin production cuts in. I often add a extra light at week 3 or 4 for more light penetration and bigger buds. But I might hold of for a week or so to see if cools of a bit. Extra light means extra heat for the plants to deal with.
My Medical Marijuana License arrived this week. I'm aloud 244 plants on my property. So I think I'll add 2 more 5/5 foot grow tents and a mars or spider light in each. I'll be able to start some sleepy indicia's with lots of myrcene. So I've bought from OA Seeds some Kripple Shock by Dr Krippling, Purple Cherry by Positronic Seeds, Blackberry Gum by Seed Stockers, And 2 from TH Seeds-The MK Ultra Mind Control Box and Mt. Blank Special Pack. The Mind Control Box has the first auto seeds I've ever bought. I don't like the idea of generically modified cannabis (the ruderals was added only for the auto finish) I like to be in control of the "when, where and how" with my cannabis growing. But I'll at least give them a try before giving a final judgement.
Till next week. Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6. It's been a quite growing week.
Wow. The plants have really kicked in the resin production. I'm getting excited about this strain.
Plant #3 is still not doing well. The other 4 are doing great. I've seen a few fungus gnats around. I'll put some Pyrethrin Insecticide Power down. That always slows them down and is safe to use.
The only stress I had this week is we are redoing our wills to be ready for what the future holds. It's been 20 years since we made them.
Till next week. Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 6 and the start of week 7.
Wow. The resin production has really kicked in. Starting to look chunky and white, mmm. The description says 22% to 28% THC. Oh Boy!
Sorry. not much to say this week. Till the next. Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8. I will start my flush at the end of week 8. I still like to flush. It makes sense to me. I can get better taste from hydroponics and flushing than I can with soil and flushing. There always seems to be a little different taste between the same plants grown in different mediums. I call it the soil taste.
These plants have a wonderful spicy fragrant Hindu Kush or hash type of smell and are really kicking out the resin now. Some of the taller plants Super Cropped themselves. The buds got to heavy and they folded over heading for the floor. I love it when that happens.
Thanks for coming. Chuck.
I was in a bit of a hurry. Sorry about the fuzzy pictures.
Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the start of week 9. Flushing has started.
Most of the plants have bent themselves over from top heavy buds. I don't mind. It allows the smaller buds to get more light and get bigger.😉
I like to flush for 2 weeks and a couple of days of dark before harvest.
I've been quite busy this week with my other diary Mega Mouth. I was very pleased with the strain. I spent the last 3 and a bit days cutting it all down. Got about 9.5 oz. per plant. Had a long nap today. That was a bit of a marathon of trimming for 14 hours a day. I can hardly wait for next year.
Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week10. The second week of flushing.
Everything is going good. I mean other than breaking part of a molar off and needing a gold crown😬 (the price of gold is up) everything is going good. And life goes on.
The plants are doing well. I got rid of plant #3 because it was not doing well and I've seen a few fungus gnats around and though they might be feeding on Plant #3 roots
Plant #4 is the stickiest and most smelly. I've taken a few taster/tester clippings to smoke while I harvest to find the strongest plant. That is what this is all about The strongest plant!!!
I let the plants sit in the dark for a few days. I use this as part of the drying process. I would rather the plant sit in the dark for a few days than have the lights on and burning off cannabinoids that I can use later. I also feel the dark period helps bring out a better taste because terpenes are not burnt off by the light (it's the escaping terpenes you smell with the lights on) and remain in the resin for a few days before the plants are cut down.
While harvesting in the greenhouse a few days ago I thought about how Rare Dankness has written about in their plants description and I will keep in mind 3 new (for me) categories to report, in the reviews I write. They are
Plant Morphosis: How much the plant stretched or not stretched in flowering.
Bud Morphosis: How much the bud changes through flowering.
Bud Harvest Trimming: How hard or easy it was to trimming up that bud.
Thanks for looking in on me. Chuck.
Hello. Dos Si Dos #33 For Me! This is a very nice strain. Easy to grow and smoke. What a wonderful smell and taste. I can taste fruity ice cream with the exhale.
The stems were very hollow, like straws which is why the top buds fell over. When I was trimming, the branches often bent, under the weight of the top buds.
Plant Stretch-(PS)- 1 is no stretch at all. 5 is the biggest sativa you can think of.
Bud Mutation- (BM)- 1 is the perfect bud. 5 weird big growths like fox tails
Trim- 1 you blow on the branch and hang it up. 5 Takes forever to trim up the buds
About- My best guess of the THC level. I've been around awhile and smoked alot.
Resin- 1 is very slippery or slick. 5 is super sticky like Gorilla Glue.
Size of buds-(SOB)- 1 is very small. 5 is the biggest buds you can think of.
Dense- 1 is very light or fluffy. 5 is very hard, like rock. your bud buster has trouble breaking it up.

Overall I had 1 problem with plant #3 which came out early and went into the compost. Everything else went smooth. Got to say it again, Great tasting strain with strength too! Can't beat that.
Thanks for following. Chuck.
