No change really from last two weeks, went into preflower so I'm trying to lower the temp gradually from now on down to about 21 then around 18 to 19 for the last week or so hopefully
Quite chuffed atm
Any tips or pointers very welcome
Think it's goin well but only my 1st so...
She's been streeeeetchhing recently, still not done I don't think so will probably get slightly taller this is the 7th day since I saw the first pistils, and it's looking healthy I think, not sure what to expect harvest wise but she's looking fuller and fuller so should be above the 100g newbie estimate which is given on a lot of forums for this strain, enjoying watching her get taller, can't wait for the start of trike production
Help, tips, and ego inflation welcome haha 👍
Well nothing really happened that I can see, she is just getting ready to put on some weight I hope... Please... Pretty please
No nutes except calmag and some standard npk feed but only a little about 0.5ml per litre
Trying my best with the environment, it seems to be optimal at the moment but I'm worried about drying as I can't get temp anywhere in my flat below 21 for some reason (it's 16 c outside)
I also bent over the main cola stem by accident, it wilted for an hour or so and then came back all stiff like, so hope its alright
I'm enjoying it at the moment but it really truly is a test of patience, I am a patient person but just being next to it all the time when I'm home hearing the fan going I just can't help but peak haha,
Thankyou for all the help and suggestions 😘
Hi, do I have to use bloom nutes to avoid popcorn buds and budlets, or is my coco coir, rich topsoil and small amount of nutes enough for it to flower well and plump up?
Will bloom nutrients help fatten up your buds? -- almost always YES... regardless of genetics.
Do I "HAVE TO" add bloom nutes to fatten up by buds -- NO, not always... heavily dependent on genetics.
Check out this Think Different - No Nutrients diary.

Those aren't popcorn. But are they fat enough? That's all subjective. No nutes though!
Good luck and let us know what you end up doing! #diaryfollowed
Sorry for the late update and crap pics been busy,
Not a huge change tbh, started fattening a little recently and there is a smell when you disturb the flowers but not strong atm, these are pics from last week when it was 8 weeks old, I'll update tommorow or Sat for the 9 weeks, (with the light off hopefully) only change I've made is to start tiger bloom two weeks or so ago (late I know) I'm thinking I have until the end of July or first week in Aug for harvest but I'll wait and see as I have a cheap loupe thing so I can see thricome changes, there are thricome on the plant now on the sugar leaves and some of the fan leaves and in the tiny areas I can see of the flowers, seemed like a long time coming to see anything hopefull haha thanks for popping your head in
Sorry for the lack of updates I've been super busy and I can't seem to bring myself to disrupt the dark just to get a few snaps, I will however try to get some pictures up soon,
The weather is working against me at the moment, it should be about 15c with low humidity here, but its around 26 ish with high humidity at around 60% (53% in with the dutchess) at the moment hoping it starts to cool off a touch next week,
She's doing fine, lots of trichome development, plenty of pistils turning red and new ones growing, she has not fattened as much as I would have hoped but she has fattened, there are 4 or 5 long colas and some other structures underneath those, it's 11 weeks old now and is 9 weeks flower in 2 weeks tomorrow, I have no idea how long is left until H, I imagine around 2 to 3 weeks because she is Huge compared to the other think different I've seen on here, no monster by any means but really quite large now,
Some slight yellowing and browning on the tips of pretty much all leaves, only 2 or 3mm on the very tip so not worried, but I also don't know if its just fade or not
Im aiming for around 20% Amber for a stronger stone
This run is definitely taking longer than the specified time on dutch passion but they do also state that the larger plants can need an extra week or two, I'm going to keep an eye on trichomes and pistils but definitely not done yet anyway
Slightly worried about the lack of smell at this stage but not to worried as it does STONK when you press it slightly,
Again I can only apologise for the awful attempt at a diary but.. Life, it gets in the way sometimes.
So.. She's now just over 12 weeks old with 8 weeks flower and 4 veg, I did the last feed on Friday just gone, and will now flush for a week+ up until she starts showing me Amber's,
I AM NOT CUTTING HER EARLY
I know she's a sativa dominant but, there is Indica genes in there somewhere and I would like around 10-20% Amber if possible, it is going to be a precarious balancing act between prime potency, amber and degradation of the plant as its been around for a long time she's going to go over DP timing cycle by about 5 weeks haha,
As soon as I see Amber's appearing I am going to give it about 36hrs as normal then whack it in the dark for 24hrs (everyone seems to do it so I will try with this one then do two the next time with the same strain put one in the dark and one not and see if there is any difference,
I am thinking that there is now about 1to2 weeks left before harvest (I know I said that last week aha) but what do I know, hmhm
So looking forward to seeing what she's like, I have put so much care love and attention into making her the best she could be and not stressing her, and has received very little stress, a bit of burn on the tips of leaves (bout 4 weeks ago appeared overnight, cut down food and it seemed to fix. The issue) and the heat for the last week and a half or so crept up to about 31 ish all the time at night aswell, but I was running about trying to keep her cool and moist, well it seemed to have paid off as there is very very minimal foxtailing on 2 of the bud sites the majority remain prestine,
I would really appreciate a few guesses as to harvest weight (dry) I could expect, (I won't hold anyone to there word, I know it's an educated guess, haha),
Sorry about the missed weeks and lack of quality pictures, I will endeavour to make up for that with a good final post and roundup 👍👍
Thanks for poking your head in,
Please remember to close the door when you leave 😜
They're looking healthy in their last few weeks! Looks great! Just about to harvest my Think Different in a few weeks -- which is my first grow! Good luck with her!! 😀
@Vincent_Van_Grogh, no bother, nice to have a comparison to be honest haha, and yeah I don't mind that it's taking a long time I would just rather them tell you that they are not fast strains, they say 10-11 weeks from seed to H, but I'm just past 11 weeks now and like I said think I'm going to need around another 3 weeks or so, almost as long as a photo,
There are a lot of nice looking uncommon autos in there selection though to be fair, not just cake this and glue that,
Again in a fair point to dutch passion I think if I had used a smaller pot and attempted to keep the plant smaller I imagine it would finish quicker but like I say I don't mind waiting if its worth waiting for, I just wish they said that they are slow autos so you know what to expect, I see a lot of people saying Dutch passion autos are slow,
Which is a bonus as you say for beginners as you get time to heal after blunders.
I have about 7 more DP seeds 4 TD and a few of the cinderella Jack, I'm going to bloom those and maybe buy a few DP photos before I make my final choice on Dutch passion as a whole, because for me there professionalism and obvious skill and ability and massive choice of quality strains outway the slightly longer wait time for me I think, again I just wish they said on there website that for example think different will usually be around 13-15 weeks not try to cover up the fact,
I havnt even chopped my first grow yet and have been looking at heirloom strains ect
Tempted to do a run of Dr. Grinspoon with a total run time of about 200 days haha,
Can't wait to see what your dutchesses turn out like, they look great but so much different to mine, I've had no major problems throughout or stunting had some slight damage after something dropped on a lower branch but healed quick and didn't stunt I don't think and a tiny calcium problem at the start, lasted 2 maybe 3 days and I fixed it, and I didn't feed bloom nutes straight away as I disnt have any and couldn't afford any, for about 2 weeks or so into flower before I started fox farm,
I don't have any idea what to expect yeild wise I'm imagining (dreaming) around 3 oz ish but I've no idea I'll get some good pics up before it dissapears for the diary and so you can see what I mean about the difference in shape and colour and leaf structure and bud structure and everything haha
You will have to keep me updated our kid 👍
Much luck, to us both yes!
P. S
What are you doing with trim after H?
I've bought some bubble bags so I'll update you on that too!
P. P. S
Jesus.. thats a long post
@Darkdarktime, thanks for peeking from time to time, Dark! Made so many errors! Which makes Dutch Passion useful because the long grow time allows for more healing... But to be honest... Now that I have a grow under my belt... I don't think I prefer Dutch P if I run autos again.... Takes waaaaaaaaay too long! Lol! Thoughts? Good luck again -- to both of us!
@Vincent_Van_Grogh, yeah I'm quite pleased, it's just over 11 weeks now 7 weeks flowering I'm not sure how longs left I'm guessing 2 to 3 weeks or so, yeahI keep poking my head into your tent pal lol
@blvckswords,
Yeah I couldn't afford a tent
The paint is just a vinyl matt emulsion in white yeah I thought about doing something like that but seems to be getting plenty of light atm? do you agree?
What u got burning there dark.. Those pictures look Smokey. Foggy like but i know u know that i know U KNOW what your doing.. Loving your description🏆🏆im still waiting for my cheep loupe.
