๐Ÿ‘‰I have only grown cannabis indoors. I have been growing herbs and things in containers on my back patio. So I decided to try and see how the Sweet Seeds Green Poison Auto would fair along side my herbs in a 4 gallon pot. I placed the seed in a solution of H2O2 and RO water for about 18 hrs. At 18hrs the seed was still floating (air bubbles on the shell kept it afloat) and the shell had split with the tap root showing. I placed the germinating seed in a sterile cellulose towel soaked in the H2O2 solution, folded the towel and placed it in a small cup, covered that cup with foil and placed that foil covered cup on the warm area above my cable Tv tuner in the entertainment center. Checked 18 hours later and the tap root was about 1/3", so I placed into the soil. It emerged 4 days later. Its been slow since its emerged, there has only been two days of sun and cloudy and rain all the rest today is day 12 total. I expect it to take off quickly once the sun shines more often. ๐Ÿ‘‰Soil is nothing special, used dirt from last years crop of basils and peppers, mixed with last grow sessions coco coir and clay pebbles. Didn't do much prep beside mixing in the wheel barrow. I will be giving same nutrients as the indoor plants, but not as often. Summers here are hot and dry, the concrete patio gets sun from morning till mid afternoon, when the trees on other side of yard shade the area till an hour before sundown. The pots on the patio tend to dry out fast and need water as often as 2x a day. I have a timing misting/drip system I may set-up to help me keep the plants alive. But the sun and heat isnt the only peril these plants will face. Bugs...every kind of bug you can think of has shown up in my patio grow. Especially caterpillars and aphids. I Never spray any chemicals on my plants, but I will use Jacks Bug Juice and may check out some other organic stuff. Insecticidal soap works good. I aslo will use a solution of H2O2/dish soap/tap water for direct attack on the plethora of garden pests that will pay me a visit. I have found that spraying any of these remedies will stop a flower from blooming, Lots of pepper blooms lost this way. So if the Green Poison gets any remedies of this sort they will get it before flowering cycle starts. I have found that if I am vigilent that perimeter remedies work the best. That is to say creat a perimeter of death for any pest that thinks my plants look tasty. I will never use Neem oil on the plants, but its a fantastic perimeter remedy. It has to be re-applied very frequently. So a chemical perimeter will be applied after every rain. Then I will be spraying Neem all around the grow area on the concrete itself and the sides of the containers. I will need to spray the Neem every couple of days to really be effective. Ive done it with my Basils and peppers with great success.

@HAPPY91, I have a multi-faceted approach to dealing with the incredibly amazingly vast and diverse cavalcade of insects that visit my patio garden every year. I avoid ANY chemicals around the plants, but I do occasionally spray a perimeter of barrier insecticide around the area. But that actually has minimal effect. I grow a variety of herbs primarily in my garden. multiple basil varieties, and some other herbs. Most of these herbs are pest deterrents by themselves. Only a few different species of insects ever bother most of my herbs. So this plant will be placed in the middle of my herbs. I also use Neem oil, but NEVER will spray it on any plant that is for consumption ever. Its organic yes, yet toxic and understudied. Neem is a wonderful perimeter/barrier treatment. It evaporates quickly though and requires frequent area sprays. I keep it in a 1 gallon pressurized sprayer and spray the concrete area around the plants, the rack the plants sit on, and even the sides of the pots themselves. When I have aphids I knock the evil little critters off with a small pressurized spray of de-chlorinated water. Then I use H2O2 with Dawn soap mixture on the undersides of leaves and saturate the soil. If they are a particularly evil group of demon aphids I use Dr Jacks Bug Juice. Unfortunately anything chemical, even spinosad, that I've sprayed on vegetable blossoms, kills that blossom. For leafing plants, even organic sprays, halt the growth node growth for a few days, so I will avoid spraying anything on the Green poison except the de-chlorinated water or a weak soap/H2O2 solution followed by a rinse. I will even attack the aphids with tweezers. Ive grown on the patio for years and I'm ready to do battle with mother nature.

@Weird_Jimmy, Get those yellow sticky traps all around and also look for local birds that eat those pests and buy a bird feeder with there favorite foods. I notice birds really help a lot and the sticky traps work great for all the smaller little buggers!

@Organic_LarF, the temperature isn't the issue, if it was, the only place that might be stable is another state. its been raining or totally cloudy all but 4 days total since it was planted 19 days ago. glad it isnt suffering from over saturation. The pot its in has really good drainage. Thanks for taking the time to actually read my diary.
